Model of 4PL’s Outsourcing Logistics Coordination Based on Service Quality  [PDF]

The paper establishes a supply chain coordinating model based on single 4PL-multy 3PL. Considering goods loss and damage, it comes to the conclusion that the fixed revenue-sharing contract couldn't be coordination when the yields was relative to the efforts of 3PL and 4PL. In order to get the coordination, we first model a fixed revenue-sharing contract based on side payment using L-F model and the theory of principal-agent on the premise of symmetric information. Then, we analyze the application of this model when the information is asymmetric. The result shows that the symmetric model can get the coordinating while the optimal efforts of asymmetric information model depend on the 3PL’s performance. At last, we check the analysis using a traditional sample.

Abstract: Non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs), especially microRNAs, are reported to be involved in a variety of biological processes, including several processes related to drug addiction. It has been suggested that the biological functions of opioids, one typical type of addictive drugs, are regulated by ncRNAs. In the current review, we examine a variety of mechanisms through which ncRNAs could regulate μ-opioid receptor (OPRM1) activities and thereby contribute to the development of opioid addiction. Using miR-23b as an example, we present the possible ways in which ncRNA-mediated regulation of OPRM1 expression could impact opioid addiction. Using miR-190 as an example, we demonstrate the critical roles played by ncRNAs in the signal cascade from receptor to systemic responses, including the possible modulation of adult neurogenesis and in vivo contextual memory. After discussing the possible targets of ncRNAs involved in the development of opioid addiction, we summarize the mechanisms underlying the interaction between ncRNAs and opioid addiction and present suggestions for further study.

Study on the Distribution of Networked Devices’ Clock Skew

Abstract: Clock skews of devices on the Internet are viewed as one way delay noise, but their distribution is unknown. We explore the distribution of clock skews to see the conflict probability. In this paper, we introduce an accurate clock skew estimation algorithm to filter inaccurate clock skew estimation by comparing the results between linear programming method and least square fitting. Delay jitter and other noises affect the estimation result. When the difference of two methods is large, the estimation result is unstable and inaccurate, so the estimation result should be dropped. Based on this algorithm, we use traces of real Internet measurements to collect 1825 accurate clock skews of different devices to establish a fingerprint database. Furthermore, we show the distribution of clock skews and comparing conflict probability with different number of devices. The distribution shows that clock skews are diverse, and most of clock skews are in the region of [-100, 100] PPM. The results indicate that when the number of devices is small (<5), clock skews won’t be conflict with each other, so clock skews are good tools to detect faked devices or NAT; When the number of devices increases, the conflict probability increases linearly, so clock skews of different devices can not distinguish each devices effectively.
Floquet Topological States in Shaking Optical Lattices

Abstract: In this letter we propose realistic schemes to realize topologically nontrivial Floquet states by shaking optical lattices, using both one-dimension lattice and two-dimensional honeycomb lattice as examples. The topological phase in the two-dimensional model exhibits quantum anomalous Hall effect. The transition between topological trivial and nontrivial states can be easily controlled by shaking frequency and amplitude. Our schemes have two major advantages. First, both the static Hamiltonian and the shaking scheme are sufficiently simple to implement. Secondly, it requires relatively small shaking amplitude and therefore heating can be minimized. These two advantages make our scheme much more practical.
Quasi-particle Lifetime in a Mixture of Bose and Fermi Superfluids

Abstract: In this letter, to reveal the effect of quasi-particle interactions in a Bose-Fermi superfluid mixture, we consider the lifetime of quasi-particle of Bose superfluid due to its interaction with quasi-particles in Fermi superfluid. We find that this damping rate, i.e. inverse of the lifetime, has quite different threshold behavior at the BCS and the BEC side of the Fermi superfluid. The damping rate is a constant nearby the threshold momentum in the BCS side, while it increases rapidly in the BEC side. This is because in the BCS side the decay processe is restricted by constant density-of-state of fermion quasi-particle nearby Fermi surface, while such a restriction does not exist in the BEC side where the damping process is dominated by bosonic quasi-particles of Fermi superfluid. Our results are related to collective mode experiment in recently realized Bose-Fermi superfluid mixture.
Reconstruction of Sub-Decadal Winter Half-Year Temperature during 1651-2010 for the North China Plain Using Records of Frost Date  [PDF]

We extracted 374 pieces of records of frost date from historical documents. Using these records, we reconstructed winter half-year (October to next April) temperature series, with a resolution of 5-year, for the North China Plain during 1651-2010. The results show that the temperature changes in the North China Plain were divided into four phases. With the reference period of 1951-1980, two cold phases, 1651-1700 and 1781-1900, have cold anomaly of 0.83°C and 0.60°C respectively. However, between the two cold phases, 1701-1780 was a relative warm phase with the cold anomaly of 0.36°C referring to the mean of 1951-1980. After the 1900, the climate came into a warm phase. The mean temperature of 1901-2010 was 0.11°C higher than the mean of 1951-1980. During 1651-2010, the 1996-2000 is the warmest 5-year with the warm anomaly of 1.25°C than that of the reference period of 1951-1980.

Abstract: The selection of power transformer is very important to power sector. Most methods are utilized according to the initial cost and don’t consider the synthetical evaluation of economy and technology. Based on previous research, this paper addresses a new practical probabilistic life cycle cost model. Then, in order to demonstrate the practicability of probabilistic life cycle cost for the
power transformer, illustrative investment alternatives of actual power transformers are discussed. From the result of the numerical investigation, it may be positively stated that the optimum investment alternative for the power transformer based on the probabilistic life cycle cost model proposed in this study will lead to a more rational, economical and effective procedure compared with the conventional method only considering the initial cost.
Clinical and Imaging Analysis of a Cerebellar Watershed Infarction  [PDF]

Abstract: Objective: To investigate the characteristics of vascular lesions in patients with a cerebellar watershed infarction. Methods: Clinical data from 178 cases of cerebellar infarction were collected with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan results, including diffusion weighted imaging (DWI), a magnetic resonance angiography (MRA), and computed tomography angiography (CTA). The cases were divided into cerebellar watershed and non-watershed infarctions based on lesion location, which was revealed by DWI. Forty-two cases met the criteria for a cerebellar watershed infarction. Based on the MRA/CTA results, the vertebrobasilar artery stenoses were divided into four categories (i.e., intracranial, extracranial, combined, and no detectable stenosis) to compare the vascular lesion characteristics from patients with a cerebellar watershed infarction and patients with a non-watershed infarction. Results: Patients with cerebellar watershed infarcts presented mild symptoms at onset and had a favorable prognosis. However, 90.5% of these patients had a vascular stenosis, which was higher than for patients with a cerebellar non-watershed infarction (74.3%). The four types of vascular lesions, intracranial, extracranial, combined, and no detectable stenosis, were 14.3%, 52.4%, 23.8%, and 9.5% in patients with a cerebellar watershed infarction and 33.8%, 16.2%, 24.3%, and 25.7% in patients with a non-watershed cerebellar infarction, respectively. Conclusion: Although patients with cerebellar watershed infarcts often had comparatively benign clinical manifestations and prognoses, such patients also had a high stenosis prevalence in major blood vessels, especially the extracranial segment in the vertebral artery, which required early intervention and treatment.
