Reflexivity and adjustment strategies at the interfaces
Ismael Teomiro
Nordlyd : Troms? University Working Papers on Language & Linguistics / Institutt for Spr?k og Litteratur, Universitetet i Troms? , 2011,
Abstract: I argue in this work that Reinhart & Reuland’s (1993) conditions A and B hold for Spanish. I provide evidence supporting the hypothesis that this language makes use of both SE and SELF-anaphors. Inherent reflexive verbs undergo an internal argument reduction operation in the lexicon. However, the syntax always requires two arguments. Therefore certain clitics, which are SE-anaphors, are inserted in these derivations. This is a last-resort mechanism that makes an adjustment between the valence of the lexical entry of the verb and the requirements of the syntax in order for the derivation to converge at the C-I interface. These clitics are syntactic arguments. Nevertheless, they are not interpreted as semantic arguments since they violate the double chain condition, which forces nominal elements to share both a tense and thematic features with the verb and the tense heads. Non- inherent reflexive verbs require the presence of a SELF-anaphor, which is formed out of a SE-anaphor along with a protector SELF element. Therefore, both syntactic elements are interpreted as two distinguishable semantic elements at C-I despite the fact that there is binding between them both. The interpretation of both syntactic elements as just one semantic element is a pragmatic epiphenomenon.
Heroes’ Dilemma and Believers’ Dilemma  [PDF]
Ismael Tabu?ar Fortunado
Open Journal of Philosophy (OJPP) , 2016, DOI: 10.4236/ojpp.2016.63024
Abstract: Based on our knowledge, understanding, and wisdom, we choose. We sometimes cannot choose both, two or more and nothing. We either believe what we choose or not because of our intentions. Heroes’ dilemma and Believers’ dilemma are about two choices that both have negative results when chosen, but the person may choose the one better than the other based on his character. The author gave twelve examples, eight examples for heroes’ dilemma and four examples for believers’ dilemma. The choice is the good. Heroes’ dilemma requires an act of heroism and believers’ dilemma requires an act of courage. Actions analyses and textual analyses are observed.
Radiator Vibration Fatigue Analysis  [PDF]
Toure Ismael, Buyun Sheng
Journal of Electronics Cooling and Thermal Control (JECTC) , 2017, DOI: 10.4236/jectc.2017.71002
Abstract: This paper is the second step of our work. The first step presents a set of parametric studies performed on automotive radiators by designing different heat exchanger models. The analysis focuses on the cooling performance for automobile radiator by changing several dimensions of the radiator fin phase (P2.5, P2.4, P2.3, P2.2, and P2.1) as well as the importance of coolant flow lay-out on the radiator global performance [1]. The second step consists on the study of the vibration fatigue of the sample with the best heat dissipation performance we design (radiator P2.1). We use Hyper Mesh to proceed with the finite element model. Frequency response analysis is solved by using MSC. Nastran (MSC. MD. Nastran. v2010.1.3-MAGNiTUDE), fatigue durability ana-lysis by using MSC Fatigue. In this experiment, the frequency response of the unit load (the unit load is 1 g) is analyzed. Based on the analysis of the frequency response of the unit load, the fatigue life of the radiator is analyzed by the PSD (power spectral density) curve and the S-N curve. From our experiments results, we observe that the radiator we design meets the international requirements of fatigue vibration under automobile normal working condition.

Puga,Ismael;
Estudios pedagógicos (Valdivia) , 2011, DOI: 10.4067/S0718-07052011000200013
Abstract: using data from the survey emsc 2001, the paper presents an empirical analysis of the impact of “municipalización” and the distinction between public and particular-subsidized (ps) schools into the future occupational achievement of individuals. the results seem concomitant with previous research which shows that ps schooling does not provide better pedagogic results than its counterpart once the students’ social origins are controlled, and further provide evidence for the effect of segregating students into different modalities of schooling into greater reproduction of social inequalities trough other indirect mechanisms. these mechanisms, i propose, should be tracked back to the segregation of networks and social capital, the differentiation as well of expectatives, and the establishment of distinct symbolic credentials which are recognized as such in the labor market. the ps schools, without really contributing to educational outputs, do generate greater inequelities of educational and occupational opportunities.

ABSTRACT: The "latin-barometer" is perhaps the most important public opinion survey which analysies the latinamerican and the spanish situation together each year. Moreover it allows the comparition of indicators between eighteen countries. This paper shows the main results obtained during 1997. These results are compared with wihic were obtained on 1996. It comparies issues such as the instituctional and political development and the conditios of democracy; it linked to other valuations of the economic situation. These data offer us a clear description about the evoluction of public opinion in these countries.
Magia, ciencia y religión en Antropología Social. De Tylor a Levi-Strauss
Ismael Apud
Theorizing Impending Peripheries: Postindustrial Landscapes at the Edge of Hyper-modernity’s Collapse
Ismael Vaccaro
Journal of International and Global Studies , 2010,
Abstract: This article discusses the ways in which the predominant economic mechanisms of capitalism, characterized by a hyper-mobility of flows, affect actual places and people. The rationality informing these mechanisms is the quest for a reduction of costs and the increase of potential benefit, and this can only be achieved by jumping from locale to locale searching for a cheaper labor force, new pools of resources, or an absence of environmental regulations. Mobility becomes the fundamental framework through which to understand modernity and its new economic articulations and their associated sovereignties. Anthropology has often discussed and theorized the impact of market integration on local communities across the world. This paper, in contrast, analyzes the extraction, or the disconnection, of a community away from the market.
