Abstract: in spite of considering the technological-scientific surveillance as a determining activities in organizations a little is known and practiced. sometimes it is confused with monitoring, technical prospective, benchmarking, etc. nevertheless, the technological-scientific surveillance show a methodology and features that distinguish it from the other refered activities. the metodology to outline a surveillance system is exposed. the experimental french pattern afnor xp x 50-053-fre only one available for this service. a proposal for the establishment of a technological scientific surveillance system for alimentary industry research center (airc) is provided.

Abstract: A pesar de considerarse la vigilancia científico- tecnológica como una actividad determinante en las organizaciones, se conoce y se practica poco. A menudo, se confunde con el monitoreo, la prospectiva tecnológica, el benchmarking, etcétera. Sin embargo, la vigilancia científico- tecnológica presenta una metodología y unas especificidades que la diferencian de las demás. actividades referidas. Se expone, paso a paso, la metodología a seguir para dise ar un sistema de vigilancia como el mencionado. Para ello, se utilizó la norma experimental francesa AFNOR XP X 50-053-FRE, la única existente para la creación de esta clase de servicio. Se realiza una propuesta para el establecimiento de un sistema de vigilancia científica y tecnológica para el Instituto de Investigaciones de la Industria Alimentaria (IIIA). Abstract: technological advances in hardware as well as new computational paradigms give us the opportunity to apply digital techniques to pulse shape analysis (psa), requiring powerful resources. in this paper, we present a psa application based on artificial neural networks (anns). these adaptive systems offer several advantages for these tasks; nevertheless it is necessary to face the particular problems linked to them as: the selection of the learning rule and the ann architecture, the sizes of the training and validation data sets, overtraining, the effect of noise on the pattern identification ability, etc. we will present evidences of the effect on the performance of a back-propagation ann as a pattern identifier of both: the size of the noise that the bragg curve spectrometer signal present and of overtraining. in fact, these two effects are related.

Abstract: Los avances tecnológicos del hardware lo mismo que los nuevos paradigmas computacionales brindan la oportunidad de aplicar técnicas digitales al Análisis de Forma de Pulsos (PSA), lo cual requiere de recursos poderosos. En este trabajo, se presenta una aplicación de PSA basada en Redes Neuronales Artificiales (ANNs). Estos sistemas adaptivos ofrecen varias ventajas para estas tareas; sin embrago es necesario enfrentar los problemas particulares asociados a ellos como: la selección de la ley de aprendizaje y de la arquitectura de la ANN, los tama os de los conjuntos de datos de entrenamiento y de validación, el sobreentrenamiento, el efecto del ruido sobre la habilidad para identificar patrones, etc. Se presentarán evidencias del efecto sobre el rendimiento de una ANN de retropropagación como reconocedor de patrones del: tama o del ruido que la se al de un espectrómetro de curva de Braga presenta así como del sobreentrenamiento. PRESSURE AND PRESSURE DERIVATIVE TRANSIENT ANALYSIS WITHOUT TYPE-CURVE MATCHING FOR ELONGATED RESERVOIRS WITH CHANGES IN FACIES OR WIDTH

Abstract: due to geologic and tectonic events many reservoirs have an elongated geometry in which dual-linear and single-linear flow regimes may be developed. the single-linear flow may be altered by changes in facies (mobility) or reservoir width (composite reservoir). therefore, it is desirable to identify and characterize these types of systems which lead to competent decisions and adequate reservoir management. the identification and determination of parameters for such reservoirs are conducted by conventional techniques (straight-line method), type-curve matching of pressure versus time and the tiab's direct synthesis (tds) technique. this last one has been lately presented for homogeneous and constant width reservoirs. in this paper, an extension of the tds technique to incorporate variations in either mobility or reservoir width is presented. several simulation experiments were run to understand the behavior of the reservoir under these new conditions. if the change of the mentioned parameters takes place after the dual- linear flow has ended a new half-slope line is observed on the pressure derivative curve. this new line is shifted upwards the original dual-linear line without regarding the variation of one of the studied parameter. when, the anomaly occurs during dual- linear flow the new half-slope line of the pressure derivative curve may be shifted upwards or downwards depending upon the magnitude of either mobility or reservoir width. this new line may not be referred as linear flow regime because it is really not. we have named it as pseudo-linear flow regime, instead. therefore, a modification of the intercept of the ?-slope line from π0,5 for dual-linear flow regime to a greater or smaller value, which may be different from π (single-linear flow case) has to be considered in order to provide new equations for the estimation of new values of either permeability or reservoir width. the proposed methodology was successfully verified by interpreting both syntheti

Abstract: some well pressure tests conducted in channelized systems which result from either fluvial deposition or faulting, cannot be completely interpreted by conventional techniques, since variation in facies or reservoir width are not normally recognized yet in the oil literature. in this case, the corresponding equations traditionally used for single-linear flow will provide inaccurate results. therefore, they must be corrected. in this study, new equations to be used in conventional analysis for the linear flow (pseudo linear) regime formed during the acting of the anomaly - reservoir width or permeability - are introduced to the oil literature. the equations do not consider the simultaneous variation of both parameters. the proposed equations were validated by applying them to synthetic and field examples.

Abstract: The principal goal of this paper is to analize the environmental performance related with the industrial upgrading in the in-bond industry. The key questions are: a) what are the levels of environmental performance in maquiladoras? and b) Is the environmental performance according with the industrial upgrading? Our hypothesis suggests that the capacity and necessity of applying environmental activities is associated with the industrial upgrading. The construction of technoproductive levels and the environmental performance index identified the sociotechnical aspects compared with our key variables.

Abstract: Within the context of the debate about the impacts of maquiladora plants established in Mexico, this essay shows empirical evidence about its labour performance and specifical-ly on the subject of occupational safety and health. The plot upholds that maquiladoraplants have a better performance than the non maquiladora companies since they presenthigher fulfilling levels of norms and regulations so as lower accidents rates. Amongmaquiladora companies, the ones that belong to transnational corporations reveal a betterperformance.
