The recurrent true umbilical cord knots: a case report

Abstract: Background: True umbilical cord knot is one of the abnormalities of the umbilical cord. Active fetal movements create cord knotting. True umbilical cord knots are rare but may be associated with fetal distress and stillbirth. True umbilical cord knots are capable of impeding blood flow to the fetus.Case presentation: A 26-year old primigravid woman was first treated for genital herpes simplex virus (HSV type 2) at 36 weeks of gestational age. She received oral acyclovir (400 mg three times daily for 10 days). At the gestational age of 38 weeks and 5 days, fetal activity decreased and NST was nonreactive. She was delivered by cesarean section and a true umbilical cord knot was found. Four years later, in her second pregnancy, another true knot was seen.Conclusion: Excessively long umbilical cords are more likely to be associated with true knots. Genetics has an important role in determining cord length and occurrence of true knots.

Abstract: In a decade when all activities are globalized, including insurance, the recent focus of the supervisory authorities became the leveling of the legal framework concerning the solvency requirements of the companies acting on the market (as a consequence of the 2008 crisis, much more acute in USA than in Europe, where Basel Agreement decreased the fall of the banking sector). The present paper analyses the way in which the main solvency regimes applied at international level influence the equity of the insurance companies, especially the increase in the solvency capital required by the supervisors, taking into consideration the risk profile of the company. Moreover, the paper provides a blueprint of the methods to ensure the financial stability of the national industry, in order to respond adequately to systemic and systematic risks.
Dual Band-Notched Semi-Elliptical Monopole Antenna with Two Branch Feed Line

Abstract: In this paper, we present a modified semi-elliptical monopole antenna with a two-branch feed line and dual band-notched filter structure for UWB applications. By adjusting the parameters of the proposed antenna an UWB impedance bandwidth with a very good impedance matching can be achieved. The designed antenna has a small size of 20 mm × 20 mm and operates over the frequency band between 2.7 to 11 GHz, rejecting the undesired frequency bands from 3.3 to 3.8 GHz and 5.1 to 5.85 GHz.
Next-to-Leading Order Description of Nucleon Structure Function In Valon Model

Abstract: We have improved and examined the applicability of the valon model where the structure of any hadron is determined by the structure of its constituent quarks. Nucleon structure functions are calculated within this model in the Next-to-Leading order. The results compare well with the experimental data. The model handles the bound state problem and the calculations show a flat or almost flat behavior for $F_{2}$ which sets in at some region of $x\leq 10^{-5}$at fixed $Q^{2}$. The emergence of this behavior is a consequence of the model and was not put in a priori as a theoretical guess. It seems that such a flatness can be inferred from HERA data, although, not completely confirmed yet. A set of parton distributions are given and their evolutions are tested. Some qualitative implications of the model for the spin structure of the proton is discussed.
From Constituent Quark to Hadron Structure in the Next-to-Leading Order: Nucleon and Pion

Abstract: We calculate the partonic structure of constituent quark in the Next-to-Leading Order for the first time. The structure of any hadron can be obtained thereafter using a convolution method. Such a procedure is used to generate the structure function of proton and pion in NLO. It is shown that while the constituent quark structure is generated purely perturbatively and accounts to most part of the hadronic structure, there is a few percent contributions coming from the nonperturbative sector in the hadronic structure. This contribution plays the key role in explaining the SU(2) symmetry breaking of the nucleon sea and the observed violation of Gottfried sum rule. These effects are calculated. Excellent agreement with data in a wide range of $x=[10^{-6}, 1]$ and $Q^{2}=[0.5, 5000]$ $GeV^{2}$ is reached for proton structure function. We have also calculated Pion structure and compared it with the existing data. Again nice agreement is achieved.
Constituent Quarkstructur and $F^{p}_{2}$ Data

Abstract: We have calculated the partonic structure of a constituent quark in the leading order in QCD for the first time and examined its ipmlications on the proton structure function, $F^{p}_{2}, data from HERA. It turned out that although qualitatively it agrees with the data but for a finer refinement we need to consider an {\it{inherent}} component due to gluons which act as the binding agent between constituents quarks in the proton. Good agreement with nucleon structure function, $F_{2}(x,Q^{2})$, for a wide range of $x=[10^{-6} ,1]$ and $Q^{2}=[0.5, 5000]$ $GeV^{2}$ is reached. {\bf{PACS Numbers 13.60 Hb, 12.39.-x, 13.88 +e, 12.20.Fv}}
Small Semi-Circle-Like Slot Antenna for Ultra-Wideband Applications

Abstract: In this paper, a small modified circle-like slot antenna with modified radiating patch, for UWB applications is proposed. The proposed antenna consists of a modified radiating patch with novel notch and a semi-circle-like with a slope which provides a wide usable fractional bandwidth of more than 135% (3.07-16.26 GHz). By optimizing the notched radiating patch, the total bandwidth of the antenna is greatly improved. The designed antenna has a small size of 27.5×27.5 mm.
Enhanced Bandwidth Double-FED Microstrip Slot Antenna with a Pair of L-Shaped Slots

Abstract: In this paper, a modified square slot antenna with modified radiating patch, for UWB applications is proposed. The proposed antenna consists of a square radiating patch with a double fed structure and a ground plane with a pair of L-shaped slots which provides a wide usable fractional bandwidth of more than 140% (3--18 GHz). By optimizing the L-shaped slots dimensions and rectangular slot width, the total bandwidth of the antenna is greatly improved. The designed antenna has a small size of 35×35 mm.
Multi-Resonance Square Monopole Antenna for Ultra-Wideband Applications

Abstract: In this paper, a modified square monopole antenna with multi-resonance performance, for UWB applications is proposed. The proposed antenna consists of a square radiating patch with a pair of T-shaped slots and a ground plane with a pair of rectangular sleeve and a T-shaped resonator which provides a wide usable fractional bandwidth of more than 125% (3.05-13.57 GHz). By optimizing dimension of rectangular sleeves, T-shaped slots and resonator, the total bandwidth of the antenna is greatly improved. The designed antenna has a small size of 14×22 mm. Good return loss and radiation pattern characteristics are obtained in the frequency band of interest. Simulated and experimental results are presented to demonstrate the performance of a suggested antenna.
An Analysis of Changeability Grounds in Iranian Public Organizations: A Case Study in the Cities of Lamerd and Mohr

Abstract: The present research aims to develop a model and assess changeability grounds in public organizations. The statistical population includes public organizations in the cities of Lamerd and Mohr. The research includes three fundamental stages, each of which tries to answer a key question. To devise a proper model, we initially study the theoretical literature of change management and the resistance against change to determine the dimensions of changeability grounds (the first stage). Then, changeability grounds are analyzed using findings obtained from depth interviews (from a localized attitude) with thirty four middle-ranking managers, and the proposed model is presented (the second stage). In analyzing public organizations based on this model (the third stage) we used questionnaires to gather information from the statistical sample of two hundred ten subjects. The results indicated that changeability among public organizations is in a moderate level that is due to lack of communications and participation in decision-making, disproportion between changes and the related knowledge, and absence of in-service training.
