PRODUCTION PARAMETERS OF SUNFLOWER (HELIANTHUS ANNUUS. L.) INFLUENCED BY WEATHER CONDITIONS AND FOLIAR APPLICATION OF PENTAKEEP - V AND ATONIK

Abstract: In field trials with sunflower was monitored the influence of yearly weather conditions and foliar applications of both Atonik and Pentakeep V on a yield and fat content in sunflower achenes (hybrids Alexandra PR, NK Alego and NK Brio) in years 2009 – 2010. Experimental task was realized by field polyfactorial experiments established in warm corn production area (climatic region: warm; climatic subregion: dry; climatic zone: warm, dry with mild winter and longtime sunshine, brown soil) in Center of Plant Biology and Ecology of FAFR SUA in Dolná Malanta. The trials were established by split plot design with randomized complete blocks base design. From two-year small plot trials was found statistically non-significant impact of weather conditions of year, hybrids and application of Atonik and Pentakeep – V on achene yield of sunflower. The impact of monitored factors on fat content was statistically high significant. In variable yearly weather conditions higher average yield and achene fat content was achieved in year 2010. The most adaptable for production on concrete agroecological conditions were hybrids NK Brio and Alexandra PR (3.03 t ha-1), for fat content NK Brio (44.25 %). Foliar application of Pentakeep V in dose 0.1 l ha-1, 0.5 l ha-1 respectively most significant influenced the yield of achenes (3.43 t ha-1), fat content (44.71 %) respectively.
INFLUENCE OF HYBRIDS ON FORMATION OF YIELD-FORMING ELEMENTS OF SUNFLOWER (HELIANTHUS ANNUUS L.)

Abstract: Field polyfactorial trial was carried out on experimental base Center of the Plant Biology and Ecology in Nitra Dolná Malanta in years 2009 – 2010. In the experiment was studied the impact of temperature and precipitation conditions of experimental years 2009 and 2010 on creation of yield – forming elements (number of plants per unit area, number of heads per unit area, average of head, weight of head, WTA – weight of thousand achenes), yield and fat content of sunflower. Within biological material were used hybrids NK Ferti and NK Simfoni. Experimental years 2009 and 2010 were in term of weather conditions very different. From total evaluation of impact of experimental year and biological material on creation and forming of yield - forming elements flows that more favorable was year 2009 for temperatures and precipitation. Higher yields and fat content were found in year 2010. Within the yield – forming creation, quantity and quality was more preferable the hybrid NK Ferti.
Minimality of interval exchange transformations with restrictions

Abstract: It is known since 40 years old paper by M. Keane that minimality is a generic (i.e. holding with probability one) property of an irreducible interval exchange transformation. If one puts some integral linear restrictions on the parameters of the interval exchange transformation, then minimality may become an "exotic" property. We conjecture in this paper that this occurs if and only if the linear restrictions contain a Lagrangian subspace of the first homology of the suspension surface. We prove this in the "only if" direction and provide a series of examples to support the converse one. We also conjecture that the unique ergodicity remains a generic property if the restrictions on the parameters do not contain a Lagrangian subspace.
On typical leaves of a measured foliated 2-complex of thin type

Abstract: It is known that all but finitely many leaves of a measured foliated 2-complex of thin type are quasi-isometric to an infinite tree with at most two topological ends. We show that if the foliation is cooriented, and the associated R-tree is self-similar, then a typical leaf has exactly one topological end. We also construct the first example of a foliated 2-complex of thin type whose typical leaf has exactly two topological ends. `Typical' means that the property holds with probability one in a natural sense.
Symmetric band complexes of thin type and chaotic sections which are not quite chaotic

Abstract: In a recent paper we constructed a family of foliated 2-complexes of thin type whose typical leaves have two topological ends. Here we present simpler examples of such complexes that are, in addition, symmetric with respect to an involution and have the smallest possible rank. This allows for constructing a 3-periodic surface in the three-space with a plane direction such that the surface has a central symmetry, and the plane sections of the chosen direction are chaotic and consist of infinitely many connected components. Moreover, typical connected components of the sections have an asymptotic direction, which is due to the fact that the corresponding foliation on the surface in the 3-torus is not uniquely ergodic.

