Empirical Study of Influential Factors of Online Customers’ Repurchase Intention  [PDF]

Abstract: There is not a unanimous conclusion about the influential elements of online customers’ repurchase intention. We established a concept model and discussed how utilitarian values (perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness), social values (satisfaction and trust) and the hedonic value (perceived enjoyment) directly and indirectly influenced customers’ repurchase intention in the context of online shopping. It adapted questionnaire to collect data and testified the hypothesis by structural equation model. The results showed that perceived usefulness, online customers’ satisfaction and perceived enjoyment had significantly positive impact on online customers’ repurchase intention. Moreover, we found that compared with utilitarian factors, the hedonic factor had a stronger positive impact on repurchase intention.
An Empirical Analysis of the Impact of RMB Exchange Rate Fluctuation on Textile and Clothing Export of Guangdong  [PDF]

Abstract: The main purpose of this paper is to analyze if RMB appreciation is the reason for the decline of Guangdong textile and garment exports and how to make textile and garment industry of Guangdong province break through the bottleneck of development, so as to achieve a qualitative leap in the context of the RMB exchange rate fluctuations and rising production costs. Five parts are included, the first part is introduction, which elaborates the research significance and literature review; the second part is about data and research methods; the third part is an empirical analysis of the impact of RMB exchange rate fluctuation on textile and clothing export of Guangdong; the fourth part is the conclusion analysis, while the last part are policy suggestion, which includes three aspects, government industry and enterprise themselves. In theory, the appreciation of the exchange rate will reduce the export price advantage to reduce exports. However, in this paper, the VAR and VEC models were constructed by using the monthly data of Guangdong textile and clothing export (LNEX), RMB real exchange rate (LNER) and purchasing price index (LNPPI) in 2007-2014, finding that Although LNEX has a co-integration relationship with LNER in the long run, LNER is not the Granger Cause of LNEX, while LNPPI passes the test of causality; Impulse response curves show that LNER has a negative impact on LNEX in the short term, while there is no shock effect for a long time; Variance decomposition analysis shows that contribution of LNER to LNEX was 0, both in the long term and short term, while the long-term contribution of LNPPI to LNEX is about 8%.
Combined Minimally Invasive Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy and Retrograde Intrarenal Surgery for Staghorn Calculi in Patients with Solitary Kidney

Abstract: Background To present our experience with simultaneous combined minimally invasive percutaneous nephrolithotomy (MPCNL) and retrograde intrarenal surgery (RIRS) to manage patients with staghorn calculi in solitary kidney, and evaluate the safety, efficiency and feasibility of this approach. Methodology/Principal Findings The study included 20 patients with staghorn calculi in solitary kidney. Demographic characteristics, stone location and surface area were recorded. After informed consent, the patients underwent one stage MPCNL firstly. Combined second stage MPCNL and RIRS simultaneously were performed at postoperative 5–7 days. Operative parameters, stone-free rate (SFR), stone analyses and complications were evaluated. Serum creatinine (Scr), glomerular filtration rate (GFR) and chronic kidney disease (CKD) were measured preoperatively, postoperatively at 1 month, and each follow-up visit. All patients had staghorn stones involving multiple calyces. The mean stone burden was 1099.9±843.95 mm2. All patients had only one percutaneous access tract. The mean whole operative duration was 154.37±32.45 min. The mean blood loss was 64 (12–140) ml. The final SFR was 90%. During the 1-month follow-up study period, four patients improved in CKD stage. Two patients who had CKD (stage 5) still needed dialysis postoperatively. Mean Scr of the rest patients preoperatively was 187.16±94.12 compared to 140.99±57.92 umol/L by the end of 1-month follow-up period (p = 0.019). The same findings were observed in GFR in that preoperatively it was 43.80±24.74 ml/min and by the end of the 1-month follow-up it was 49.55±21.18 ml/min (p = 0.05). Conclusions/Significance Combined MPCNL and RIRS management effectively decrease the number and size of percutaneous access tracts, which is safe, feasible, and efficient for managing staghorn calculi in solitary kidney with satisfactory SFR and reducing blood loss, potential morbidity associated with multiple tracts. The approach did not adversely affect renal function at both short-term and long-term follow-up.
Molecular cloning of a novel bioH gene from an environmental metagenome encoding a carboxylesterase with exceptional tolerance to organic solvents

