CONSUMO DE VIDEOJUEGOS Y JUEGOS PARA COMPUTADOR: INFLUENCIAS SOBRE LA ATENCIóN, MEMORIA, RENDIMIENTO ACADéMICO Y PROBLEMAS DE CONDUCTA
Rodríguez,Harold Germán; Sandoval Escobar,Celis Marithza;
Suma Psicológica , 2011,
Abstract: this study was designed to identify the relationship between video and computer games use on attention, memory, academic performance and problems behavior in school children in bogotá. memory and attention were assessed using a set of different scales of eni battery (matute, rosselli, ardila, & os-trosky-solís, 2007). for academic performance, school newsletters were used. behavioral problems were assessed through the cbcl / 6 -18 questionnaire (child behavior checklist) of (achenbach & edelbrock, 1983). 123 children and 99 parents were enrolled in 2 factorial design experimental studies. the results did not support the hypothesis of a significant change in memory tests, or intra-subject selective visual and hearing attention. however, these variables showed significant differences among children exposed to habitual videogames consumption. no differences were found between the level of regular video games consumption in school children and academic performance variables or behavioral problems.

A Simple Detection System for Two Classical Sagnac Interferometer Configurations  [PDF]
Gabriel Eduardo Sandoval-Romero, Enrique Francisco Pinzón-Escobar
Engineering (ENG) , 2012, DOI: 10.4236/eng.2012.412114
Abstract: Two interferometric systems were built, one in bulk optics and other one in fiber optics for showing the instrumentation stage designed for these devices, supported in a photodetector. This stage has a circuit for amplification, analog filtering and software for single channel data acquisition and digital filtering. Based on the Sagnac effect in bulk optics and in fiber optics, the Sagnac interferometer has many applications, nevertheless the methods of construction, design and instrumentation for the sensors used on both types of interferometers are well-known, but very common or general form, for this reason this work approaches some of the methodologies for the design and construction of these devices, obtaining higher sensitivity and better contribution in its respective interferometric paths. We used the simplest design for each interferometer, proposing the best detection limit for each one; to obtain the previous thing, we implement the three previous steps: amplifiers and analogous filters, software for filtering the digital sign. The data acquisition method used to allow us to obtain faster results, using the card of a PC, getting real time measurements and digital processing of the signal.
Torres Escobar,Germán Andrés;
Psychologia. Avances de la Disciplina , 2011,
Abstract: the present research is related to the teaching of psychology in colombia. its objective are: to characterize psychologist's competences that define the main international and national models of competences, to analyze them and finally, to propose a new model for the formation of the psychologist in colombia. the method used was the review and analysis of documents of each model taking into account: the definition of the concept of competence, the classification of competences, the educational strategies for the development and evaluation of such competences; and the curricular areas associated with such competences. as a conclusion, it's was established that the majority of the models define competences since a professional approach focused on the psychological service delivered to users, but this definition is not related to the life project of psychologists, so that's why it` s proposed a new model of competences to response to that need.
Soymilk, the protein slurry extracted in water from soybeans, obtained by means of a process tested previously at ICTA (the National University of Colombia's Institute of Food Science and Technology), was fermented by using a thermophyllic lactic culture consisting of L delbrueckii ss. bulgaricus, L. delbrueckii ss. lactis and S. salivarius ss. thermophilus. The soymilk composition was standardised (before fermentation), regarding solids and protein contení, by means of Brix0 as process variable. Soymilk was fermented by applying those same basic operations followed in cow milk fermentation. Acidification was assessed by evaluating pH, titrable acidity and organic acid production during the process by HPLC in an ionic exclusion column. Reologyc property modification was studied and compared with that for cow milk. It was proved that, despite the absence of lactose as substrate, soymilk acidification during this process can be explained by lactic acid production and that soymilk solid content influences acid production and changes in viscosity.
