Recent Advances in Gene Transformation of Monocotyledons Mediated by Agrobacterium Tumefaciens

Abstract: The transformation system mediated by Agrobacterium tumefaciens is a kind of common and efficient means for gene transformation of dicotyledons. The advantages of this system have aroused much attention. This method is used recently to transform monocotyledons which have been considered out of the range of Agrobacteria hosts. Many important crops such as rice, corn, barley and wheat have been transformed successfully by Agrobacterium. This article summarizes the advantages of Agrobacteria transformation, the mechanism of transformation and research advances on monocotyledons.
Adaptable mobile transaction model based on weight in mobile computing

Abstract: Mobile transaction model is one of the key technologies.Based on the analysis of the present transaction models,this paper proposed an adaptable mobile transaction model based on weight,which can itself choose sub-transaction model according to the transaction's network and whether the transaction visits the hot data.The results of experiment show that new model has better performance at mobile transaction redo ratio and executing time than other models.
Edge detection method based on mathematical morphology and canny algorithm

Abstract: A new edge detection method was put forward based on mathematical morphology and Canny algorithm. The background of the image was estimated by morphological opening and then calculated together with the original image by geometric operations. Finally, the Canny edge detection algorithm was applied to the processed image. The experimental results show that the proposed approach is obviously superior to the traditional Canny edge detection method with median filter, and provides good foundation for feature extraction and object recognition.

Abstract: In the title compound, C15H12ClF3N4O2, the dihydropyrimidine ring exhibits an envelope conformation. The dihedral angle between the mean planes of the dihydropyrimidine and phenyl rings is 83.94 (6)°. The OCH2CH3 group is disordered over two sites with occupancies of 0.155 (3) and 0.845 (3). The crystal packing is stabilized by intermolecular N—H...N hydrogen bonds.
Gain-Programmed Amplifier Based on AD8402 Digital Potentiometer

Abstract: After Comparing some other architectures of different digital potentiometers, a gainprogrammed amplifier based on an AD8402 digital potentiometer which can set offset voltage is presented. The hardware principle and software design of this method are described and some notices for using AD8402 are given. The gain-programmed amplifier has a simple hardware architecture , high quality, low price and widespread availability.
Generalized hierarchical hybrid fuzzy system and its universal approximation

Abstract: To avoid the rule-explosion in the fuzzy system, we introduce a real-number and unify the Mamdani fuzzy system and the T--S fuzzy system to build a generalized hierarchical hybrid fuzzy system, and derive its mathematical representation. Because of the good properties of square-piecewise linear functions, this type of fuzzy system still possesses the universal approximation ability in the sense of integral norm. Simulation in an example shows that the generalized hierarchical hybrid fuzzy system can avoid the rule-explosion problem.
Compact Dual-Mode Filter Using Meander Shorted Stub Loaded Resonators

Abstract: To reduce the size and improve the performance, a 4th-order miniaturized dual-mode microstrip bandpass filter (BPF) is developed. A meander shorted stub loaded resonator is used, and much compact size is obtained. Theoretical model is set up, and the odd and even modes of the BPF are analyzed based on a symmetrical structure. Full wave simulation validates the design method. To verify the design, a fabricated BPF sample has been tested. Experiment result demonstrates that the designed BPF has wider stopband and better selectivity. Its fractional bandwidth and a center frequency are available.

Abstract: In the title compound, C14H11BrN2O3S, the 2,3-dihydrothiophene ring is almost planar [maximum deviation = 0.006 (1) ]. The pyran ring is in an envelope conformation [puckering parameters Q = 0.115 (2) , θ = 77.5 (10), = 172.9 (10)°]. The pyran and phenyl rings are approximately perpendicular, making a dihedral angle of 76.4 (2)°. The crystal packing is stabilized by intermolecular N—H...O hydrogen bonds, with the sulfone O atoms acting as acceptors.

The nitro group is disordered over two sites with occupancies of 0.780 (15) and 0.220 (15). An intramolecular N—H...F hydrogen bond is observed in the molecular structure. The molecules are linked into a two-dimensional network parallel to (100) by O—H...O, N—H...O and C—H...O hydrogen bonds.
Entropy of a general spherically symmetric and charged evaporating black hole

Abstract: Starting from the null surface equation, we obtain the event horizon of a general spherically symmetric and charged evaporating black hole. Using Klein Gordon equation, thin film brick wall model and WKB approximation, we obtain the entropy of a general spherically symmetric and charged evaporating black hole. This entropy is proportional to the area of event horizon.
