Effect of fluorination treatment on electrochemical properties of M1Ni3.5Co0.6Mn0.4Al0.5 hydrogen storage alloy

Abstract: the influence of surface treatment by solutions of nh4f, lif and lif containing kbh4 on the structure and electrochemical properties of the m1ni3.5co0.6mn0.4al0.5 hydrogen storage alloy (in which m1 denotes mischmetal) is investigated. the fluorination treatment improves the electrochemical performances of the m1ni3.5co0.6mn0.4al0.5 alloy. the maximum discharge capacity (cmax) increases from 314.8 to 325.7 (nh4f), 326.5 (lif) and 316.4 mah g-1 (lif+kbh4). after 60 cycles, the capacity retention rate increases from 83.5 to 84.8% (nh4f), 89.5% (lif) and 93.9% (lif+kbh4). the results of the linear polarization and anodic polarization reveal that the exchange current density (i0) and the limiting current density (il) increase after fluorination treatment, indicating an improvement of the kinetics of the hydrogen absorption/desorption.
Sustained Expression of TDP-43 and FUS in Motor Neurons in Rodent's Lifetime

Abstract: TAR DNA-binding protein (TDP-43) and fused in sarcoma (FUS) are two highly conserved ribonucleoproteins. Pathogenic mutations of the TDP-43 or the FUS gene are all linked to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) that is characterized by progressive degeneration of motor neurons. To better understand the correlation of ALS disease genes with the selectivity of chronic motor neuron degeneration, we examined the longitudinal expression of the TDP-43 and the FUS genes in C57BL6 mice and in Sprague-Dawley rats. TDP-43 and FUS were robustly and ubiquitously expressed in the postnatal mice and rats, but were markedly decreased in the adult rodents. In adulthood, TDP-43 and FUS proteins were even undetectable in peripheral organs including skeletal muscles, liver, and kidney, but were constantly expressed at substantial levels in the central nervous system. Motor neurons expressed the TDP-43 and the FUS genes at robust levels throughout rodent's lifetime. Moreover, TDP-43 and FUS were accumulated in the cytoplasm of motor neurons in aged animals. Our findings suggest that TDP-43 and FUS play an important role in development and that constant and robust expression of the genes in motor neurons may render the neurons vulnerable to pathogenic mutation of the TDP-43 or the FUS gene. To faithfully model the pathology of TDP-43- or FUS gene mutations in rodents, we must replicate the expression patterns of the TDP-43 and the FUS gene in animals.
The effect of hidden color channels on Nucleon-Nucleon interaction

Abstract: This letter reports the nucleon-nucleon($NN$) interaction obtained from multi-channel, including hidden color channels, coupling quark model calculation. The results show that the hidden color channels coupling provides the intermediate range attraction which is usually assumed to be due to multi-$\pi$ or $\sigma$ meson exchange and that the short and intermediate range $NN$ interaction can be described solely by the fundamental quark-gluon degree of freedom of QCD.
Possible $H$-like dibaryon states with heavy quarks

Abstract: Possible $H$-like dibaryon states $\Lambda_{c}\Lambda_{c}$ and $\Lambda_{b}\Lambda_{b}$ are investigated within the framework of quark delocalization color screening model. The results show that the interaction between two $\Lambda_{c}$'s is repulsive, so it cannot be bound state by itself. However, the strong attraction in $\Sigma_{c}\Sigma_{c}$ and $\Sigma^{*}_{c}\Sigma^{*}_{c}$ channels and the strong channel coupling, due to the central interaction of one-gluon-exchange and one-pion-exchange, among $\Lambda_{c}\Lambda_{c}$, $\Sigma_{c}\Sigma_{c}$ and $\Sigma^{*}_{c}\Sigma^{*}_{c}$ push the energy of system below the threshold of $\Lambda_{c}\Lambda_{c}$ by $22$ MeV. The corresponding system $\Lambda_{b}\Lambda_{b}$ has the similar properties as that of $\Lambda_{c}\Lambda_{c}$ system, and a bound state is also possible in $\Lambda_{b}\Lambda_{b}$ system.
Study of $p\barΛ$ and $p\barΣ$ systems in constituent quark models

