Nardi, Henrique Caetano;
Psicologia & Sociedade , 2008, DOI: 10.1590/S0102-71822008000400004
Abstract: the goal of this article is to describe and problematize the quotidian of producing a research, which, in itself, seeks to understand how naturalized homophobic and sexist discriminatory actions are produced in the quotidian of schools in brazil and france, based on the implementation of public policies. besides presenting information and hypotheses derived from fieldwork, the intention of this text is to present the challenges of a research that immerses into the quotidian of different socioeconomic and cultural contexts. the analysis of using the comparative tool, considered as having a distortion effect of an image in the mirror and suspension effect of pre-constructed forms of comprehension of what is experienced, indicates that this order of analytic intervention allows to denaturalize research practices and the understanding of problems, distinctively from positivist comparison exercises that intend to generalize.
Nardi, Henrique Caetano;
Psicologia & Sociedade , 2003, DOI: 10.1590/S0102-71822003000100004
Abstract: this article discusses the contribution of the concept of social property (castel, 1998; 2000) for understanding contemporary modes of subjectification. the genealogy of a salaried society proposed by the author allows us to take social propriety as support for existence and as a guarantee of egalitarian rights. the transformations of the modes of subjectification that are associated with the new model of capitalistic accumulation has reinstalled inequality and insecurity as forms of revitalization of competition as a central value in liberal society. in this text we use castel's comprehensive model in order to analyse the corresponding modes of social propriety in brazilian history and their impact on the relationship between work and the modes of subjectification.

Ramminger, Tatiana;Nardi, Henrique Caetano;
Interface - Comunica??o, Saúde, Educa??o , 2008, DOI: 10.1590/S1414-32832008000200009
Abstract: this article intends to contribute towards the field of studies on the relationships between health and work, and particularly regarding discussions on the relationship between subjectivity and work. subjectivity is a concept widely used in psychology, even though there is little consensus about its meaning. this article seeks to discuss the concept of subjectivity in michel foucault's work, and suggests that this may be a strategic concept, in that it makes it possible to think in terms of the indissociability between individual and collective, interior and exterior, inside and outside, and individual and society. through this, the dichotomies traditionally present in the field of psychology and in studies on the relationship between work and health are broken.

Physis: Revista de Saúde Coletiva , 2007, DOI: 10.1590/S0103-73312007000200004
Abstract: the article discusses the modes of subjectification of mental health workers in the context of the psychiatric reform. based on the scientific literature review, document analysis and 40 interviews with mental health services workers, we intended to analyze, using the theoretical tools constructed by michel foucault, the truth games, challenges and difficulties present in the implementation of psychiatric reform's principles. we describe the political games and the dispute around the truth about the forms of health attention, as well as the need of permanent reflexive attitude towards work implication in order to avoid occupational diseases on workers.
Nardi, Henrique Caetano;Quartiero, Eliana;
Sexualidad, Salud y Sociedad (Rio de Janeiro) , 2012, DOI: 10.1590/S1984-64872012000500004
Abstract: in this article we bring a critical reflection on the training project "educando para a diversidade," conducted by nuances -a porto alegre ngo-, funded by the brazilian government as part of the actions in the program brasil sem homofobia. findings are based on participative observation, discussion groups, interviews and document analysis. we address debates on sexual diversity work in everyday life at school. breaking with the abject visibility reserved for non-heterosexual students and teachers or those who deviate from gender standards, as well constructing an ethic citizen visibility is something that requires continuous work and effort. what is at stake is the legitimacy of sexuality as an issue. in order to increase the impact of these actions it would be necessary to create a support and monitoring center for the educators trained by the project.
Mulheres Brasileiras na divis o internacional do trabalho reprodutivo: construindo subjetividade(s)
Manoela Carpenedo,Henrique Caetano Nardi
Revista de Estudios Sociales , 2013,
Abstract: This study aims to comprehend how Brazilian transnational domestic workers are subjectivated through migration, gender and reproductive work. Through Foucault's argumentation on the production of subjectivities, this research analyzes the effects of the migration in the life of eight Brazilian women working in the Parisian reproductive sector. As the findings suggest, the migration can be characterized by a multifaceted set of experiences and elaborations that respond not only to oppressive and an exploitative regimes but also provide domestic workers, to some extent, with spaces of resistance which enable them to recreate their lives through migration in a freer way to deal with the respective processes of subjectification. On the one hand, Brazilian migrant domestic workers experience subordination and exploitation in their employment in Paris. Their status as illegal immigrants, lack of rights, informal labor contracts, restricted job opportunities, and unequal relationships between employer and employee contribute to their exploitation and subordination. On the other hand, despite their precarious situations, migrant domestic workers are able to reinvent themselves through a set of resistance strategies.

This article searches to understand, based on a genealogical approach, the possibilities for the emergence of the statements that demarcate the field of mental health and is (dis)articulation with workers’ health policies. As a way to point out the articulations and disarticulations between these policies and its programmatic instruments, we will present a brief analytical description of the national conferences that dealt with these themes. As a comprehensive hypothesis for the obstacles for the implementation of this articulation, we will present the political and epistemological challenges of the knowledge-truth legitimating ways in the fields of mental health and workers’ health.
