A method of evaluating reliability of earthquake precursors

Abstract: 本文提出了一种可以对地震前兆的可信度进行评估的方法.通过对前兆信息的抽取、各类非地震干扰的识别、前兆与地震事件在时间和空间的相关性分析以及前兆的随机检验等一系列手段来评估前兆信息的真伪,提高地震前兆信息的显著性和可信度.该方法及思路也可为其他非地震前兆的可信度评估所借鉴.作为一个具体的例子,本文利用日本气象厅的地震目录以及能定量描述地震活动的时、空、强信息演化特征的RTL(Region_Time_Length)方法对2 0 0 0年10月6日在日本鸟取县西部发生的7 3级地震前周围地区近2 6年的地震活动进行了系统的研究,得到了可能的地震活动前兆信息,并采用本文提出的方法对该前兆进行了评估,证实了上述前兆的显著性和可信性.
Earthquakes and tide response of geoelectric potential field at the Niijima station

Abstract: 本文通过采用频谱分析和BAYTAP-G方法对位于日本伊豆群岛的新岛台跨度达三年(1998~2000年)的地电场的观测资料进行了分析研究,对该台地电场的潮汐响应进行了定量提取与分析,得到了地电场潮汐响应的一些主要特征,例如除了存在全日分潮、半日分潮等不同周期的潮汐成分外,还呈现出明显的半月、半年等不同周期的活动规律.进一步的定量分析显示与新岛台若乡(Wakago)关联的测线的潮汐响应在2000年夏季的群发地震前呈现出不同程度的异常变化,而在所分析的另一条测线中并未检测到类似的异常,这也许可以成为地震电磁信号的"选择性"现象的一种新的证据.
A Quantity Discount Model for Coordination of Internet-based Hybrid Channels

Abstract: The hybrid channels consisted of direct Internet channel and traditional retailer is dominating the marketing of modern manufacturers.Based on a quantitative method,the paper aims to study the quantity discount mechanism for the coordination(i.e.,maximizing the total channel profit) of hybrid channels.A Stackelberg game model is established,and an initial analysis on sharing the after-coordination profits is presented.The results show that manufacturer can provide infinite quantity discounts for coordination of hybrid channels,some of which can make both manufacturer and retailer enjoy greater cooperative profits than under non-cooperative situation.The introduction of Internet channel doesn't mean a threat to retailer,in that the competing manufacturer and retailer can choose to cooperate to reach a "win-win" situation.

Abstract: The stress is an important factor in the research on the crustal stability of a given region. Its occurring and developing is closely related to the earthquake and fault action. So it's an important method to evaluate the crustal stability of a given region from the stress. Mathematical stimulating model has been established according to the seismic and geological structure and recent crustal acting and so on in Beijing area (Fig. 1). On the above-mentioned method the authors calcaulated the field of recent structural stress and the fields of regulating influence as the increasing of fractural action in Beijing area(Fig. 4-Fig. 10), and established the field of comprehensive reguting influence as the increasing of fractural action on the basis of every field of regulating influence (Fig. 11). The authors also analysis and compare the relative grade of crustal stability of Beijing area and the relative grade of crustal stability of Beijing city in Beijing area, and get a conclusion that the increasing of Nankao-Sunhe fault action is rather affecting to the crustal stability of Beijing city.
Error effects on magnetotelluric inversion

Abstract: We investigate the effects of various error distributions on magnetotelluric (MT) inversion using numerical model simulations. We first generate the ideal noise-free synthetic data from forward modeling of some known models. Then the above ideal synthetic data sets are contaminated by the random noise satisfying Gamma, Gaussian and Uniform distributions with different means and standard deviations respectively. Finally, we make the MT inversion by applying the nonlinear conjugate gradients algorithm to the above synthetic data with various noises. The preliminary results showed that the error effects on MT inversion seem not significant for the simpler model considered in this study. However, such influence cannot be neglected for some complicated models, because the inversion results deviate more from the known complicated models with increasing error levels in the synthetic data. Our results also indicated that the inversion results are not sensitive to the error distributions as long as they have the same mean value and the same standard deviation.
Numerical simulation of selectivity of seismic electric signal and its possible influences

Abstract: We discuss the possible application of the COMSOL Multiphysics, a commercial finite element method (FEM) software, to 3D numerical simulation of seismic electric signal (SES). After validation test of the FEM software, we investigate the possible influences in numerical simulation of SES, by adopting different types of boundary condition, varied size of calculated region, various combinations of electrical parameters of the media, and various models including surface inhomogeneity of resistivity or underground conductive channel. The preliminary results showed that care should be taken for the selection of model parameters in numerical simulation of SES. Selectivity phenomena of SES may be caused either by surface inhomogeneity of resistivity or by underground conductive channel, depending on the detailed electric structure and contrast of resistivity in the model.