Abstract: The $p\bar{\Lambda}$ systems with J=0 and J=1 are dynamically investigated within the framework of two constituent quark models: the chiral quark model and the quark delocalization color screening model. The model parameters are taken from our previous work, which gave a good description of the proton-antiproton S-wave elastic scattering cross section experimental data. The $p\bar{\Lambda}$ elastic scattering processes with coupling to $p\bar{\Sigma}$ state are studied. The results show that, there is no s-wave bound state as indicated by an enhancement near the threshold of $p\bar{\Lambda}$ in $J/\psi$ decay. However, a $IJ = {1/2}0$ $p\bar{\Sigma}$ resonance state is given in the quark delocalization color screening model.
Theoretical study of a $d^{*}$ resonance in $^{3}G_{3}$ partial wave of nucleon-nucleon scattering

Abstract: Inspired by the recent results of the WASA-at-COSY Collaboration, in which they found a resonance pole in the coupled $^{3}D_{3}$ - $^{3}G_{3}$ partial waves as expected from the $d^{*}$ resonance hypothesis, we calculated the resonance structure in the coupled $^{3}D_{3}$ - $^{3}G_{3}$ partial wave phase shifts of nucleon-nucleon scattering in the framework of two constituent quark models: the quark delocalization color screening model and the chiral quark model. Our results show that there is a resonance $^{7}S_{3}^{\Delta\Delta}$ in the coupled $^{3}D_{3}^{NN}$ and $^{3}G_{3}^{NN}$ partial waves in both of these two models, which is in accordance with the expectation from the $d^{*}$ resonance structure. The resonance shape in the $^{3}D_{3}^{NN}$ partial wave is remarkable, whereas in the $^{3}G_{3}^{NN}$ phase shifts there is a small rise around the resonance energy. This result is in agreement with the recent experimental observations of WASA-at-COSY Collaboration.
Further study of the $NΩ$ dibaryon within constituent quark models

Abstract: Inspired by the discovery of the dibaryon $d^{*}$ and the experimental search of $N\Omega$ dibaryon with the STAR data, we study the strange dibaryon $N\Omega$ further in the framework of quark delocalization color screening model and chiral quark model. We have shown $N\Omega$ is a narrow resonance in $\Lambda\Xi$ D-wave scattering before. However, the $\Lambda$-$\Xi$ scattering data analysis is quite complicated. Here we calculate the low-energy $N\Omega$ scattering phase shifts, scattering length, effective range and binding energy to provide another approach of STAR data analysis. Our results show there exists an $N\Omega$ "bound" state, which can be observed by the $N$-$\Omega$ correlation analysis with RHIC and LHC data, or by the new developed automatic scanning system at J-PARC. Besides, we also find that the hidden color channel-coupling is important for the $N\Omega$ system to develop intermediate-range attraction.

Abstract: Easy oxidation of carbon limits applications of carbon-carbon composites in an oxygen-containing environment. In this study, a two-layer SiC coating was prepared on carbon-carbon composites by a Spark plasma sintering technology at 1350°C for 1 min. The coating was mainly composed of β-SiC and Si and well bonded with the substrate. The double SiC coating could effectively protect the C/C composites from oxidation at 1600°C for 120 h, and the corresponding weight loss was only 2.62%.

Abstract:

Chinese Long River Delta has three Women Football Teams. The present situation of Chinese Long River Delta Women Football Team attending the 2005 spring training was investigated and studied through questionnaires,observations and visiting. The present management system,fund sources, basic conditions of the coaches and players in the Chinese Long River Delta Women Football Teams are clear. It was found that at present the management system of Shanghai and Jiangsu Women football teams are come up to the professional management system. But Zhejiang Women football hasn’t been very well popularized. An orderly system of succession hasn’t been formed. The unstable coach population requires to be trained and to raise their level. And their manage policy and measures is insufficient compare with Shanghai and Jiangsu women football team.
