Aconitum: Need for sustainable exploitation (with special reference to Uttarakhand)
Srivastava Nidhi,Sharma Vikas,Kamal Barkha,Jadon Vikash
International Journal of Green Pharmacy , 2010,
Abstract: Red Data Book has a long list of many endangered medicinal plants in which genus Aconitum, known as monkshood, wolfsbane, Devil′s helmet or blue rocket, belonging to the family Ranunculaceae finds a key position. There are over 250 species of Aconitum. These herbaceous perennial plants are chiefly natives of the mountainous parts of the Northern Hemisphere and are characterised by significant and valuable medicinal properties. Illegal and unscientific extraction from the wild has made the important species of this genus endangered. This review focuses on the importance and medicinal uses of the genus (on the basis of literature cited from different Books and Journals and web, visits to the sites and questionnaires), which have been documented and practiced on the basis of traditional as well as scientific knowledge. The review further presents an insight on the role of conventional and modern biotechnological methods for the conservation of the said genus, with special reference to Uttarakhand. Further, it is suggested that the policies of government agencies in coordination with the local bodies, scientists, NGOs and end-users be implemented for the sustainable conservation of Aconitum.
Complications of regional and general anaesthesia in obstetric practice
Jadon Ashok
Indian Journal of Anaesthesia , 2010,
Abstract: Any anaesthetic technique, either regional or general, has potential for complications. Moreover, it has been seen that in obstetric patients, the complications are potentiated due to pregnancy-related changes in physiology and due to various other factors. Increasing trend of caesarean section in the setting of increasing maternal age, obesity and other concomitant diseases will continue to challenge the obstetric anaesthetist in his/her task of providing safe regional and general anaesthesia. This review has highlighted the possible complications of regional and general anaesthesia encountered during the obstetric anaesthesia practice.
Revalidation of a modified and safe approach of stellate ganglion block

Indian Journal of Anaesthesia , 2011,
Abstract: Stellate ganglion block (SGB) is very effective in management of chronic regional pain syndrome (CRPS-1). However, serious complication may occur due to accidental intravascular (intra-arterial) injection of local anaesthetic agents. Abdi and others, has suggested a modified technique in which fluoroscopy-guided block is given at the junction of uncinate process and body of vertebra at C7 level. In this approach vascular structures remain away from the trajectory of needle and thus avoid accidental vascular injection. We have used this technique of SGB in nine patients who were treated for CRPS-I. The blocks were effective in all the patients all the time without any vascular or other serious complication.

Cervical Cancer – A Review Article
Gunjan Jadon
Journal of Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Research , 2012,
Abstract: Cervical Cancer is malignant Carcinoma type of cancer originate in cervix region. The cervix is the narrow portion of the uterus where it joins with the top of the vagina. Most cervical cancers are squamous cell carcinomas, arising in the squamous (flattened) epithelial cells that line the cervix. Adenocarcinoma, arising in glandular epithelial cells is the second most common type. Very rarely, cancer can arise in other types of cells in the cervix. Cancer refers to a class of diseases in which a cell or a group of cells divide and replicate uncontrollably, intrude into adjacent cells and tissues (invasion) and ultimately spread to other parts of the body than the location at which they arose (metastasis) (National Cancer Institute 2009). In cervical cancer, (cancer of the uterine cervix), cancer develops in the tissues of the cervix, which is a part of the female reproductive system. The cervix connects the upper body of the uterus to the vagina. The endocervix (the upper part which is close to the uterus) is covered by glandular cells, and the ectocervix (the lower part which is close to the vagina) is covered by squamous cells. The transformation zone refers to the place where these two regions of the cervix meet (American Cancer Society 2009).
Identification of the sequence motif of glycoside hydrolase 13 family members
Vikash Kumar
Bioinformation , 2011,
Abstract: A bioinformatics analysis of sequences of enzymes of the glycoside hydrolase (GH) 13 family members such as a-amylase, cyclodextrin glycosyltransferase (CGTase), branching enzyme and cyclomaltodextrinase has been carried out in order to find out the sequence motifs that govern the reactions specificities of these enzymes by using hidden Markov model (HMM) profile. This analysis suggests the existence of such sequence motifs and residues of these motifs constituting the –1 to +3 catalytic subsites of the enzyme. Hence, by introducing mutations in the residues of these four subsites, one can change the reaction specificities of the enzymes. In general it has been observed that a -amylase sequence motif have low sequence conservation than rest of the motifs of the GH13 family members.

Abstract: These products are the result of further operation after the derivation of three hydrazones derivative compounds-N'-(4-Chlorobenzylidene)-2-phenylacetohydrazideN'-(2chlorobenzylidene)-2-phenylacetohydrazideN'-(3, 4, 5-trimethoxybenzylidene)-2-phenylacetohydrazideN'-(furan-2-ylmethylene)-2-phenylacetohydrazideN'-(3, 4, 5-Trimethoxybenzylidene)-2-phenylacetohydrazideN'-(1-(4-hydroxyhenyl) ethylidene)-2-phenylacetohydrazideThese make a considerable interest in process development of novel compounds with anticonvulsant, antidepressant, analgesic, and anti-inflammatory, anti platelet, anti malarial, antimicrobial, antimycobacterial, antitumoral, vasodilator, and antiviral and antis chistosomiasis activities. These all three compounds evaluated their biological activities. These observations have been guiding for the development of new hydrazones that possess varied biological activities.
Eco-friendly management of brinjal collar rot caused by Sclerotium rolfsii Sacc.
KULDEEP SINGH JADON*
Indian Phytopathology , 2011,
Abstract: The pathogen associated with collar rot of brinjal was identified as Sclerotium rolfsii (Sacc.). The present investigation was carried out for ecofriendly management of the disease, it includes various practices i.e. summer ploughing, soil solarization, biocontrol agents, green manuring and soil amendments. The soil and seedling dip treatment with Trichoderma viride (T5 ) @ 4g/kg of seedling and 50mg with 5 g FYM/m2 respectively was found most effective in reducing the per cent disease incidence followed by summer ploughing.
Efficient Searching for Geographical Data Gathering using Knowledge Mining
Kuldeep Singh Jadon
Journal of Global Research in Computer Science , 2012,
Abstract: We live in a mutual world. Perhaps, the most productive way of data collection is to recruit a large number of people for data entry. Internet provides a very powerful and adaptable medium to bring together such a large number of people With this in mind, we have developed a framework which enables novice users to build applications for social co-creation of geographic data, called Geogather. Users can create interactive maps with multiple layers to collect geographic information. Geographic information is any data which has a (latitude, longitude) value attached with it. An application can have multiple layers to di erentiate features of di erent types, such as hotels and schools. Geogather allows user roles, thereby adding a social abstraction on top of the application, so users can control the process of data collection. We have used the OpenLayers JavaScript library to create maps, and the web2py web framework to control the application work ow
A Novel Hybrid Algorithm for Permutation Flow Shop Scheduling
Sandeep Kumar,Pooja Jadon
Computer Science , 2014,
Abstract: In the present scenario the recent engineering and industrial built-up units are facing hodgepodge of problems in a lot of aspects such as machining time, electricity, man power, raw material and customers constraints. The job-shop scheduling is one of the most significant industrial behaviours, particularly in manufacturing planning. This paper proposes the permutation flow shop sequencing problem with the objective of makespan minimization using the new modified proposed method of johnsons algorithm as well as the guptas heuristic algorithm. This paper involves the determination of the order of processing of n jobs in m machines. Although since the problem is known to be np-hard for three or more machines, that produces near optimal solution of the given problem. The proposed method is very simple and easy to understand followed by a numerical illustration is given.