Abstract: Background BioH is one of the key enzymes to produce the precursor pimeloyl-ACP to initiate biotin biosynthesis de novo in bacteria. To date, very few bioH genes have been characterized. In this study, we cloned and identified a novel bioH gene, bioHx, from an environmental metagenome by a functional metagenomic approach. The bioHx gene, encoding an enzyme that is capable of hydrolysis of p-nitrophenyl esters of fatty acids, was expressed in Escherichia coli BL21 using the pET expression system. The biochemical property of the purified BioHx protein was also investigated. Results Screening of an unamplified metagenomic library with a tributyrin-containing medium led to the isolation of a clone exhibiting lipolytic activity. This clone carried a 4,570-bp DNA fragment encoding for six genes, designated bioF, bioHx, fabG, bioC, orf5 and sdh, four of which were implicated in the de novo biotin biosynthesis. The bioHx gene encodes a protein of 259 aa with a calculated molecular mass of 28.60 kDa, displaying 24-39% amino acid sequence identity to a few characterized bacterial BioH enzymes. It contains a pentapeptide motif (Gly76-Trp77-Ser78-Met79-Gly80) and a catalytic triad (Ser78-His230-Asp202), both of which are characteristic for lipolytic enzymes. BioHx was expressed as a recombinant protein and characterized. The purified BioHx protein displayed carboxylesterase activity, and it was most active on p-nitrophenyl esters of fatty acids substrate with a short acyl chain (C4). Comparing BioHx with other known BioH proteins revealed interesting diversity in their sensitivity to ionic and nonionic detergents and organic solvents, and BioHx exhibited exceptional resistance to organic solvents, being the most tolerant one amongst all known BioH enzymes. This ascribed BioHx as a novel carboxylesterase with a strong potential in industrial applications. Conclusions This study constituted the first investigation of a novel bioHx gene in a biotin biosynthetic gene cluster cloned from an environmental metagenome. The bioHx gene was successfully cloned, expressed and characterized. The results demonstrated that BioHx is a novel carboxylesterase, displaying distinct biochemical properties with strong application potential in industry. Our results also provided the evidence for the effectiveness of functional metagenomic approach for identifying novel bioH genes from complex ecosystem.
An Evolutionary Algorithm Based on a New Decomposition Scheme for Nonlinear Bilevel Programming Problems  [PDF]

Abstract: In this paper, we focus on a class of nonlinear bilevel programming problems where the follower’s objective is a function of the linear expression of all variables, and the follower’s constraint functions are convex with respect to the follower’s variables. First, based on the features of the follower’s problem, we give a new decomposition scheme by which the follower’s optimal solution can be obtained easily. Then, to solve efficiently this class of problems by using evolutionary algorithm, novel evolutionary operators are designed by considering the best individuals and the diversity of individuals in the populations. Finally, based on these techniques, a new evolutionary algorithm is proposed. The numerical results on 20 test problems illustrate that the proposed algorithm is efficient and stable.

Abstract: In this paper, we provide new preconditioner for saddle point linear systems with (1,1) blocks that have a high nullity. The preconditioner is block triangular diagonal with two variable relaxation paremeters and it is extension of results in [1] and [2]. Theoretical analysis shows that all eigenvalues of preconditioned matrix is strongly clustered. Finally, numerical tests confirm our analysis.

Abstract: This article is to carry out in-depth mechanism exploration of influences of three different price promotion strategies on Distributors’ ordering intentions. This research finds out that Distributors have stronger intentions of determining ordering in the case of reward promotion rather than in threat promotion. However, among Distributors who have decided ordering, threat promotion can lead to stronger frequent ordering intention. Promotion intensity has strong adjustment effect on Distributors’ ordering intention both in reward and threat promotions. Rebates strategy has positive influence on Distributors’ intentions of both determining ordering and frequent ordering. The study reveals different price promotion strategies’ different influences on Distributors’ ordering intentions. This study provides a good reference for guiding enterprise managers’ application of price promotion.

Abstract: Based on the theory of fractional calculus, the contraction mapping principle, Krasnoselskii fixed point theorem and the inequality technique, a class of Caputo fractional-order BAM neural networks with delays in the leakage terms is investigated in this paper. Some new sufficient conditions are established to guarantee the existence and uniqueness of the nontrivial solution. Moreover, uniform stability of such networks is proposed in fixed time intervals. Finally, an illustrative example is also given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the obtained results.

Abstract: Acute myocardial infarction (AMI) is rare in young adults. The management of these patients is considered as a clinical challenge. We report the case of a 26-year-old man who was presented to the Emergency Room of Affiliated Hospital of Guilin Medical University with an acute onset of chest pain. Initially electrocardiogram (ECG) with no evidence of ST-segment abnormalities but QT prolongation a signal of sudden cardiac death, 20 minutes later, it revealed ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). Coronary angiography (CAG) demonstrated left main coronary artery occlusion. AMI was diagnosed based on clinical symptom, elevated cardiac biomarkers, electrocardiographic dynamic monitoring and CAG. The awareness of chest pain as possible underlying AMI symptom—especially in young patients presenting with QT prolongation—is crucial for clinical treatment, as a missed diagnosis can worsen the patient’s further prognosis. In addition, reperfusion arrhythmia is a challenge to short-term outcomes of young patients with AMI, so it is necessary to make preoperative risk stratification.

Abstract: By doing a questionnaire survey of the gratitude awareness situation among the students of one university in Guangzhou, we had an overview of the gratitude awareness of the students. Based on this survey, it is advocated that college students’ gratitude education should be promoted on the basis of Chinese traditional cultural education; disadvantaged students should be paid more attention; teachers should set good examples; and the gratitude education should be enriched to make it more social; etc.