The quinoline ring system and the hexyl chain are both essentially planar, and the dihedral angle between them is 46.30 (2)°. Intramolecular N—H...N and C—H...O hydrogen bonds form five- and six-numbered rings, respectively. The crystal packing is stabilized by short C—H...O interactions.

Effects of Huoxue Tongmai Lishui method on fundus fluorescein angiography of non-ischemic retinal vein occlusion: a randomized controlled trial

Abstract: Background: Huoxue Tongmai Lishui method, a traditional Chinese medicine treatment for eliminating water, activating and promoting blood circulation, could inhibit fundus hemorrhage on experimental retinal vein occlusion (RVO) with high obvious effective rate, and improve symptoms in traditional Chinese medicine. The action mechanism may be related to reducing plasma viscosity and non-perfusion area, and the formation of collateral circulation. Objective: To explore the therapeutic effects of Huoxue Tongmai Lishui method (Sanxue Mingmu Tablet) on fundus fluorescent angiograph of non-ischemic retinal vein occlusion (RVO). Design, setting, participants and interventions: Thirty-four patients with non-ischemic RVO in Department of Ophthalmology, the First Affiliated Hospital, Hunan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from April 2005 to April 2009 were included. All the patients were diagnosed as qi stagnation and blood stasis syndrome or hyperactivity of liver yang syndrome, and they were randomly divided into two groups, with 17 eyes of 17 patients in treatment group treated by Sanxue Mingmu Tablet combined with conventional treatment, and 18 eyes of 17 patients in control group treated by Xueshuantong Tablet combined with conventional treatment. The patients were treated for two months. Main outcome measures: Fundus colour photography, and fundus fluorescent angiograph were detected in two groups before and after the treatment. Results: The curative effect of Sanxue Mingmu Tablet was better than that of Xueshuantong Tablet. Huoxue Tongmai Lishui method could significantly shorten the retinal circulation time, reduce the non-perfusion area, decrease the formation of angiogenesis and promote the formation of collateral circulation. Conclusion: Huoxue Tongmai Lishui method is an effective traditional Chinese medicine treatment with high obvious effective rate in reducing non-perfusion area and avoiding venous occlusion and formation of collateral circulation.
Effects of eye drops of Buddleja officinalis Maxim. extract on lacrimal gland cell apoptosis in castrated rats with dry eye

Abstract: Objective: To explore the possible mechanism of eye drops of Buddleja officinalis extract in treating dry eye of castrated rats by analyzing the expressions of Bax and Bcl-2 proteins. Methods: Forty-five Wistar male rats were randomly divided into sham-operated group, untreated group and eye drops of Buddleja officinalis Maxim. extract (treatment) group. The dry eye model was established with orchiectomy in the untreated group and treatment group. Rats in the treatment group were treated with eye drops of Buddleja officinalis Maxim. extract, one drop once, three times daily. Eyes of rats in the sham-operated group and untreated group were instilled with normal saline. After one-, two-, or three-month treatment, five rats in each group were scarified respectively. Then samples were taken to detect related indices. Expressions of Bax and Bcl-2 of lacrimal gland were checked by immunohistochemical method and quantity of apoptotic cells was counted.Results: After one-, two- or three-month treatment, the quantities of expressions of Bax in acinar epithelial cells and glandular tube cells were significantly lower, and those of Bcl-2 were significantly higher in the treatment group than in the untreated group, and the quantities of apoptotic cells of the treatment group were significantly lower than those of the untreated group (P<0.01). Conclusion: The main components of extract of Buddleja officinalis Maxim. are flavonoids, which can significantly inhibit cell apoptosis in lacrimal gland.