Abstract: the present document examines some approaches about time conception associated to work on social sciences and on different scientific perspectives, mainly originated in the simplicity and order paradigm; the document starts by analyzing the subject, research through time and emergence of time concept since various approaches, in order to explore some implications in strategic management research. the document studies the development of simplicity paradigm from its mechanist version to identify that this approach conceives time as a given parameter. this work aims to show that the inclusion of consideration about the subject and the existence of internal observers in systems allow suggesting that time can be a variable that must be considered in social sciences and in studies about organization strategy.
STUDIES REGARDING THE CRIOPROTECTIVE PROPRIETIES OF THE VITRIFICATION MEDIA, WITH GLYCEROL, SUCROSE AND FICOLL 70 USED IN EMBRYO CRYOPRESERVATION

Abstract: The aim of our paper was to make a series of experiments in order to determine theconcentration at which three cryoprotectants (glycerol, sucrose and Ficoll 70) singlyand in pairs would vitrify on plunging into liquid nitrogen and remain vitreous whenthawed in water bath. As penetrating cryoprotector we used glycerol (MW=92.09,Farmachim) and as un-penetrating cryoprotectors we used sucrose (MW=342.3,Sigma S7903) and Ficoll 70 (MW= 60,000-80,000, Sigma F4375). For glycerolthere were tested concentrations from 1M to 6.5M, with concentrations step of 0.5M.For the non penetrating cryoprotectors there were tested concentrations of 5%,10%, 15% and 20%. There were a total number of 116 solutions tested. The solutionvitrification ability on freezing was tested by plunging directly into liquid nitrogen at-196°C. There were tested three thawing temperatures 20°C, 25°C and 37°C. Theconcentration at which glycerol solution passed into vitreous state was 5M, but atthawing none of them remained vitreous at thawing. When pairs of cryoprotectorswere tested 44 solutions vitrified at freezing (23 for glycerol-sucrose, 21 forglycerol-Ficoll 70) and 11 of them remained vitreous at thawing. The glycerol-Ficoll70 pair give the best results on thawing (7 solution remained vitreous on warming)at 37°C.

Abstract: The oocytes viability must be taken as an important selection parameter for successful in vitrocultivation. The ovaries were collected from the slaughterhouse and maintained at 4°C for 7days. Fallowing cumulus -oocytes complexes recovery the viability was tested by two stainingmethods. For the first experiment we used 27 cumulus - oocytes complexes, stained withNeutral red and for the second experiment we used 11 cumulus - oocytes complexes stainedwith Trypan blue. Fallowing staining with Neutral red 23 cumulus - oocytes complexes wereassessed as viable (were stained in red – enzymatic activity within the cells) and for the Trypanblue staining 11 cumulus - oocytes complexes were assessed as viable (remained unstained –integers cellular membranes).
EFFECT OF CZB CULTURE MEDIA ON IN VITRO DEVELOPMENT OF CLONED MOUSE EMBRYOS

Abstract: The effect of simple and sequential embryo culture media on the preimplantationdevelopment of mouse nuclear transfer (NT) embryos reconstructed with cumuluscell nuclei using a mechanical NT technique was studied. Blastocyst formation ratewas evaluated using CZB medium. Nonmanipulated and sham-manipulatedparthenogenetic embryos served as controls for, respectively, the medium and thehandling technique. Rates of blastocyst formation for medium and handling controlembryos were similar in CZB (50% and 53%). Development of NT embryos wassignificantly impaired from the two-cell stage onwards, reaching the blastocyst stage ata rate of 4% in CZB. These data demonstrate not only that NT embryos are moresensitive to in vitro culture conditions than parthenogenetic control embryos but alsothat selection of culture media can influence the preimplantation development of NTembryos.
