Object Oriented Programming Constructs' in VHSIC Hardware Description Language ‘Why & How’

Abstract: Object Oriented Programming Structure (OOPS) has proved its importance in software development in terms of advantages like Abstraction, Encapsulation, Polymorphism, Concurrency, Modularity and Reusability. Also the Object Oriented codes are found to be more verifiable & maintainable. Hence they allow reduction in efforts for development, testing & maintenance of the software. In current scenario, digital-VLSI design life cycle begins with modeling using some Hardware Description Language (HDL) followed by functional verification of the HDL-model by its simulation. Often, VLSI-developers show interest in getting software that simulates the functional behavior of the hardware for its analysis from different points of concern. For the sack of effort minimization in co-designing of Digital VLSI chips and their simulating software, it is of interest to introduce automation in code conversion from HDL to OOPS and vise versa. Author’s efforts in this direction are summarized in this document. The outcome of this paper may be developed as a code converter from C++ to VHDL and vise versa.
Emission of Thermal Photon in Heavy-Ion Collisions  [PDF]

We study the leading order processes for photon production using a phenomenological model of quark-gluon plasma (QGP) in relativistic heavy-ion collisions incorporating the parametrization factors in thermal dependent quark mass. The measurement of photon emission provides valuable insights into the early conditions of QGP. The production rate is observed in the low and intermediate range of energy and transverse momentum. The photon yield is found to increase marginally with the effect of thermal dependent quark mass. The results are little enhanced and in good agreement with other work.

Abstract: The Internet provides a quick access to a plethora of the medical literature, in the form of journals, databases, dictionaries, textbooks, indexes, and e-journals, thereby allowing access to more varied, individualized, and systematic educational opportunities. Web search engine is a tool designed to search for information on the World Wide Web, which may be in the form of web pages, images, information, and other types of files. Search engines for internet-based search of medical literature include Google, Google scholar, Yahoo search engine, etc., and databases include MEDLINE, PubMed, MEDLARS, etc. Commercial web resources (Medscape, MedConnect, MedicineNet) add to the list of resource databases providing some of their content for open access. Several web-libraries (Medical matrix, Emory libraries) have been developed as meta-sites, providing useful links to health resources globally. Availability of specific dermatology-related websites (DermIs, DermNet, and Genamics Jornalseek) is useful addition to the ever growing list of web-based resources. A researcher must keep in mind the strengths and limitations of a particular search engine/database while searching for a particular type of data. Knowledge about types of literature and levels of detail available, user interface, ease of access, reputable content, and period of time covered allow their optimal use and maximal utility in the field of medicine.

An Architecture of a Multi Agent Enterprise Knowledge Management System Based on Service Oriented Architecture

Abstract: An enterprise system has many issues which are solved by incorporating the concepts of knowledge management into it. An effective enterprise knowledge management system (EKMS) can be created by using a network of multi agents. An EKMS is a distributed system and distributed systems can be best designed using Service oriented architecture (SOA). These agents act as service providers. The applications can search the repository of services and then select an agent providing the desired service. Based on the knowledge management, software agent technology and service-oriented architecture (SOA), the agent-based knowledge service-oriented system framework is designed to reflect the distributed, flexible and hierarchical characteristics of an enterprise system. Many other issues of an enterprise system are solved as discussed in the paper.

Abstract: We study cosmological constraints on the various accelerating models of the universe using the time evolution of the cosmological redshift of distant sources. The important characteristic of this test is that it directly probes the expansion history of the universe. In this work we analyze the various models of the universe which can explain the late time acceleration, within the framework of General Theory of Relativity (GR) (XCDM, scalar field potentials) and beyond GR (f(R) gravity model).

Abstract: Transient hyperammonemia of neonate (THAN) presents within first few days of postnatal life in form of severe hyperammonemia, a comatose state, absence of abnormal organic aciduria, normal activity of urea cycle enzymes and usually, completes recovery. In contrast to some of the hereditary disorders of the urea cycle, no specific structural changes could be found in THAN in liver.We herein reported a neonate with THAN presented with episode of a generalized clonic seizure of 10-15 secondds duration followed by respiratory failure needing mechanical ventilation.

Abstract: The paper examines the development of a graphical technique, leading to the use of computer graphics, for systematic analysis of limit cycles in Second and Higher Order Electronic Filter Systems. The graphical approach provides an explicit novel insight into the problem. Its accuracy has been sustained by comparing with the results from digital simulation.
