Effects of long-term application of pig manure on ameliorating acidity of red soil

Abstract: Acid soil infertility is a major factor that limits crop production in red soil regions of southern China. The effects of 9-year pig manure application on amelioration of acidity on red soil (Udic Ferralsols) was studied in field lysimeter experiment with maize monoculture under different application rates of manure, i.e. N 0, 150 and 600 kg/hm2 for CK, LM and HM treatment, respectively, and with lime addition 3 t/hm2 lime every 3 years based on N 600 kg/hm2 for HML treatment. The results showed that soil pH increased year by year with increment of 0.085 in HML while manure application did not influence pH in LM. The application of pig manure increased the contents of soil base cations, especially Ca2+, followed by Mg2+. With the increase of manure application rates, the exchangeable acidity of red soil, particularly exchangeable aluminum, was obviously reduced and aluminum toxicity was eliminated after 4-year manure application. Ulteriorly, lime addition increased soil pH and reduced exchangeable acidity in comparison with HM. The manure application increased significantly corn yield on red soil. The minimal amount of manure was Ca 162 kg/hm2, over which pig manure application would increase soil pH. Lime addition once in the early years under long-term manure application would eliminate acid soil infertility with the least investments in the shortest time due to the increase and stabilization of manure on soil pH.

Abstract: The yellow strain F19 and white strain F8801 of Flammulina velutipes were used as parents in the present study. Monokaryotic strains were obtained by means of protoplast monokaryolization. Monokaryotic strains from both parents were paired and four F1 hybrid strains were obtained. Single spore strains were isolated from F1 fruit-body and they were paired with monokaryotic strains by back cross. F2 strains were cultivated and its fruit-body color was recorded for inheritance analysis. The results showed that yellow was dominant, and white recessive, suggesting fruit-body color was controlled by one allele (Cc) and the allele did not link with incompatibility factor gene either A or B.

Chiral Dynamics and S-wave contributions in Semileptonic $D_s/B_s$ decays into $π^+π^-$

Abstract: In this work, we study the semileptonic decay modes $B_s^0\to \pi^+\pi^-\ell^+\ell^-$ and $D_s^+\to \pi^+\pi^-\ell^+ \nu$ in the kinematics region where the $\pi^+\pi^-$ system has a invariant mass in the range $0.5$-$1.3$ GeV. These processes are valuable towards the determination of S-wave $\pi^+\pi^-$ light-cone distribution amplitudes whose normalizations are scalar form factors. We compare the results for scalar form factors predicted in unitarized chiral perturbation theory and extracted from the data on the $B_s\to J/\psi \pi^+\pi^-$. Then the $B_s\to \pi^+\pi^-$ and $D_s\to \pi^+\pi^-$ form factors are calculated in light-cone sum rules, based on which predictions for differential decay widths are made. The results are in good agreement with the experimental data on the $B_s$ and $D_s$ decays into $\pi^+\pi^-$. More accurate measurements at BEPC, LHC and KEKB in future will be helpful to examine our formalism and constrain the input parameters more precisely.
Analysis of genetic diversity among germplasm resource of 57 strains of Coprinus comatus

Abstract: 运用SRAP、RAPD、ISSR 3种分子标记技术对来源不同地区的57株毛头鬼伞Coprinus comatus进行了遗传多样性分析,通过3种分子标记进行聚类分析,当相异系数D为0.48时,可以把57株毛头鬼伞分为4类:Ⅰ类包括Co0001;Ⅱ类包括Co0003;Ⅲ类包括Co0005;Ⅳ类包括其余54个菌种。供试的57个菌株间的相异系数范围从0–0.72,具有一定的遗传多态性。但其中有许多菌株两者之间的相异系数为0,说明毛头鬼伞菌种存在着比较严重的同种异名现象。

Abstract: Objective] This work aims to investigate differential expression proteins at different development stages of Volvariella volvacea using isobaric tags for relative and absolute quantification (iTRAQ)-coupled two-dimensional liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (2D LC-MS/MS) proteomics approach. Methods] Firstly, the proteins extracted from V. volvacea at different development stages were analyzed by SDS-PAGE. Secondly, the tandem mass spcetrometry data obtained from 2D LC-MS/MS were used to search using MASCOT search engine. After that, principal component analysis, hierarchical clustering and Gene Ontology were used to analyze the detected results. Results] Results showed that 1 039 protein groups, included a total of 2 335 unique peptides, were identified. Among them, 1 030 protein groups were provided quantitative information. Contrast to mycelia, 64 up-regulated and 150 down-regulated significantly differential proteins were found in fruiting bodies at different development stages of V. volvacea. Bioinformatics analysis revealed that iTRAQ-coupled 2D LC-MS/MS was a unique method for isolating and identifying protein groups of V. volvacea at different development stages. Conclusion] It is helpful to insight into the molecular mechanism of the fruiting body formation and development of V. volvacea and other macro-basidiomycetes in the future.
Isolation and identification of a bacterial strain JS018 capable of degrading several kinds of organophosphate pesticides

