Simulation of High Power Amplifier Calculation in VSAT System
Indri Neforawati,Hoga Saragih
Abstract: Arithmatical simulation of High Power Amplifier (HPA) on VSAT system is a program which used to calculate the capacity of HPA as a working test of maximum power on each remote station of the VSAT network system, afterward can be obtained the available capacity value and power capacity used, therefore able to reallocate residual power below its available power spare. VSAT system can be used for several telecommunication application such as video broadcast, data broadcast,audio broadcast, banking operation, ATM and others. Due to the easy operational, maintanance and its instalment, VSAT system is more prifitable compare to ordinary terestrial band, its capability for multiservice application become more flexible in using its network. The software used is Visual Basic 6.0 version and database Microsoft Access. These software take a role as visualization and planning for remote station development and also power capasity needed for each remote in the calculation of HPA.

International Journal of Electrical and Computer Engineering , 2011, DOI: 10.11591/ijece.v1i2.85
Abstract: The purposes of this research are to calculate the capacity of runway with runway capacity simulation software using Genetic Algorithm, and to analyze the efforts which have more profound effect. To enhance the runway capacity, some strategies are researched, such as reduction of separation to meet criteria set by FAA’s rule, addition of the exit taxiway, addition of the runway according to master plan of Soekamo-Hatta Airport and changing the runway utilization strategies. Out of the four strategies, the most efficient solution is changing the runway utilization strategies and reduction in separation. However, the addition of runway has the highest capacity increase. Keywords: genetic algorithm, simulation, runway capacity.

Abstract: Conflicts and wars in several areas in Indonesia have caused a large number of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs). IDPs adolescents are a vulnerable group for developing psychological problems. There was a concern about the form of time perspective that these adolescents have and its relationship with the occurrence of psychological problems in the future. However, there is a lack of studies of internally displaced persons that assess the relationship betweenpsychological distress and time perspective in low income countries. The study aim was to assess psychological status and time perspective of adolescents who were affected by violent conflict in Indonesia. Cross sectional community based study. Questionnaires were used to obtain data from 129 adolescents whose lives were affected by violentconflict, both displaced and non-displaced. Subjects were selected by simple random sampling. Displaced adolescents were present-past oriented, while non-displaced adolescents were future oriented. Displaced adolescents had more difficulties compared to non-displaced adolescents, especially in emotional symptoms. Factors like migration status, gender and religion have partial significance toward time dominance and psychological problems. There is a significantassociation between time perspective and psychological problems in which present-past oriented adolescents had greater difficulties than future oriented adolescents. The most common problem was emotional symptoms, especially anxiety problems.
Reduced-order model based on H_infty-balancing for infinite-dimensional systems

Applied Mathematical Sciences , 2013,
Abstract: This paper presents a model reduction for unstable infinitedimensional system $(A,B,C)$ using $mathcal{H}_infty$-balancing.To construct $mathcal{H}_infty$-balanced realization, we find a Lyapunov-balanced realization of a normalized left-coprime factorization (NLCF) of the scaled system $(A,eta B,C)$.Next, we apply the new coordinate transformation to obtain yet another realization of NLCF system. This result is then translated to have the new scaled system $(A^t,eta B^t, C^t)$ which similar with $(A,eta B,C)$. Furthermore, it can be verified that the solutions of a control and filter $mathcal{H}_infty$-Riccati operator equations of the system $(A^t, B^t, C^t)$ are equal and diagonal. This implies that the system $(A^t, B^t, C^t)$ is $mathcal{H}_infty$-balanced realization of the system $(A,B,C)$. Based on the small $mathcal{H}_infty$-characteristic values, the state variables of the system $(A^t, B^t, C^t)$ is truncated, to yield a reduced-order model of the system $(A,B,C)$.To demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method, numerical simulations are applied to Euler-Bernoulli beam equation.
Controller Reduction of Parameter Dependent Systems
Widowati,Bambang Riyanto,Roberd Saragih
ITB Journal of Engineering Science , 2004,
Abstract: This paper proposes a controller reduction of linear parameter dependent systems. A measure of the degradation is derived for the parameter dependent closed-loop performance caused by applying the reduced-order parameter dependent controller. This measure can be obtained by extending the degradation of the closed-loop performance of the balanced truncation of the corresponding time invariant systems. To verify the performance of the reduced-order controller, an application of the proposed controller reduction method to vertical acceleration of a missile is presented.

Abstract: an understanding of birth care as provided in other societies can promote self-criticism regarding our own professional practices. this article is a report on a traineeship held at a japanese birth center, an institution offering pre-natal care, health education groups, yoga, water-exercise, birth and postpartum care, newborn care, home visits, and postpartum and newborn nursing consultations. the care principles guiding birth care at that institution are in line with the recommendations of the world health organization. they provide support for recommending the adoption of the methods that the birth center in question employs, subject to adapting them to specific socio-cultural contexts.

Hoga, Luiza Akiko Komura;
Revista Brasileira de Enfermagem , 2004, DOI: 10.1590/S0034-71672004000500004
Abstract: the first birth center of the family health program has specific symbols. the purpose was the identification of symbols that permeate the ideas, beliefs, values, practices, and principles that guide the assistance given at the birth center. ethnography was the research method; thematic oral history was the resource employed to interview obstetric nurses in the house. results: the house has the symbolic value of innovation in assisted deliveries. humanized care to pregnant women is the principle that guide practices. final considerations: the symbols of the house and the care practices developed constitute a reference to the other birth centers being proposed in brazil, and should be known by obstetrical nurses.

Revista da Escola de Enfermagem da USP , 2004, DOI: 10.1590/S0080-62342004000100002
Abstract: this article reflects upon the humanization of health care, the demand for which is growing. it involves several complex and interdependent dimensions. the professional's subjective perspective and the interpersonal relationship are discussed and shown to be important factors in the humanization of health care. the necessity of professional's self-awareness and the awareness of their defenses are emphasized since they are considered to be important for the creation of an real encounter between professionals and patients. these topics are essential for the humanization and promotion of health care.
Illness care at home or in health institutions: the decision process in a low income community
Hoga, Luiza Akiko Komura;
Revista Latino-Americana de Enfermagem , 2008, DOI: 10.1590/S0104-11692008000100018
Abstract: the aim of this research was to describe the experiences of a group of women about the decision making process related to illness care at home or in health care institutions. the thematic oral history method was applied. the descriptive categories were: a) the poor have their own way of taking care of health and illness; b) the main support to fight the illness is belief in god; c) medical care is the last resource, when healing resources are not enough and the illness is dangerous. in low income families, the cultural background, associated to the socioeconomic conditions, permeate the decision with regard to taking care of the illness at home or to seek institutionalized medical care. this knowledge is essential for meaningful health care from the perspective of individuals and families.
