Abstract: The fracture toughness, the driving force and the fracture energy for an infinite plate with a fractal crack are investigated in the fractal space in this work. The perimeter-area relation is adopted to derive the transforma-tion rule between damage variables in the fractal space and Euclidean space. A plasticity yield criterion is introduced and a damage variable tensor is decomposed into tensile and compressive components to describe the distinct behaviors in tension and compression. A plastic damage constitutive model for concrete in the Euclidean space is developed and generalized to fractal case according to the transformation rule of damage variables. Numerical calculations of the present model with and without fractal are conducted and compared with experimental data to verify the efficiency of this model and show the necessity of considering the fractal effect in the constitutive model of concrete. The structural response and mesh sensitivity of a notched unre-inforced concrete beam under 3-point bending test are theoretical studied and show good agreement with the experimental data.
Construction and characterization of a bacterial artificial chromosome library of rice 5460F

Abstract: Thermo-sensitive genie male sterile (TGMS) rice has a number of desirable characteristics for hybrid rice production. Many studies have demonstrated that the sterility of TGMS rice is controlled by a single recessive gene. It has been mapped for the first time on chromosome 8 and namedtms 1. Several AFLP markers which tightly linked to thetms 1 gene have been identified recently. In order to develop a detailed physical map of thetms1 gene-encompassing region and finally clone thetms1 gene, a bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC) library of rice 5460F (the fertile mutant line of TGMS rice 5460S) using a modified vector pECBAC1 has been constructed. The constructed 5460F BAC library consists of 16 896 clones with an average insert size of 119 kb, which represents about 4.7 times rice haploid genome equivalents. Neither chloroplast nor mitochondrial DNA was detected from the library. The library was screened with three single copy sequence amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP) markers which tightly linked totms1 gene as probes and eight positive clones were identified.
Molecular verification of the integration ofTripsacum dactyloides DNA into wheat genome through wide hybridization

Abstract: RAPD and RFLP analyses of double haploid lines which derived from hybridization between hexaploid wheat (Triticum aestivum L. 2n=42) and eastern gamagrass (Tripsacum dactyloides L.2n=4x=72) are reported. Two of the 340 Operon primers have been screened, which stably amplifiedTripsacum dactyloides (male parent) specific bands in the double haploid lines. These results confirm the fact thatTripsacum dactyloides DNA has been integrated into wheat genome by sexual hybridization at molecular level. This idea has been further testified by RFLP analysis. Application and potentials of transferringTripsacum dactyloides DNA into wheat genome by sexual hybridization in wheat breeding are discussed.

Abstract: The synthesis,morphology and mechanical properties ofsimultaneous interpenetrating networks of PU(HTPB)/P(MMA-co-EGDMA)-IPN were studied.The results show that the relative polymerization ratesof two networks have remarkable effect on the morphology and mechanicalproperties of the IPN material.When the relative formation rates of bothnetworks are close to each other,the IPN have moderate sizes of domains,stronger boundary combination and optimum mechanical properties.The cross-link densities of the component networks have remarkable effect on theproperties of the IPN,only the crosslink density of the network which isfirst formed has obvious effect on morphology of the IPN.

Abstract: The organoclay(TMT)-natural rubber(NR)nanocomposites were prepared by mixing intercalation method.The structure of organoclay was analyzed by X-ray diffraction(XRD)and FTIR.The heaf release rate and the smoke production of the TMT/NR nanocomposites are lower than those of montmorillonite/NR composites.The experimental flammability and mass loss curve were analyzed,and the flame retardant mechanism of TMT/NR was discussed.The results indicate that TMT/NR nanocomposites is a flame retardant and environmentally friend system.

Abstract: 采用羟基不饱和脂肪酸,通过固相法对硬脂酸改性的工业纳米碳酸钙CCR进行表面改性制备了R-CCR,红外光谱(FTIR)显示改性剂已结合在碳酸钙表面.通过熔融共混法制备了聚丙烯(PP)/乙丙橡胶(EPDM)/纳米碳酸钙二元和三元复合材料.并利用扫描电子显微镜(SEM)和透射电子显微镜(TEM)观察复合材料的微观形态,发现R-CCR的加入,使PP复合材料的拉伸断面出现明显的拉丝状结构和大面积的屈服变形,与PP/EPDM/CCR相比,PP/EPDM/R-CCR冲击断面的空穴明显增加并细化,R-CCR在PP基体中分散均匀,且界面模糊,与基体的相容性明显优于CCR.复合材料流变行为的研究表明R-CCR的加入,体系储存模量G′和损耗模量G″随频率的增加而增加,对损耗因子和复数粘度的影响不大;但PP/EPDM/R-CCR复合材料的表观粘度,明显低于PP/EPDM/CCR和纯PP,同时,剪切速率的增加可有效降低体系的表观粘度.力学性能表明,R-CCR对PP同时起到增韧和增强的效果.且R-CCR和EPDM对PP具有协同增韧的效果.在保持聚丙烯的模量和强度基本不变的前提下,大幅度的改善聚丙烯的韧性,同时加工性能保持不变.

Abstract: .7%;断裂伸长率由594%下降至493%,变化率缩小至17.0%,而纯NR的拉伸强度由22.0 Mpa下降至2.4 Mpa,变化率为89.1%;断裂伸长率由579%下降至168%,变化率为71.0%.扫描电镜分析表明,RH-CW与NR基体的界面相容性较CW改善.热重分析表明,CW的加入使NR的5%失重温度降低,但残重增加,微分曲线在520℃处出现了一个小峰,RH-CW的加入,使该峰变大,残重进一步增加.
Comparative analgesic effect of Ligusticum chuanxiong pieces and its products in mice

Abstract: The present study was undertaken with the objective of finding out the comparative analgesic effect of Ligusticum chuanxiong (LC) pieces decoction, LC formula granule decoction, liquored LC pieces decoction and liquored LC formula granule decoction. The analgesic effects were analyzed using the hot plate and acetic-induced writhing test in mice, and antidysmenorrheic effect was observed with primary dysmenorrhea model. The results showed that four kinds of LC decoction had definite effect in delaying incubation period and decreasing the writhing frequency within 30 min. They also effectively relieved dysmenorrhea. Moreover, liquored LC had better analgesic effect than crude LC in four decoctions.
