Abstract: The title complex, {(C16H12FN2)[PbI3]}n, consists of 1-[(2-fluorobenzylidene)amino]quinolinium cations and a polymeric PbI3 anion formed by face-sharing PbI6 octahedra. These octahedra form straight and regular infinite chains along the b axis. In the asymmetric unit, one cation and one anionic [PbI3] fragment are observed in general positions. Polymeric chains are produced by the glide plane perpendicular to the a axis.

Abstract: Human face can be rebuilt to a three-dimensional (3 D) digital profile based on an optical 3D sensing system named Composite Fourier-Transform Profilometry (CFTP) where a composite structured light will be used. To study the sampling effect during the digitization process in practical CFTP, the pectinate function and convolution theorem were introduced to discuss the potential phase errors caused by sampling the composite pattern along two orthogonal directions. The selecting criterions of sampling frequencies are derived and the results indicate that to avoid spectral aliasing, the sampling frequency along the phrase variation direction must be at least four times as the baseband and along the orthogonal direction it must be at least three times as the larger frequency of the two carrier frequencies. The practical experiment of a model face reconstruction verified the theories.

Abstract: When studying the altered expression of genes associated with cartilage regeneration by quantitative real-time RT-PCR (RT-qPCR), reference genes with highly stable expression during different stages of chondrocyte developmental are necessary to normalize gene expression accurately. Until now, no reports evaluating expression changes of commonly used reference genes in rabbit articular cartilage have been published. In this study, defects were made in rabbit articular cartilage, with or without insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1) treatment, to create different chondrocyte living environments. The stability and intensity of the expressions of the candidate reference genes glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase ( GAPDH), 18S Ribosomal RNA ( 18S rRNA), cyclophilin ( CYP), hypoxanthine phosphoribosyl transferase ( HPRT1), and β-2-microglobulin ( B2M) were evaluated. The data were analyzed by geNorm and NormFinder. B2M and 18S rRNA were identified to be suitable reference genes for rabbit cartilage tissues.

Abstract: Based on the observational current data of 4 stations near dongjiakou sea area in December in 2008, we analyzed the character of tidal current near dongjiakou sea area, and then further analyzed the hydrodynamic environment near this sea area through nurmerical simulation, which has important meaning for the further knowledge of hydrodynamic environment and can provide scientific foundation for the environmental protection of Dongjiakou sea area.

Abstract: The damageless exploration is one advanced method in archaeology research. It is the archaeology technology which does not need excavation through the geophysics method to explore the underground vestige, the relic directly. Multitudinous Earth exploration methods can obtain data of many different scales and different forms. In order to better manage and apply these different and disordered exploration data, the exploration result and the archaeology information and the historical record should be used to prove mutually. We use the GIS technology of Intergraph GeoMedia to establish an Integrated Interpretation Multi-purpose Geographic Information System which takes the archaeology exploration data as the foundation based on the Earth exploration archaeology data storage, the management, the analysis as well as many kinds of methods. This article presents its system structure, the realization and flow in detail. This system is applied to the national key project of science and technology, and may be used in a larger range.
Equivalent Circuit Analysis of Ridge-Loaded Folded-Waveguide Slow-Wave Structures for Millimeter-Wave Traveling-Wave Tubes

Abstract: In this paper, a new simple equivalent circuit model for analysis of dispersion and interaction impedance characteristics of ridge-loaded folded-waveguide slow-wave structure is presented. In order to make the computational results more accurately, the effects of the presence of the beam-hole and discontinuity due to the waveguide bend and the narrow side dimension change of this kind of structure were considered. The dispersion characteristics and the interaction impedance are numerical calculated and discussed. The analytical results agree very well with those obtained by the 3-D electromagnetic high-frequency simulation software. It is indicated that the equivalent circuit methods are reliable and high efficiency.
In Vitro and in Vivo Studies of the Inhibitory Effects of Emodin Isolated from Polygonum cuspidatum on Coxsakievirus B4

Abstract: The lack of effective therapeutics for Coxsackievirus B 4 (CVB 4) infection underscores the importance of finding novel antiviral compounds. Emodin (1,3,8-trihydroxy-6-methylanthraquinone) is one of the natural anthraquinone derivatives obtained from the root and rhizome of Polygonum cuspidatum. In the present study, the possibility of using emodin as a potential antiviral to treat CVB 4 infection was explored in vitro and in mice. Emodin reduced CVB 4 entry and replication on Hep-2 cells in a concentration- and time-dependent manner, with a 50% effective concentration (EC 50) of 12.06 μM and selectivity index (SI) of 5.08, respectively. The inhibitory effect of emodin for CVB 4 entry and replication was further confirmed by a quantitative real time PCR (qPCR) assay. The results further showed that the mice orally treated with different dosages of emodin displayed a dose dependent increase of survival rate, body weight and prolonged mean time of death (MTD), accompanied by significantly decreased myocardial virus titers and pathologic scores/lesions. Moreover, emodin could inhibit CVB 4-induced apoptosis in vitro and in vivo. Our results indicated that emodin could be used as potential antiviral in the post-exposure prophylaxis for CVB 4 infection.
A Novel Slotted Helix Slow-Wave Structure for Millimeter-Wave Traveling-Wave Tube

Abstract: A novel slotted helix slow-wave structure (SWS) is proposed to develop high power, wide-bandwidth, high reliability millimeter-wave traveling-wave tube (TWT). This structure, which can improve the heat dissipation capability of the helix SWS, evolves from conventional helix SWS with three parallel rows of rectangular slots made in the outside of the helix. In this paper, thermal stress analysis, the electromagnetic characteristics and the beam-wave interaction of this structure are investigated. The conclusions of this paper will be a great help for the design of millimeter-wave traveling-wave tube.
Identification and Typing of Cronobacter spp. by MALDI-TOF MS

Abstract: Identification and typing of Cronobacter spp. was performed by matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionisation time of flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF-MS). Protein mass spectrometric profiles obtained from reference strains and isolates of Cronobacter spp. and Enterobacter cloacae, Enterobacter aerogenes were compared and analyzed, characteristic peak at about 5740 (m/z) was selected as biomarker for identification of Cronobacter spp., 27 of 28 isolated strains could be identified by this marker. Cluster analysis of whole protein mass spectrometric profiles of 32 Cronobacter spp. strains shown that Cronobacter spp. could be divided into 6 different types. MALDI-TOF MS can be used as a new technology for identification as well as typing of Cronobacter spp. based on the protein mass spectrometric profiles.
