Abstract: Now a days information technology plays an important role in all fields of sciences, arts and commerce, management and medicine. Up to date information on each and every topic is utilized everybody in all fields through internet. India is investing money in crores in production of software and hardware. Forecast is playing an important role in future prediction. In this paper we develop the growth models for electronic hardware and software components. Suitable Polynomial equations with time‘t’ (independent variable) and time series value ‘yi’ (dependent variable) for software production, hardware production and total production are fitted. Coefficient of determination (R2) measures the percentage variation in the dependent variable, that is accounted by the independent variable.
Introgression of Helicoverpa armigera Resistance from Cajanus acutifolius-a Wild Relative from Secondary Gene Pool of Pigeon Pea (Cajanus cajan)

Abstract: The aim of the study was to introgress Helicoverpa armigera resistance from wild relative Cajanus acutifolius into pigeonpea, (Cajanus cajan L.), an important grain legume in South Asia, East Africa and the West Indies. Pigeonpea grain yields on farmer’s fields are quite low, largely because of damage by insect pests, of which legume pod borer Helicoverpa armigera (Hübner) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) is the important pest worldwide. Pod borer has developed high levels of resistance to chemical insecticides. Currently, there are no cultivars of pigeonpea with high levels of resistance to H. armigera. Therefore, there is a need to identify and introgress resistance genes from the wild relatives of this crop. Wild relative of pigeonpea, Cajanus acutifolius (ICPW 15613) and the interspecific derivatives C. acutifolius x C. cajan have shown resistance to H. armigera. The results showed that all the test lines and C. acutifolius had high levels of flavonoids such as chlorogenic acid, quercetin and rutin in the flowers and buds, which may have resulted in less damage due to H. armigera larvae. Most of the test lines had more than 15.00 g of seed weight (100 seed weight) and beige seed color. These lines can be used for pigeonpea improvement for resistance to H. armigera.
Determination of acetaminophen and methocarbamol in bilayered tablets using RP – HPLC

Abstract: A simple, specific and accurate reverse-phase liquid chromatographic method was developed for the simultaneousdetermination of acetaminophen and methocarbamol in bilayered tablet dosage form. A Develosil ODS-MG-5column having 100×4.6 mm internal dimensions, with mobile phase containing water: methanol: glacial aceticacid (60:40:1.5,v/v/v) was used. The effluent was monitored at 273 nm. The retention time of acetaminophen andmethocarbamol were found to be 1.846 and 4.713 min respectively. The linearity range for acetaminophen andmethocarbamol was 75-600 and 50-400 μg/ml with correlation values of 0.9998 and 0.999 respectively. The recoverywas found to be in the range of 98.28-99.96% for acetaminophen and 99.36-101.64% for methocarbamol. Theproposed method was found to be accurate, precise, and reproducible for the simultaneous analysis of thesedrugs in bilayered tablets.

Abstract: Present work proposes a methodology to design a propeller with a metal and composite material to analyze its strength and deformation using Ansys software. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of composite over metals, stress analysis is performed on both composite and metal propeller using Ansys. Proposed methodology showed substantial improvements in metal propellers. The mean deflection, normal stress and shear stress were found for both metallic and composite propeller by using Ansys. From the results, stressanalysis composite propeller is safe resonance phenomenon. In this work effort is made to reduce stress levels so that advantage of weight reduction along with stresses can be obtained. The comparison analysis of metallic and composite propeller was made for the maximum deformation and normal stresses.

Abstract: A phosphorus containing dendrimer with a diphenylsilanediol core was synthesized using a divergent method. Several types of reactions were performed on dendrons of several sizes, either at the level of the core or the surface. The giant Schiff’s base macro molecule possesses 12 imine bonds and 8 hydroxy groups on the terminal phenyl groups. The structures of the intermediate compounds were confirmed by IR, GCMS and 31P NMR. The final compound was characterized by 1H, 13C, 31P NMR, MALDI-TOF MS and CHN analysis. Scanning electron microscopic and thermogravimetric analysis/differential scanning calorimetric studies were also performed on the final dendritic molecule.

Abstract: The cyclic oxadiazolediyl dioxachlorophosphine precursor on subsequent reaction with various alcohols underwent halide displacement to give 2-substituted diaza phospholes. These phospholes on oxidative addition with di hydroxy alcohols form corresponding phosphoranes The antimicrobial activities of these compounds were evaluated and they exhibited significant antimicrobial activity.

Abstract: The objective of the current work is to show the effectiveness of using wavelet transform for detection and localization of small damages. The spatial data used here are the rotational mode shapes of the damaged and undamaged plate-like structures. The continuous wavelet transform using complex Gaussian wavelet is used to get the spatially distributed wavelet coefficients so as to identify the damage position on a square plate. The rotational mode shape data of the square plate with damage of different sizes are obtained using ANSYS 9.0. Damage identification for different boundary conditions is studied.

Abstract: Delivery performance has evolved as an important metric in total quality management of an organization accredited with Lean Six Sigma and Capability Maturity Model (CMM) levels. Two analytical models are used to compute the delivery performance of an organization. One is deterministic and based on the number of days taken for the delivery and other is probabilistic and based on various stages of the product development which follow exponential distribution. For the second one cost effective analysis is made. This kind of analysis is very useful in the customer selection and appraisal of employee’s performance.

Abstract: The paper focuses on measuring self-similarity using few techniques by an index called Hurst index which is a self-similarity parameter. It has been evident that Internet traffic exhibits self-similarity. Motivated by this fact, real time web users at various centers considered here as traffic and it has been examined by various methods to test the self-similarity. The results from the experiments carried out verify that the traffic examined in the present study is self similar using a new method based on some descriptive measures; for example percentiles have been applied to compute Hurst parameter which gives intensity of the self-similarity. Numerical results and analysis we discussed and presented here play a significant role to improve the services at web centers in the view of quality of service (QOS).
