Health (Health) , 2015, DOI: 10.4236/health.2015.74059
Abstract: Aim: This randomize controlled experimental study has been carried out to investigate the effects on the integrity of perine of perineal massage and Kegel exercises applied prenatally to women who experienced vaginal delivery. Methods: Research was carried out between January 2012 and 2013, with a total of 101 pregnant women who referred to Ege University Hospital in ?zmir. Data Collection Form, Kegel Exercise Training Brochure, Practice Observation Form and Prenatal Perinea Massage Learning Guide for Implementer were used. Researcher continued to perform this massage once a week until delivery. Kegel exercises were asked to perform exercises at home and also to register them until delivery. When exercise group came to weekly controls or when they were contacted at home they were asked if they have performed daily exercise or not. The pregnant women in control group did not receive any application. One to one interview was performed during delivery and postnatal 24 hours at the hospital and a telephone interview was performed 15 days postnatal, so three groups were evaluated. The chi-square, Mann-Whitney U test and Kruskal Wallis test were used. Results: A statistically significant difference was found between study and control groups in terms of episiotomy rates, laceration, postnatal 24 hours and 15 days perineal pain and improvement (p < 0.05). Conclusion: It was found that perineal massage and Kegel exercises are important in maintaining the integrity of perineal significantly. It is thought that when the perineal massage and Kegel exercise being performed during pregnancy is supported by health professional, it will play a significant role in women’s quality of life.
The Geological, Petrographical and Engineering Properties of Rhyolitic Tuffs (Çan Stone) in Çan-Etili Area (Çanakkale), NW Turkey: Their Usage as Building and Covering Stones  [PDF]
Oya Türkd?nmez, Mustafa Bozcu
Open Journal of Geology (OJG) , 2012, DOI: 10.4236/ojg.2012.21003
Abstract: In this study, the geological, petrographical properties of rhyolitic tuffs exposed around ?an-Etili in the Biga Peninsula (NW Turkey) which are pyroclastic products of Late Oligocene-Early Miocene aged ?an Volcanism were investigated, also physical and mechanical characteristics of tuffs introduced and tried to determine the impact on engineering properties of petrographical features. In the region, rhyolitic tuffs called locally “?an stone” have been used as covering and building stones for many years. These tuffs generally have light yellowish, beige, brown colored and different patterns with light yellowish, cream, reddish and brown colors caused by iron oxidation of hydrothermal alteration. They are preferred as coatings and decorative stone with these patterns. ?an stone which consisted of rhyolitic composition, lithic and locally crystalline tuffs has compact structure. The mineral assemblage of tuffs is mainly composed of quartz, plagioclase, rarely biotite, amphibole (hornblende) phenocrystals and opaque mineral with particles of volcanic glass and lithic fragments. Not only petrographical and geochemical analyses were carried out but also standard rock mechanic tests (unit weight, specific gravity, porosity, water absorption and uniaxial compressive strength) on rhyolitic tuffs samples collected from four different quarries (Hoppa Hill, Halilaga, Uzunalan, Dereoba). Simple regression analysis of test results obtained from four different regions and correlations were found good correlation between engineering proper- ties and the petrographical and chemical properties of rhyolitic tuffs.
A Unified Equation of Interactions  [PDF]
Hasan Arslan
Open Journal of Microphysics (OJM) , 2011, DOI: 10.4236/ojm.2011.12005
Abstract: The aim of this study is to combine four fundamental forces in a single equation. Dirac equation is written by putting the Yukawa potential as a representation of the strong and gravitational forces. The ordinary terms seen in the Dirac Equation are treated as the representations of the electromagnetic forces. The Lagrangian of the weak local interaction of the charged particles is converted to the energy representation according to the virial theorem and is put in the equation. Thus four fundamental forces are combined in a unique equation.

The study provides additional insight into the growing field of literature examining the relationships between environmental policies and operational performance.

Losses in Wireless ATM Networks  [PDF]
Hasan Harasis
Communications and Network (CN) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/cn.2013.53028

The standardized approach to Mobile ATM network handover is a hard backward or forward handover scheme with no guarantees for the integrity of the data stream. These handover functions are detailed in this paper and a more performant virtual connection handover protocol, using in-slot signaling techniques in order to facilitate loss less handover, is introduced. The QoS aspects related to this scheme are discussed and its OAM implementation is presented.

The Distances in the Stable Systems Due to the Virial Theorem  [PDF]
Hasan Arslan
Applied Mathematics (AM) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/am.2013.44094

The virial theorem is written by using the canonical equations of motion in classical mechanics. A moving particle with an initial speed in an n-particle system is considered. The distance of the moving particle from the origin of the system to the final position is derived as a function of the kinetic energy of the particle. It is thought that the considered particle would not collide with other particles in the system. The relation between the final and initial distance of the particle from the origin of the system is given by a single equation.

The Dirac Equation with the Scattered Electron Including Extra Potential Energy Comes from the Virial Theorem  [PDF]
Hasan Arslan
Journal of Modern Physics (JMP) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/jmp.2013.44078

The scattering of electron by a photon is a well-known reaction in physics. In this study, the change in the electron’s energy after the scattering is taken into account. The previous works are searched. In order to take into account this change in the electron’s energy in the equation of motion of the electron, the Dirac equation is used with the virial theorem. The scattered electron kinetic energy which is given to the electron by the loss in photon’s energy is related to the potential energy of the electron by the virial theorem which states that the potential energy is two times of the kinetic energy in minus sign. A first time application of the virial theorem on a scattered electron by a photon is included to the Dirac equation.
