Editoriales conflictivas y disidentes en tiempos de dictadura (1966-1975)
Martínez, Jesús A.
Arbor : Ciencia, Pensamiento y Cultura , 2011, DOI: 10.3989/arbor.2011.747n1014
Abstract: On the basis of a rich and unpublished documents from the Archives of the National Institute of Spanish book and in particular the records of the Register Publishing Company, publishers are studied those considered most troubled and dissidents by the Franco dictatorship between 1966 and 1975. Through publishing plans, financial, notarial documents, administrative... and especially police reports reveal the strategies pursued by publishers to overcome the obstacles of the system while implementing the control mechanism put in place by the Press and Printing Act of 1966, which show the apparent gap between political tolerance and greater demand for the instruments of control of print culture. Publishers conflict and dissidents demonstrated the contradictions between changes social, economic and cultural rights of Spain in the sixties and seventies and the political stagnation of the dictatorship.
Abstract: The author suggests to give the name of "addition" to the first twenty-five Cantigas de Santa María, written in prose, of the Ms TJ l. The author thinks that these additions do not come neither from Alfonso X nor from his surrouindings. They should have been added when the cultural reader was different and did not know the language of Galice. What proves this is the fact that the person who wrote this "addition" obtained information from another sources in some miracles (numbers 2 and 3) and those of praise are a theological gloss.

The importance of diet in osteoporosis  [PDF]

Open Journal of Epidemiology (OJEpi) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/ojepi.2013.32012

The knowledge of risk factors associated with the development of osteoporosis (OP) is vital in the prevention strategy of this disease and its physical and economic consequences. The epidemiological characteristics of our population of postmenopausal women exhibit a pattern similar to that described in other studies, showing a proportional relationship between the magnitude of the risk factor and the severity of osteopenia/osteoporosis. Moreover, we observed protective effects for several dietary factors, such as the consumption of fruits, vegetables, and cereals; the moderate consumption of fish, alcohol, and dairy products; and the low intake of red meat, on spinal bone mineral density (BMD). Only the intake of grains and vegetables exerted protective effects on hip BMD.

Isolation of L. interrogans Serovar Pomona in 14 Human Cases and an African Lion, All with Chronic Leptospirosis  [PDF]

Open Journal of Medical Microbiology (OJMM) , 2016, DOI: 10.4236/ojmm.2016.64021
Abstract: Depending on its time of evolution, leptospirosis presents two phases: acute and chronic. The chronic leptospirosis is widely accepted in animals and, until recently, this was denied in humans. Since the 1990s, we have studied dozens of cases demonstrating the chronicity of leptospirosis, including an asymptomatic or undetermined form that may remain so throughout life time or may evolve into a definitive chronic disease and/or worsen, becoming severe cases. A fundamental part for its demonstration is the isolation and characterization of the etiologic agent. In this work, the first 14 isolations of Leptospira sp. are reported from human chronic leptospirosis and an African lion diagnosed with chronic leptospirosis, obtained between 2002 and 2006, in urine, blood, and skin microbiopsies. From the 14 isolations from patients with chronic leptospirosis, one of the cases is apparently congenital and two are from patients with chronic asymptomatic leptospirosis. The diagnosis was performed by means of videorecording in darkfield microscopy in blood and urine, specific culture media, and MAT serology. Argentic impregnation and detection of specific antigen by immunostaining in blood were performed in seven patients; in two patients, skin microbiopsies and biopsies were performed. All cases were positive by video-recording in darkfield, one of them MAT was 1:160, and the rest were positive at low titers (≤1:80). The two skin biopsies were positive by argentic impregnation and immunostaining. Eleven isolates were obtained from blood, two from skin, and one from urine. The isolates were characterized by monoclonal antibodies as Leptospira serovar Pomona. L. Pomona is considered of low virulence and high adaptability to the host, and is frequently associated to chronic leptospirosis in animals. In our study, it was the only isolated serovar, including the one isolated from the lion, which would seem the most common one in our country and responsible for a large portion of
Estratificación de riesgo cardiovascular
Martínez Réding, Jesús;
Archivos de cardiología de México , 2006,
Abstract: in often cited statistic cardiovascular disease is the number 1 cause of death in the worldwide and lot only in the developed world. this represents an aggressive identification and management of risk factors. with the many advances in our understanding and practices of risk factor management we hope to change this tendency predicted to be in 2020 the same. now we know that exists major factor risk and others who predispose. the presence of major risk factors was associated with development of cardiovascular disease. the process of risk factor management is a multidisciplinary one, directly involving both the patient his doctor as well as many others, including nurses, other healthcare and family. the goal is preventing future cardiac events.
El individuo ante el tiempo atemporal
Elizondo Martínez, Jesús Octavio;
Argumentos (México, D.F.) , 2009,
Abstract: contemporary individuals are living a change in its conception of time. this transformation is due to the influence of technologies of information and the new spaces of flow of information on the space-time dimension. some of the effects of this evolving can be observed in human behavior since it shape the way we relate to the timeless time of current technological dimension.

Abstract: the present work approaches a series of aspects related to the affective domain in the mathematical education and it is developed to light of the definition of edumático encounter and on the base of the repercussions that have factors such as the beliefs, the emotions and the attitudes towards the mathematical, their teaching, its learning or its evaluation, insisting on which is reported like unfavourable for the successful development of the classes of mathematical. in such sense, it is sustained in aspects such as the unpopularity of mathematical and the aversion felt by many of which they must learn it, without excluding the difficulties that present some educational ones that has the responsibility to teach it in the class classrooms.