Abstract: Organophosphate pesticides are used widely all over the world and play an important role in plant pest control. However these pesticides are considered as pollutants and harmful to human health. To search for microorganisms that can degrade organophosphate pesticides with high efficiency, a bacterial strain, coded as JS018, was isolated and screened from the soil in the vicinity of Shanming Pesticides Factory, Shanming, Fujian. Laboratory tests showed that the bacterium could degrade several kinds of organophosphate pesticides, such as Parathion-methyl and phoxin. The strain's degrading rates on phoxin, Parathion-methyl, hostathion and dichlorvos in LB liquid fermentation medium for 36 h were 99%, 96%, 80.4% and 69.0% respectively. The bacterial colonies on LB plate appeared shiny and pale-pink in color. The bacteria were Gram-negative coccoids, 0.5 - 0.7 microm in diameter. They grew well at 30 - 38 degrees C and pH 7.0 - 9.0. The optimal temperature and pH for cell growth was 32 degrees C and pH 7.5 - 8.0, respectively. They did not grow in medium containing 6% or more NaCl. The antibiotic susceptibility tests showed that the strain was resistant to ampicillin, penicillin and lincomycin. It was sensitive to kanamycin, tetracycline and gentamicin. Laboratory tests also showed that the strain could ferment D-glucose, trehalose, melezitose and ethanol. It was negative in the production of indole and hydrogen sulfide. It could not liquefy gelatin, utilize citrate, nor ferment L-arabinose, sucrose, D-mannitol, D-xylose, fructose, D-galactose, maltose or lactose. The catalase, urease and nitrate reduction were positive. Based on its morphological, physiological and biochemical properties as well as the 16S rDNA sequence analysis result, the strain was tentatively identified as Roseomonas sp.
Isolation, Identification and Characteristics of a Phoxim-Degrading Bacterium XSP-1

Abstract: A bacteria strain XSP-1 capable of utilizing phoxim as sole carbon source was isolated from sludge collected from a pesticide manufacturer. It was preliminarily identified as Delftia sp. according to its physiological-biochemical analysis and the similarity analysis of its 16S rRNA gene sequence (GenBank Accession No. EF061135). Strain XSP-1 could degrade 100 mg/L phoxim within 7 h completely. The optimal pH and temperature for degradation were 7.0 and 35 degrees C respectively. The degrading rate showed a positive correlation to the initial inoculum size. Strain XSP-1 also showed good degrading performance against methyl parathion, chlorpyrifos and fenitrothion. PCR detection with degenerated primers designed according to the conserved sequences of reported mpd gene did not find target band, but it needs further study to verify whether strain XSP-1 harbors a new mpd gene.

Abstract: Based on the analysis of its establishment and implementation of controlling scheme of the teaching quality management system (TQMS) for advanced institutes of technologies domestic and overseas, from the inspect of the management principles of TQM and 6σas well as the process method of ISO9000 family standards, in combination with the evolution scheme of teaching quality of undergraduate courses in ordinary universities, applying the running principles of PDCA ,this paper has probed into the objectives of the establishment and improvement of the management system on teaching quality, put forward its basic procedures. We believe that its establishment and maintenance should have four stages, namely, plan, do, check and action, as well as eight steps, which includes decision-making, programming, analysis, design, running, assessing, improvement and perfection, which, lays a solid foundation on concrete teaching quality assurance programs for its improvement. Résumé: Basé sur l’analyse de l’établissement et de l’application du plan de contr le du système de gestion de la qualité d’enseignement pour les instituts de technologie supérieurs tant nationaux qu’ étrangers, à partir de l’examination des principes de gestion de ce système et de 6σainsi que la méthode de traitement des standards familial ISO9000, en combinaison avec l’évolution du système de la qualité d’enseignement des cours universitaires dans les universités ordinaires, en applicant les principes de PDCA, cet essai explore les objectifs de l’établissement et de l’amélioration du système de gestion de la qualité d’enseignement et met en avant ses procédures de base. On croit que son établissement et maintenance devrait comporter quatre étapes, soit plan, application, révision et action, et huit pas qui comprennent prise de décision, programmation, analyse, design, application, évaluation, amélioration et perfection, qui, jette une base solide avec des programmes concrets d’assurance de la qualité d’enseignement pour son amélioration. Method of defense SQL injection attacks based on sequence alignment

Abstract: SQL injection attacks pose a serious threat to the security of Web applications because they can give attackers unrestricted access to databases that contain sensitive information. This paper proposed a new method based on sequence alignment for protecting existing Web applications against SQL injection. Elaborated implementation and detection pattern with sequence alignment algorithm in detail. Finally analyzed and tested the correctness and performance of the method. Experimental results show that this method is simple and effective.
