The Multireferencialidade served for theoretical boarding. The category "the environment and the care in ITU: The emergency of meanings concerning the intensive therapy and the human care ", discloses that the units of intensive therapy are not (des)humans, but different spaces of excessively with customers in situations differentiated. In the category "the Real and the ideal of ITU: The emergency of meanings about human and the desconstru o of the speech of humanization in intensive therapy ", were perceived that, at definitive moments, the practical ones to take care of can be understood as incompatible with human values, even so, essential as techniques/technologies for the maintenance of the life. The humanization in intensive therapy is concluded that (is present only in the speech, therefore the concepts that if have, do not allow to affirm that the desumaniza o is in the practical one of nursing. It was still observed that the comfort idea very becomes related with the one of humanization; that the ethics are the possibilitadora base; the condition of the critical customer is the main obstacle for the humanization.

Vitória Regis, Lorena Fagundes Ladeia;Porto, Isaura Setenta;
Revista Brasileira de Enfermagem , 2006, DOI: 10.1590/S0034-71672006000400018
Abstract: this text tries to understand the nursing team and their (dis)satisfactions in the work. we consider the association with the theory of basic human needs of abraham maslow as a way to systemize and to comprehend the recurrent situations and the day-by-day nursing issues. the necessities are structuralized hierarchically in physiological, security, social, auto-esteem and auto-accomplishment indicating the degree of satisfaction (from the disease to the fullness) of an individual or group. the advantage of this approach consists of being able to use the solid, depth and rich maslow theory in concrete and particular situations of the nursing team.

Regis, Lorena Fagundes Ladeia Vitoria;Porto, Isaura Setenta;
Revista da Escola de Enfermagem da USP , 2011, DOI: 10.1590/S0080-62342011000200005
Abstract: care is associated with the nursing actions considering, above all, a group of needs of the nursing team. the objectives of this study were: to characterize situations of (dis) satisfaction of the nursing team at work and analyze their possible implications. maslow's theory of basic human needs was used to understand the motivational factors, and a qualitative methodology was used applying quantitative techniques. the method consisted of participant observation with registers on a filed diary associated to the application of a questionnaire on 18 participants from the nursing team of a public hospital in rio de janeiro. the study indicates that the basic needs of the nursing team are compromised, especially safety and physiological needs, which are the most primary. the compromising of the subjects' primary needs implies health hazards and reduced work performance in hospital settings.

Christovam, Barbara Pompeu;Porto, Isaura Setenta;Oliveira, Denise Cristina de;
Revista da Escola de Enfermagem da USP , 2012, DOI: 10.1590/S0080-62342012000300028
Abstract: the objective of this study was to build and present a theoretical definition of the concept of nursing care management in hospital settings, based on specific literature. we chose to use concept analysis strategies for building concepts, the rules of archeological analysis for forming concepts, and lexical analysis as the theoretical-methodological framework. the operationalization of the strategies and rules for forming the concept permitted the construction of the concept of nursing care in hospital settings. the constructed concept presented, by its nature, the capacity to form a dialectic integration of the aspects relative to the knowing-doing of care and management. the theoretical definition of the concept of nursing care management in hospital settings assigned meaning to the term, in the initial context of the construction of a theory of nursing care management in health services.
