VMM BASED CONSTRAINED RANDOM VERIFICATION OF AN SOC BLOCK

Abstract: This paper describes a Verification Methodology Manual (VMM) based constrained random verification of a SoC block.The SoC block taken into consideration is Camera interface module (CIM). The environment of verification, which is created by means of verification methodology manual (VMM) for System Verilog, is scalable, predictable and reusableand can reduce verification time. Using this environment of verification, we can not only know whether there are bugs in the design under test (DUT) or not, butalso can easily locate design errors and corner cases with the help of constraints.

Abstract: Pterospermum. Xylocarpum (Family: Sterculiaceae) is a wild medicinal plant distributed throughout India and south East Asia. It is used against treatment of joint diseases like gout, rheumatism, arthritis. In present study acetone, hexane, chloroform and methanol extracts were prepared from the leaf of P.xylocarpum and phytochemical analysis was done to screen alkaloids, steroids, saponins, tri terpinoidal saponins, carbohydrates, flavonoids, polyphenols, tannins and glycosides. Antimicrobial activity was tested against nine bacterial and nine fungal species. Among the four extracts methanol and acetone extracts showed significant anti bacterial activity and there is no significant activity against fungal strains and it was found to be effective against two tested bacterial species viz, xanthomonas campestis and E.Coli. Methanol crude extract was prepared by the cold maceration process and it was optimized for the yield, the crude extract was tested for anti bacterial activity at different concentrations viz, 250,500,1000mg/ml among them 500mg/ml concentration has shown significant antibacterial activity and in the methanol crude extract the phytochemical analysis showed the presence of alkaloids, steroids, phenols and cardiac glycosides.

Abstract: Mesh topologies are important for large-scale highly engineered systems. The Quality of Service (QoS) in such systems is known to decrease as the number of nodes and messages increases. We present a scalable approach for dissemination that exploits all the shortest paths between a pair of nodes and improves the QoS. Despite the presence of multiple shortest paths in a system, we show that these paths cannot be exploited by spreading the messages over the paths in a simple round-robin manner; nodes along one of these paths will always handle more messages than the nodes along the other paths. We characterize the set of shortest paths between a pair of nodes in regular mesh topologies and derive rules, using this characterization, to effectively spread the messages over all the available paths. These rules ensure that all the nodes that are at the same distance from the source handle roughly the same number of messages. By using multipath propagation and demonstrating the transmission results in case of propagation irregularities and link failures the QoS improved with this approach

Abstract: To understand complex biological systems, the research community has produced huge corpus of gene expression data. A large number of clustering approaches have been proposed for the analysis of gene expression data. However, extracting important biological knowledge is still harder. To address this task, clustering techniques are used. In this paper, hybrid Hierarchical k-Means algorithm is used for clustering and biclustering gene expression data is used. To discover both local and global clustering structure biclustering and clustering algorithms are utilized. A validation technique, Figure of Merit is used to determine the quality of clustering results. Appropriate knowledge is mined from the clusters by embedding a BLAST similarity search program into the clustering and biclustering process. The Mechanism of Functional Up-Regulation of P2X3 Receptors of Trigeminal Sensory Neurons in a Genetic Mouse Model of Familial Hemiplegic Migraine Type 1 (FHM-1)

Abstract: A knock-in (KI) mouse model of FHM-1 expressing the R192Q missense mutation of the Cacna1a gene coding for the α1 subunit of CaV2.1 channels shows, at the level of the trigeminal ganglion, selective functional up-regulation of ATP -gated P2X3 receptors of sensory neurons that convey nociceptive signals to the brainstem. Why P2X3 receptors are constitutively more responsive, however, remains unclear as their membrane expression and TRPV1 nociceptor activity are the same as in wildtype (WT) neurons. Using primary cultures of WT or KI trigeminal ganglia, we investigated whether soluble compounds that may contribute to initiating (or maintaining) migraine attacks, such as TNFα, CGRP, and BDNF, might be responsible for increasing P2X3 receptor responses. Exogenous application of TNFα potentiated P2X3 receptor-mediated currents of WT but not of KI neurons, most of which expressed both the P2X3 receptor and the TNFα receptor TNFR2. However, sustained TNFα neutralization failed to change WT or KI P2X3 receptor currents. This suggests that endogenous TNFα does not regulate P2X3 receptor responses. Nonetheless, on cultures made from both genotypes, exogenous TNFα enhanced TRPV1 receptor-mediated currents expressed by a few neurons, suggesting transient amplification of TRPV1 nociceptor responses. CGRP increased P2X3 receptor currents only in WT cultures, although prolonged CGRP receptor antagonism or BDNF neutralization reduced KI currents to WT levels. Our data suggest that, in KI trigeminal ganglion cultures, constitutive up-regulation of P2X3 receptors probably is already maximal and is apparently contributed by basal CGRP and BDNF levels, thereby rendering these neurons more responsive to extracellular ATP.
