Abstract: Current travels aiming at relaxation, entertainment and meeting other cultures and customs are becoming ever-demanding compared to travels in the near and distant past. Tourist offer has entered the phase when accommodation, food, favorable climate, even cultural and historical sights do not seem to be crucial factors which influence the decision of a contemporary man to visit the destination, which has been mainly achieved by the influence of mass media, fast information transfer as well as easy access to almost all world's tourist destinations. Cultural tourism has been motivated by the need of visiting places of attractive cultural and artistic content in order to meet, understand and respect the variety of local and regional cultures.

Glasnik Srpskog Geografskog Dru?tva , 2012, DOI: 10.2298/gsgd1203131b
Abstract: The tourism industry is a great potential for the development of Serbia. The main characteristics of the existing and potential tourist offer of Serbia are interesting and diverse natural resources and cultural and historical heritage. Felix Romuliana, established palace of the Roman emperor Galerius, is located in the valley of the Black Timok, near Zaje ar and the village of Gamzigrad in eastern Serbia. The palace was built in the late third and early fourth century, as a testamentary construction. This is where the Roman emperor was buried and included among the gods. It is the best preserved example of Roman palatial architecture which in 2007 was added to the List of World Heritage of UNESCO. One of the key tasks of this paper is to point out ways of promoting and popularizing this tourism potential that can be used as a resource for the development of cultural tourism and as such strengthen the position of Serbia''s tourist offer in Europe. The aim of this paper is contained in the presentation of the site Felix Romuliana and extraction of the most important attractiveness through valorization, which on the bases of historical and cultural significance may be activated for tourism purposes. Abstract: Bordering area of the Banat region consists of nine municipalities. These municipalities border with Romania and have the furthest, peripheral eastern position in Vojvodina. Demographic situation of this area is generally not favourable and one of the main problems is high unemployment rate. In order to improve the current demographic situation, it is necessary to offer certain proposals for revitalisation. The unemployment rate could be changed with a long-term plan and its realisation conducted in several stages. What needs to be taken into account is proper planning of all activities at different levels. A research study conducted in the period from January 2007 to October 2008 shows that all bordering municipalities of Banat decreased the number of unemployed people in relation to the beginning of the year 2007. Municipality Bela Crkva has the highest percent of the unemployed, whereas oka and Novi Kne evac have the lowest percentage. The unemployed people are mainly older categories with a lower level of education. .

Abstract: The changes in the population number of Banat were frequent, because the periods of demographic and economic prosperity were followed by the periods of recession and depopulation. Major demographic changes were caused by moving of people, wars, epidemics and extinction, elemental and organized migrations, changes of countries and their borders, different economical changes, industrializations, urbanizations etc. Some of these demographic factors have a positive effect, and some of them have a negative effect on the present state of Banat population. Border region of Banat consists of 9 municipalities. The main aim in the article is a detailed analysis of border municipalities in Banat: Novi Kne evac, oka, Kikinda, Nova Crnja, iti te, Se anj, Plandi te, Vr ac and Bela Crkva in order to define the present condition. The changes in the population number of border regions in Banat, obtained in the last four censuses, have shown that all municipalities record a decreasing trend. The paper made a detailed demographic analysis, which comprises changes in the population number, population structure, households, population growth and migrations. .

Journal of the Geographical Institute Jovan Cvijic, SASA , 2009, DOI: 10.2298/ijgi0902079i
Abstract: Arithmetic mean age of 41.0, according to the census in 2002 in Vojvodina, combined with other parameters implies that the population in Vojvodina is old population, which is unfavorable condition. The population number has been constantly decreasing, coupled with the decrease in younger population, which has reproductive capacities, and the mature population, the active population segment , i.e. having productive capacities within the society. South Banat village Laudonovac is an example of a typical Vojvodina village. Village with a marked depopulation, which inevitably leads to its disappearance. The high mortality rate, birth rate whose value has been 0 in the last 10 years, average age of 54.5 years, intensive migrations and bad economic situation are causing disappearance of one more Vojvodina village from geography map.
Revista de Turism : Studii si Cercetari in Turism , 2011,
Abstract: The paper examines the concept and measurement of quality of service in the hotel sector. The ratings of guests’ expectations and calculations of SERVQUAL gap (discrepancies between expectations and perceptions), has been the most reliable method in estimating the precise diagnosis of quality deficiency. The findings of questionnaire research aimed at measuring the service quality in spa hotels are presented in this paper. The research was conducted in hotels of the third category (three-star hotels) which are located in the most visited spa centers in Serbia: Vrnja ka banja, Ni ka banja, Soko banja and Mataru ka banja, during the months of September - November 2009. Service quality was measured with a model based on SERVQUAL model. The results may be important for providers of hotel services and contribute to the advancement of business through the adjustment of the product needs of hotel guests.
