A Data Ingest Tool for VIVO Ontology

Abstract: To provide an effective method to import the heterogeneous data into the information systems based on Ontologies, this paper introduces a data ingest tool developed in VIVO which is a networking of scientists and is also a semantic Web application, including the principles and the working process in the data ingestion from relational data model to RDF data model and the data mapping with VIVO Ontology. The characteristics and some questions in this tool are also discussed.
Optimal dividend control for a generalized risk model with investment incomes and debit interest

Abstract: This paper investigates dividend optimization of an insurance corporation under a more realistic model which takes into consideration refinancing or capital injections. The model follows the compound Poisson framework with credit interest for positive reserve, and debit interest for negative reserve. Ruin occurs when the reserve drops below the critical value. The company controls the dividend pay-out dynamically with the objective to maximize the expected total discounted dividends until ruin. We show that that the optimal strategy is a band strategy and it is optimal to pay no dividends when the reserve is negative.
Genetic Variability and Population Structure of the Mushroom Pleurotus eryngii var. tuoliensis

Abstract: The genetic diversity of 123 wild strains of Pleurotus eryngii var. tuoliensis, which were collected from nine geographical locations in Yumin, Tuoli, and Qinghe counties in the Xinjiang Autonomous Region of China, was analysed using two molecular marker systems (inter-simple sequence repeat and start codon targeted). At the variety level, the percentage of polymorphic loci and Nei’s gene diversity index for P. eryngii var. tuoliensis was 96.32% and 0.238, respectively. At the population level, Nei’s gene diversity index ranged from 0.149 to 0.218 with an average of 0.186, and Shannon's information index ranged from 0.213 to 0.339 with an average of 0.284. These results revealed the abundant genetic variability in the wild resources of P. eryngii var. tuoliensis. Nei’s gene diversity analysis indicated that the genetic variance was mainly found within individual geographical populations, and the analysis of molecular variance revealed low but significant genetic differentiation among local and regional populations. The limited gene flow (Nm = 1.794) was inferred as a major reason for the extent of genetic differentiation of P. eryngii var. tuoliensis. The results of Mantel tests showed that the genetic distance among geographical populations of P. eryngii var. tuoliensis was positively correlated with the geographical distance and the longitudinal distances (rGo = 0.789 and rLn = 0.873, respectively), which indicates that geographical isolation is an important factor for the observed genetic differentiation. Nine geographical populations of P. eryngii var. tuoliensis were divided into three groups according to their geographical origins, which revealed that the genetic diversity was closely related to the geographical distribution of this wild fungus.

Abstract: 本文采用0.005%碳酸钙盐水、0.85%生理盐水、1%葡萄糖液以及沙氏液体培养基四种不同的保存介质,保藏蛙粪霉菌、黑曲霉菌、产黄青霉菌、红色毛癣菌、犬小孢子菌(异名羊毛状小孢子菌)、石膏样小孢子菌和许兰氏毛癣菌。每种菌的同一保存介质分别置4℃冰箱、室温及22℃温箱贮藏。结果表明,蛙粪霉菌只适于22℃温箱贮藏,经统计学处理,22℃与室温和4℃贮藏对存活时间的影响有高度显著性差异(P<0.01)。除许兰氏毛癣菌外。其它各真菌在0.005%的碳酸钙盐水中的存活时间最长,达3~4年之久,其次为生理盐水。0.00

Abstract: In the title compound, [Cu(CH3CO2)(C12H8N2)2](CF3CO2)·4H2O, the CuII atom shows a distorted octahedral coordination with four N atoms [Cu—N = 2.015 (3)–2.244 (3) ] from the two phenanthroline ligands and two O atoms from the acetate [Cu—O = 1.953 (3) and 2.764 (3) ]. Strong intermolecular O—H...O hydrogen-bonding interactions consolidate the crystal packing. The F atoms of the anion are disordered over two positions in a 0.5233 (3):0.4767 (3) ratio.
Optimal financing and dividend distribution in a general diffusion model with regime switching

Abstract: We study the optimal financing and dividend distribution problem with restricted dividend rates in a diffusion type surplus model where the drift and volatility coefficients are general functions of the level of surplus and the external environment regime. The environment regime is modeled by a Markov process. Both capital injections and dividend payments incur expenses. The objective is to maximize the expectation of the total discounted dividends minus the total cost of capital injections. We prove that it is optimal to inject capitals only when the surplus tends to fall below zero and to pay out dividends at the maximal rate when the surplus is at or above the threshold dependent on the environment regime.
Electric-Field-Assisted Growth of Ga-Doped ZnO Nanorods Arrays for Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells  [PDF]

Abstract:

A photoanode with Ga-doped ZnO nanorods has been prepared on F-doped SnO2 (FTO) coated glass substrate and its application in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) has been investigated. Ga-doped ZnO nanorods have been synthesized by an electric-field-assisted wet chemical approach at 80?C. Under a direct current electric field, the nanorods predominantly grow on cathodes. The results of the X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and photoluminescence verify that Ga dopant is successfully incorporated into the ZnO wurtzite lattice structure. Finally, employing Ga-doped ZnO nanorods with the length of ~5 μm as the photoanode of DSSCs, an overall energy conversion efficiency of 2.56% is achieved. The dramatically improved performance of Ga-doped ZnO based DSSCs compared with that of pure ZnO is due to the higher electron conductivity.

Abstract: A prevalent trend in recent biological developments is the integration between ecology and evolutionary biology. To further investigate the integration, exploratory studies are needed for linking phenome to genome with suitable biological systems. Biochemistry of floral pigmentation and genetics of the anthocyanin pathway, including regulatory and structural genes in several model angiosperms, have made floral color a preferred trait for ecological and evolutionary research, which may lead to further understanding of how floral color varies among wild species. Our review focuses on the genetic, biochemical and ecological aspects of the anthocyanin pathway in Ipomoea (Convolvulaceae), to provide some background information on the natural variation of floral color from multi-disciplinary angles. We also discussed unsolved issues and possible future developments.

Abstract: 建立了食品中6种人工合成甜味剂(甜蜜素、糖精钠、安赛蜜、阿斯巴甜、阿力甜、纽甜)的高效液相色谱-串联质谱检测方法。样品经甲醇-水溶液(1:1, v/v)提取,以C18柱为分离柱,0.1%(v/v)甲酸-5 mmol/L甲酸铵溶液/乙腈为流动相,经高效液相色谱分离,采用电喷雾串联四极杆质谱进行检测。结果表明,6种人工合成甜味剂在20~500 μg/L范围内定量离子对的响应峰面积和样品质量浓度之间有良好的线性关系(相关系数>0.998)。在3个添加水平下,样品平均回收率为81.3%~106.0%,相对标准偏差小于11%。该方法简单、灵敏、准确,可用于食品中6种人工合成甜味剂的同时检测。
