Salud, Arte y Cuidado , 2011,
Abstract: This article describes the experience of virtualizing an presential course, so the results of its usability. In 2009 began the process of virtualizing the subject: Writing Tools for Researchers in Health. The course was redesigned based on ASSURE model instructional plan. It involved the audience’s characteristics and skills analysis regarding to the use of ICT, as well as objective changing, means, methods, materials, and new strategies of learning assessment, so the virtual classroom edition on Moodle platform. Once the course was redesigned, it was offered to 17 professors of the Faculty of Health Science at University Lisandro Alvarado, who were professors and counselors in nursing research having ICT skills. The study found that participants thought that this mode was relevant, due to its efficacy as tutors’ labor. So, it is highly recommend to some other colleagues.

Salud, Arte y Cuidado , 2011,
Abstract: A field research feasible project for the implementation of a virtual classroom to students from the second semester of Nursing Program in the course Introduction to Computing was performed. In the first diagnosis phase, the need for the implementation of a virtual classroom in that subject was determined. Information was collected by means of a questionnaire validated through expert opinions before being applied. In the second phase, a feasibility study determined the legal and institutional support framework of the project. In the third phase, taking into account the results of diagnostic and feasibility phases, a proposal was designed meeting the objectives of the program using multimedia strategies. The design and development of the proposal will result in: a) four trained teachers competent to assume the facilitator and/or tutor role at distance, b) a screening test to obtain general and specific information about the students and c) a subject updated program, educational guides as well as the design of a virtual classroom.

Abstract: background: the cystic fibrosis (cf) carrier rate in chile was estimated to be 1/40. cf is caused by mutations in the cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (cftr) gene. delta f508 mutation is the most common in cf patients in chile and worldwide. delta f508 has linkage disequilibrium with two single nucleotide polymorphisms (snp), often used to define the haplotypic frameworks of cf mutations. aim: to know the frequency of the delta f508 mutation and to establish the snps, m470v and t854t, haplotypic frequency, in a valparaiso general population sample. subjects and methods: fifty subjects were studied. genetic material was obtained from blood samples, amplified by pcr and analyzed by restriction fragment length polymorphism. results: two of the 100 chromosomes analyzed, carried the delta f508 mutation. therefore, the observed frequency carrier rate (0.02) was higher than the expected (0.01). both carrier chromosomes had the same snps haplotypic framework (1-2). in normal chromosomes, the haplotype 2-1 was the most common. discussion: these results suggest that the chromosomes that bear delta f508 mutation have most likely a mediterranean european origin, since this haplotypic framework has been reported in that region. we suggest that cf could be more common in valparaiso than it was previously

Oralidad y teatralidad en el Popol Vuh
HENRíQUEZ PUENTES,PATRICIA;
Acta literaria , 2003, DOI: 10.4067/S0717-68482003002800005
Abstract: the popol vuh is the book of the "beginning of the ancient stories" of the most powerful nation in the interior of guatemala in the sixteenth century. it is also the book of "human lineage", the book that rewrites the original, hidden from the researchers and thinkers, about the creation of the human race. it is an approximation of mesoamerican knowledge about the beginnings of man, of certain animal species and vegetation, of the earth and the cosmos. the constant reinventions of the popol vuh, realized since the eighteenth century, have conserved certain features of the thought and expression, oral in nature, of the maya-quiché people. the word oral always constitutes the modification of a total existential situation that includes the body. in this sense it can be affirmed that theatricality is consubstantial to oral cultures
Oralidad y escritura en el teatro indígena prehispánico
Henríquez,Patricia;
Estudios filológicos , 2009, DOI: 10.4067/S0071-17132009000100005
Abstract: the aboriginal pre-hispanic theater was put into writing in the xix century by colonial representatives usually supported by a bilingual aboriginal, depository of the works, and in some occasions, member of the group entrusted by the community to keep it in the cultural memory. this process assumed, among other things, the adjustment and reduction of the original piece by putting into alphabetical writing an ephemeral art that for centuries had written a history in constant movement and transformation, while it was performed by the bodies of the actors in the pre-hispanic, and then, colonial space. in addition, the process of adjustment experienced by the pre-hispanic theater imposed the concealment, in the interstices of writing, of all those aspects deemed censurable by the dominating culture.
Desarrollos de la antropología de la alimentación en América Latina: hacia el estudio de los problemas alimentarios contemporáneos
Carrasco Henríquez, Noelia;
Estudios sociales (Hermosillo, Son.) , 2007,
Abstract: diverse theoretic and methodological perceptions about food anthropology have participated, directly or indirectly, in the construction of politics and alimentary intervention in latin america. this article is about the identification and discussion of these approaches, from an analytic point of view of scientific knowledge in its politic context of emergence and application. this analytic perspective is constituted for the confluence of applied and development anthropology developments, and allows presenting the trajectory of anthropology in the nourishment field from theoretical-disciplinary contexts towards politic and programmatic contexts. the idea of this description is to analyze the alliances between anthropological knowledge and politic practice, and the manner in which the theoretical and methodological suggestions of food anthropology were filling spaces in contexts of food politic construction and intervention processes. the main interest is to think about relations among the anthropology and society, its evolution, its possibilities and its actual challenges, emphasizing the emergence of new perspectives and new research problems.
De la escena ritual a la teatral en una obra de teatro indígena prehispánico: Rabinal Achí o Danza del Tun
Henríquez Puentes,Patricia;
Aisthesis , 2008, DOI: 10.4067/S0718-71812008000100004
Abstract: the rabinal achí or dance of the tun is a founding theatrical play of latin-american theatre and key for the development process of western theatre during the 20th century; it encodes the moment in which rite and theatre were mutually contained, i.e., in that the spectacle was done for the eyes of god and man. the stage design at the time, blurred the limits between the space destined for the spectator and for the actor; flower and song, i.e., the artistic expression, it was extended in time and space invading all the social spheres; the community underwent the experience of reconnecting with divinity, re-establishing the cyclical cosmic balance; the spectacle operated as a catalyst of a spiritual experience and the actor, as its facilitator.
LA MIRADA ERóTICA: CUERPO Y PERFORMANCE EN LA ANTROPOLOGíA VISUAL
Lipkau Henríquez,Elisa;
Antipoda. Revista de Antropología y Arqueología , 2009,
Abstract: as bill nichols proposed (1991: 209), the ethnographer's emotions in the field are normally kept within what he called the "anthropological unconscious". in the present article i refer to the relationship between the body -that of the ethnographer and the ones of his/her subjects-, the performance of all of them, and visual anthropology as a vast field of study about social representation. in this sense, i analyze the possibility of reaching something nichols called an "erotics of the gaze", which conceives film as the inscription of an experience of cultural interaction between human and sensitive beings. this gaze may help us overcome the distance and hierarchy that have been traditionally established in some ethnographic and anthropological practices, in order to help us build new types of relationships with our subjects and, as jean rouch said in 1974: "help us share anthropology".
Rabinal Achi o Danza del Tun: Asuntos sobre el legado de un Don
Henríquez Puentes,Patricia;
Atenea (Concepción) , 2010, DOI: 10.4067/S0718-04622010000200004
Abstract: the rabinal achi or dance of the tun, a foundational indigenous work of the latin-american theatre, forms even today one of the modalities of exchange of a kin group from the guatemalan highlands. this work has been delivered as a gift for approximately eight hundred years, converting those who voluntarily have received, guarded, protected, supported and later penetrated it, into its directors and owners. the precedents of this cosmovision are in the master texts of the mayan culture, popol wuj, memorial de sololá. anales de los kaqchikeles y el título de totonicapán.
