Abstract: An empirical study to investigate the effects of thinking styles on emotional intelligence among employees of agriculture industry in east Azerbaijan province. The proposed study uses a standard thinking style questionnaire originally developed by Sternberg and Wagner (1992) [Sternberg, R. J., & Wagner, R. K. (1992). Thinking styles inventory. Unpublished test, Yale University]. There are 716 employees working for this agriculture-based unit and the study uses random sampling technique and chooses 255 employees for this study. Cronbach alpha has been used to verify the overall questionnaire and different tests such as Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Pearson correlation test are used to examine different hypotheses of this survey. The results indicate there is positive and meaningful relationship between thinking style and emotional intelligence. We can also confirm that four thinking style’s components including functions, levels, scope and learning have meaningful impact on emotional intelligence when the level of significance is five or even one percent. However, forms did not have any meaningful impact on emotional intelligence.

Transylvanian Review of Administrative Sciences , 2010,
Abstract: The aim of our study was to further develop an understanding of social capital in organizational knowledge sharing. We rst developed a measurement tool and then a theoretical framework in which six social capital factors (social interaction ties, trust, identi cation, norm of reciprocity, openmindedness, and shared language & goals) can have effect on two sides of knowledge sharing; attitude and expectations about knowledge sharing, and quality of knowledge sharing. We surveyed 144 managers and researchers from a research department of IRIB, and then examined their relationships using step-wise multiple regression analysis. We con rm that social interaction ties, trust, norm of reciprocity, and shared language & goals signi cantly contributed to a person’s attitude and expectations about knowledge sharing, but only shared language and goals directly contributed to quality of knowledge sharing.

Management & Marketing , 2011,
Abstract: This study is done with the purpose of investigation the level of burnout andinfluencing factors on it. The method used is measuring or filed-finding,descriptive studies type and the statistic society is made of the entire officialand non-official workers in the petrochemical industries national company inthe year (2009) including 6901people in the main office and 12 subsidiarycompanies who are working. The estimation of the sample volume is madeusing the cochran formula by the volume of 1742 people and the accidentalclass and the domesticated form of the Maslach Burn Out Inventory has beenused for gathering the dependant variant data of the study. In this study therelevance or effect of 20 independent variables on the burnout and itsconstituents was investigated. In the two variable tests, the emotionalcommitment had a reverse relation with burnout. So that with the increase ofthe interest and bind of the workers to the organization, the level of burnoutdecreased. In analyzing the step by step regression of the burnout accordingto the expected variables, 41percent of the explained burnout (R 2 =41%),and ranking the amount of the standard coefficient, the main elements likethe nature of the job, emotional commitment, work environment, job security, coworkers, education, job type, salary and the premium and jobindependence in the remaining regression equation and on the burnoutvariable have been influencing.

Management Science Letters , 2013,
Abstract: Cultural intelligence (CQ) is a new area of research, which is considered in different areas including banking industry. In this paper, we design a questionnaire in Likert scale and measure CQ in banking industry. The proposed study of this paper distributes 53 questionnaires among 60 employees of bank Sarmyeh, which is one of the private banks in Iran. The study also distributes a standard questionnaire among them to measure the performance of the same employees. Cronbach alpha are calculated for both questionnaires as 0.8155 and 0.9421, respectively. The study calculates Pearson correlation ratio between these two items and the result indicates that there is a positive (0.41) and meaningful relationship between CQ and performance measurement. In addition, there is a positive and meaningful relationship between motivational CQ and performance measurement (0.378). However, the survey does not find any meaningful relationship between cognitive CQ, metacognitive CQ and behavioral CQ on one side and performance measurement.
Improving Accuracy of Coarse Grid Numerical Solution of Solid-Solid Reactions by Taylor Series Expansion of the Reaction Term
Hassan Hassanzadeh,Mehran Pooladi-Darvish,Jalal Abedi
Mathematical Problems in Engineering , 2009, DOI: 10.1155/2009/696253
Abstract: Exothermic solid-solid reactions lead to sharp reaction fronts that cannot be captured by coarse spatial mesh size numerical simulations that are often required for large-scale simulations. We present a coarse-scale formulation with high accuracy by using a Taylor series expansion of the reaction term. Results show that such expansion could adequately maintain the accuracy of fine-scale behavior of a constant pattern reaction front while using a smaller number of numerical grid cells. Results for a one-dimensional solid-solid reacting system reveal reasonable computational time saving. The presented formulation improves our capabilities for conducting fast and accurate numerical simulations of industrial-scale solid-solid reactions.
