Abstract: Durante la segunda mitad del s. XX se desarrollaron notables experiencias de prefabricación en grandes paneles de hormigón, aplicadas en la construcción masiva de viviendas. La revisión de estas experiencias puede dar claves para renovar el potencial de estos sistemas. During the second half of the 20th century, the use of precast concrete panels to build large housing projects became a significant prefabrication practice. Revisiting these systems can provide keys to understand the current potential of prefabrication.

A Generalization of Cramer’s Rule  [PDF]
Hugo Leiva
Advances in Linear Algebra & Matrix Theory (ALAMT) , 2015, DOI: 10.4236/alamt.2015.54016

In this paper, we find two formulas for the solutions of the following linear equation \"\"\"\", where \"\" is a \"\" real matrix. This system has been well studied since the 1970s. It is known and simple proven that there is a solution for all \"\" if, and only if, the rows of A are linearly independent, and the minimum norm solution is given by the Moore-Penrose inverse formula, which is often denoted by \"\" ; in this case, this solution is given by \"\". Using this formula, Cramer’s Rule and Burgstahler’s Theorem (Theorem 2), we prove the following representation for this solution

\"\", where \"\" are the row vectors of the matrix A. To the best of our knowledge and looking in to many Linear Algebra books, there is not formula for this solution depending on determinants. Of course, this formula coincides with the one given by Cramer’s Rule when \"\".

A Characterization of Semilinear Surjective Operators and Applications to Control Problems  [PDF]
Edgar Iturriaga, Hugo Leiva
Applied Mathematics (AM) , 2010, DOI: 10.4236/am.2010.14033
Abstract: In this paper we characterize a broad class of semilinear surjective operators given by the following formula where Z are Hilbert spaces, and is a suitable nonlinear function. First, we give a necessary and sufficient condition for the linear operator to be surjective. Second, we prove the following statement: If and is a Lipschitz function with a Lipschitz constant small enough, then and for all the equation admits the following solution .We use these results to prove the exact controllability of the following semilinear evolution equation , , where , are Hilbert spaces, is the infinitesimal generator of strongly continuous semigroup in the control function belong to and is a suitable function. As a particular case we consider the semilinear damped wave equation, the model of vibrating plate equation, the integrodifferential wave equation with Delay, etc.
Archaelogy, Paleoindian Research and Lithic Technology in the Middle Negro River, Central Uruguay  [PDF]
Hugo G. Nami
Archaeological Discovery (AD) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/ad.2013.11001
Abstract: The Negro river is the most important inner fluvial course in Uruguay. Its basin, mainly the middle portion, has produced an unusual archaeological record characterized by a significant evidence of Paleoindian remains. Systematic archaeological research allowed conducting a number of field and laboratory activities. The identification of Paleoindian vestiges and buried sites was a significant focus of this investigation. The advances on surveys and excavations in Los Molles and Minas de Callorda sites are reported. Different dating methods yielded the first dates in the area and diverse technological analyses on lithic artifacts allow recognizing the existence of unreported techniques and reduction strategies. Functional studies with special attention to Paleo-South American vestiges permitted to identify diverse micro-wear clues. Finally, the role of river basins in the peopling of the eastern part of the southern cone and the hypothesis about the origin of the fishtail pattern is discussed.
New Records and Observations on Paleo-American Artifacts from Cerro Largo, Northeastern Uruguay and a Peculiar Case of Reclaimed Fishtail Points  [PDF]
Hugo G. Nami
Archaeological Discovery (AD) , 2015, DOI: 10.4236/ad.2015.33011
Abstract: A research program directed to deepening the knowledge and understanding of Paleo-American “fishtail” points is being carried out. In pursuit this goal, lithic remains from Cerro Largo department, northeastern Uruguay is examined. One of the samples comes from Paso Centurión, a surface site that has yielded the greatest number of fishtail points in Uruguay. There, and at the Paso Taborda site, several exemplars were reworked as scraping tools, constituting a peculiar case of stone tool recycling and reclaiming by post-Pleistocene hunter-gatherers. The examined collection shed new light on regional lithic assemblages, stone tool behavior and the early colonization of southeastern South America. Additionally, the study of other Uruguayan fishtails show the use of edge-to-edge and overshot flaking, technical features shared with Paleoindian fishtailed points from North and Central America. Similarities with other Paleoindian points from both hemispheres of the New World in relation to the SouthAmerican fishtail origins are discussed.
The Affective Moral Judgment  [PDF]
Victor Hugo Robles Francia
Open Journal of Philosophy (OJPP) , 2018, DOI: 10.4236/ojpp.2018.83017
Abstract: The affective though and the intuition in moral judgment has been discovered lately (Haidt, 2001). This article analyzes the Moral Judgment theory (Kohlberg, 1964) and the basic logical operations (Piaget, 1950). The rational stages with a few intervention of emotion have been historically assumed by moral judgment theory, which judges the affective as a mistaken notion and as a simple cognitive extension (Greene & Haidt, 2002). This paper demonstrates that the Piagetian basic operations, seriation and categorization are applicable to an affective system. In addition, the intuition is a moral determinant and finally, that neuronal activity confirms an intuitional cognition for the resolution of social problems. It is expected that the present deliberation guides and stimuli researches on the intuition and emotion in moral judgment.

Abstract: recombinant human erythropoietin (rhuepo) has become the most widely used cytokine in the world. following the success of its use in patients with end-stage renal disease, the usefulness of rhuepo to ameliorate other anemias was assessed, including pediatric patients and newborn infants. the treatment or prevention of anemia of prematurity with rhuepo resulted in a significant reduction in the number of transfusions and donor exposure. a clear definition of which premature babies must receive therapy needs yet to be established. other indications in neonatal period include hyporegenerative and hemolytic anemias. with the exception of chronic renal failure, in older children the efficacy of rhuepo has not been evaluated as in adults. while an impressive amount of studies were carried out during the last years in adult patients with cancer-related or hiv-infection-related anemias, allowing to establish clear conclusions on its efficacy, only a few trials with small number of patients have been reported in children. up to date, results in pediatric patients suggest that rhuepo therapy is as useful as in adult patients, but prospective, randomized trials including large number of patients are essential to achieve definitive conclusions. results of studies designed to evaluate the efficacy of rhuepo for sustaining an adequate dose of ribavirin in patients receiving treatment for hepatitis c are encouraging. the potential for use of the non-hematopoietic effects of rhuepo in newborn infants is a novel and exciting issue. the role of rhuepo as a tissue protective factor for central nervous system and intestinal mucosa is under exhaustive investigation.
