Abstract: O texto apresenta uma retrospectiva histórica da literatura no Brasil com desta- ques para o imaginário evocado a partir dos textos literários produzidos desde o século XV até hoje, o qual pode ser, em linhas gerais, assim descrito: a) no século XVI, a imagem paradisíaca/a fascina o do novo; b) no século XVII, o jogo das aparências; c) no século XVIII, a idéia da independência; e (d) no século XIX, a radiografia da alma humana. Em seguida, este artigo destaca os escritores de maior express o na Literatura Infantil no país, chegando à discuss o sobre as experiências desenvolvidas, em escolas brasileiras, com livros de Literatura Infantil. Em síntese, mostra que o texto literário deve ser visto como um encontro entre o leitor e os personagens, que possibilita interpreta es e desdobramentos de idéias e sentimentos. Refor a, ainda, a Literatura Infantil como ponte que liga as letras ao sentido, à análise, à interpreta o, à realidade, ao sonho, à imagina o. Palavras-chave: Imaginário. Literatura Infantil. Seabra, Larissa Mont'Alverne Jucá;Pedrosa, Lucia Fátima Campos;
Revista de Nutri??o , 2010, DOI: 10.1590/S1415-52732010000600010
Abstract: astaxanthin, a carotenoid belonging to the xanthophyll class, has stirred great interest due to its antioxidant capacity and its possible role in reducing the risk of some diseases. astaxanthin occurs naturally in microalgae, such as haematococcus pluvialis and the yeast phaffia rhodozyma, and has also been considered to be the major carotenoid in salmon and crustaceans. shrimp processing waste, which is generally discarded, is also an important source of astaxanthin. the antioxidant activity of astaxanthin has been observed to modulate biological functions related to lipid peroxidation, having beneficial effects on chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease, macular degeneration and cancer. researches have shown that both astaxanthin obtained from natural sources and its synthetic counterpart produce satisfactory effects, but studies in humans are limited to natural sources. there is no established nutritional recommendation regarding astaxanthin daily intake but most studies reported beneficial results from a daily intake of 4mg. thus, this review discusses some aspects of the carotenoid astaxanthin, highlighting its chemical structure and antioxidant activity, and some studies that report its use in humans.

The text is faces a critical view ofdescritivism on Constitutional Law studies. Thesestudies, traditionally, try to understand judicialdecisions as an internal analysis – specially thosedecisions on constitutional questions – that ignorepolitical tensions in modern societies.Reconsidering elements of Marx’s theory onconcrete and objective reality, the essay does notsupport the existence of a law theory in Marx,rather explains what could be won toconstitucionalism from Marx’s point of view andpolitical philosophy.

Estudos Econ?micos (S?o Paulo) , 2010, DOI: 10.1590/S0101-41612010000400001
Abstract: this paper investigates the impact of education on income distribution of brazilian states and regions, using a semi parametric method, following dinardo, fortin and lemieux (1996) and dataset from the pnad 1999. contrafactual densities were constructed weighting the distribution of the poorest region/state (northeast / ceará) by the profile of education in the richer one (southeast / s?o paulo). results: between 12% and 36% of the difference in income is explained by the educational differences; the weighting by education increased by about 55% the average income in counterfactuals; the counterfactual income of the northeast amounts to 93% of the average brazilian income; the higher the percentile considered income, the greater the contribution of the difference in schooling for the difference in income; and the income dispersion of the poorest regions increases when they provide the level of schooling of the richest regions, while the wage profile of the region is kept constant.
