Diffraction of white-light supercontinuum by femtosecond laser-induced transient grating in carbon bisulfide

Abstract: Experiments on fs laser-induced transient grating (LITG) in carbon bisulfide (CS2) are carried out to explore the chirp characteristics of a white-light supercontinuum (SC) generated by a 800-nm, 160-fs laser pulse in a 4-mm thick Al2O3 crystal. Two orders of diffraction signals of SC by fs LITG in CS2 are observed, demonstrating that both the third-order process and the fifth-order process are present simultaneously. The experimental results also imply that the formation of an fs transient refractive-index grating in CS2 is mainly due to the electronic polarization process.

Abstract: 在医学微生物学教学改革实践中, 对传统讲授式教学与PBL教学进行比较。结果显示PBL法教学组学生的分析题成绩、理论成绩、总成绩均比传统讲授教学组好, 差异有高度显著性(P<0.01)。在PBL实践过程中发现影响其教学效果的主要因素有: 教师和学生角色转变的困难; 学生易受非重要问题的困扰; 时间和硬件设备的缺乏; 考核方式不完善。由此, 我们提出相应的对策, 以获得更好的教学效果。

Abstract: We discovered some primary reasons for the poor learning efficiency of students in medical microbiology study by the analysis and investigation of the tests and answer sheets. There are some thinking barriers, such as recognition errors, reiteration of interdisciplinary knowledge, unclear concepts, ambiguous imaginal thinking, poor ability in knowledge migration, and negative migration. We analyzed these barriers with the consideration of the characteristics of the course and provided some teaching strategies in the paper.

Abstract: CMEM model for calculating time based instantaneous emission from light duty diesel vehicle and its input parameters were introduced.On-board test data were used to validate the simulation results.The relative error of THC,CO,and NO_x are 14.2%,3.7% and 32.7%,respectively,while the correlation coefficients reach 0.73,0.72 and 0.87.The instantaneous emissions of the light duty diesel vehicle simulated by CMEM model are strongly coherent with the transient driving cycle in Shanghai.The simulation of instantan...

Abstract: The asymmetric unit of the title complex, {[Cd(C9H7N3O6S3)(C12H8N2)]·0.42H2O}n, contains a CdII atom, one doubly deprotonated 2,2′,2′′-[1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6-triyltris(sulfanediyl)]triacetic acid ligand (HTTTA2 ), a 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) ligand and a fractionally occupied water molecule [site occupancy = 0.421 (15)]. The CdII atom is six-coordinated within a distorted octahedral coordination geometry. Six coordination arises from four O atoms derived from three different HTTTA2 ligands, and two N atoms of the chelating phen molecule. The incompletely deprotonated triazine ligand adopts a μ3-η1:η1:η2 coordination mode, resulting in the formation of chains along the c axis based on Cd2O2 dimeric units. Adjacent chains are stacked through π–π stacking [3.533 (2) between phen and triazine rings] and C—H...O interactions, forming supramolecular sheets in the ab plane. Intra-and intermolecular O—H...O hydrogen bonds are also observed.

Abstract: 摘要: 在传统和声搜索优化算法的基础上,提出一种自适应双子和声搜索优化算法。通过建立主辅两个和声库正反双向进行迭代搜索,并对和声算法中的音调调整概率和音调微调带宽两个重要参数进行自适应调整,提高了算法的动态适应性以及局部搜索和全局搜索的协调能力。通过构造两组搜索方向各异、相互协同的主、辅和声,充分利用了搜索域内的隐含信息,扩展搜索范围,从而实现了全局最优。在试验中分别对3个复杂函数进行测试,结果表明该算法具有较好的全局搜索能力和收敛速度,在一定程度上提高了最优值的搜索能力,达到了预期效果。
Abstract: Based on the traditional harmony search optimization algorithm, a search optimization algorithm of self-adaptive gemini harmonies was proposed. By establishing two primary harmony and secondary harmony libraries, iterative searching along positive and negative directions, and adaptively adjusting two important parameters of pitch adjusting rate and band width of optimization algorithm, the algorithms dynamic adaptive ability and the coordination ability between local search and global search was improved. Two primary harmony and secondary harmony were constructed that were in different directions and cooperative, which made full use of the hidden information in the search domain, enhanced the searching area, and realized the global optimal. Three complex functions was tested in experiment, the results show that the algorithm had better global search ability and convergence rate compared with the original algorithm, the search ability of the optimal value was improved to some extent, which achieved the anticipated effects
Coherent coupling between vibrational modes of Cben H bonds at different positions studied by femtosecond time-resolved coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering

Abstract: We performed femtosecond time-resolved coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering (fs-CARS) measurements on liquid toluene and PVK film. For both samples, we selectively excited the CH stretching vibrational modes and observed the expected quantum beat signals. The frequency of the well-defined beats is in good agreement with the energy difference between the two simultaneously excited modes, which demonstrates that a coherent coupling between the vibrational modes of the C-H chemical bonds exists at the different positions of the molecules. The dephasing times of the excited modes are obtained simultaneously.

Abstract: This paper demonstrates the femtosecond time-resolved coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering by using folded BOXCARS geometry where an ultrashort broadband coherent white light continuum was used as Stokes pulse, and carries out the non-contact detection at long distance. The CARS signal is so easy to be detected that it can be seen even by nude eye. The C--H bonds of chloroform or PMMA were detected and the vibration modes belonging to the side chain and the main chain in PMMA were also compared. Their vibrational characteristics involved decay process and quantum beating were discussed. This modified CARS experimental technique could make up the deficiency of traditional CARS technique.

Both the size-dependent interband transitions and frequency-dependent free electron damping of the nanometallic aluminium are taken into account in the calculations. Oxidation effect of nanoaluminium is also analysed. It is shown that oxidation may enhance but may also reduce the optical absorption, depending on the excited light energy and initial dimension of nanoparticle. Metal core size and excited light energy dominate the absorption characteristic. The absorption ability of ellipsoidal nanoparticles is larger than that of spheroidal nanoparticles and increases by the square index as the aspect ratio increases. These calculations will provide some significant theoretical guidance for the preparation and laser ignition of nanoenergetic materials.
