Auto-avalia??o da competência para ensinar: estudo preliminar de uma escala

Abstract: this research intended to discuss the questions relating to the teacher competence to teach, from a set of knowledge related to the teacher‘s job. 36 primary school teachers of the first and second grade took part in this study. these teachers were from 7 municipal schools of a city in the interior of paraná. most of them (72,22%) have done only the magistério and 36,11% have a little professional experience. a scale of self-evaluation of the teaching competence of the participants was used. the referred scale is composed by 72 items - abilities for the teacher‘s job - was developed by the researcher. the teachers should choose among 5 judgement from the scale. the judgement was: nothing, more or less, a lot, too much. the results, from the analysis of average and percentages, indicated that the population studied, assessed themselves as competent and with abilities in teaching.

Abstract: in this study the aims were to investigate the rates of reliability of the self-esteem inventory (sei) - form a and to describe the self-esteem considering the variables gender and age, in the four dimensions studied by the inventory. the subjects of this study were 142 children and adolescents from ten to 18 years old from a public school. the results referring to the reliability rates of the self-esteem inventory (sei) - form a showed that the reliability had pointed satisfactory rates, although the internal consistency analyzed through the item-total correlation indicated problems in same items. this results conduct to discussions concerning the transcultural adaptation of assessment instruments and this study's conclusions point to the need of improving the chosen instruments in future investigations, towards improving the internal consistency of the items.

Abstract: No presente estudo buscou-se investigar os índices de precis o do Inventário de Auto-Estima (SEI)-Forma A, descrever a auto-estima do grupo estudado considerando-se as variáveis: gênero e faixa etária nas dimens es estudadas pelo Inventário. Foram participantes deste estudo 142 crian as e adolescentes de dez a 18 anos. Os resultados referentes aos índices de precis o do Inventário mostraram índices satisfatórios quando considerados os resultados da pontua o geral, o mesmo n o ocorreu quando a correla o item-total foi submetida às dimens es estudadas. Com rela o aos resultados descritivos da auto-estima do grupo estudado, estes apresentaram pequenas diferen as entre as variáveis pesquisadas. Estes resultados levaram a discuss es a respeito da adapta o transcultural de instrumentos de avalia o e as conclus es deste estudo apontam para a necessidade de que o instrumento escolhido seja aperfei oado em investiga es futuras no sentido de melhorar a consistência interna dos itens.

Abstract: the studies of personality ant temperament has been conducted in different countries in order to betler understand and assess the individual differences. this issue assumes an important role in brazil maily because of three kinds of reasons: 1) brazilian psuchologist has no sufficient research and instruments for psychological assessment; 2) there is no specific temperament scale for school psychologist practices and 3) for school psychologist service the assessment for personality characteristics is an important function. the purpose ofthis study was to establish empirical referents for the particular concept and dimensions assessed by pts-brazilian version, and providing an empirical analysis for the clarification ofthe constructs ofthis area. third hundred nithy five (395) subjects from different group age, answered the scale, and it was conducted a analysis of the items. results was described and discussed considering the international evaluation ofthe pts.

Abstract: this study investigated the temperament characteristics of a sample of children from 7 to 14 years old, verifying the influence of genetics in the determination of temperament. a sample of 26 parents provided data about temperament of 26 pairs of twins (15 monozigotic, 11 dizigotic), totalizing 52 subjects. for the data gathering, the pavlovian temperament survey - pts, child version was used, which investigates three temperament factors: strength of excitation (se), strength of inhibition (si) and mobility (mo). the results showed that, from parents' perception, this sample had mobility as the predominant temperament characteristic. analysis of variance (manova) indicated that temperament characteristics varied when considering variables such as sex and age group. the correlation obtained from pairs of monozigotic and dizigotic twins made evident the influence of genetic determination on the three factors.

Abstract: the pavlovian temperament survey - pts was developed to evaluate the behavioral expression of central nervous system properties. this study aimed to begin the assessment process and reduction of pts's items, version 7 to 14 years. a sample of 124 subject aged 7 to 14, of both sexes, who had their temperamental characteristics evaluated for pts took part in the study. the reduction process and assessment consisted of two stages: analysis of the correlation total item and exploratory factorial analysis. the results pointed to the permanence of 107 items of the total of 252 that initially composed the scale: 35 items in fe (38,8%), 42 in fi (50%) and 30 in mo (38,4%). new studies are necessary for a better adaptation of the items to the brazilian context, with extension of the sample to give continuity to the assessment process and reduction of pts's items version 7 to 14 years.

Abstract: Este estudo investigou características temperamentais de uma amostra de crian as de 7 a 14 anos, verificando inclusive a influência exercida pela genética na determina o do temperamento. Uma amostra de 26 pais forneceu dados sobre o temperamento de 26 pares de gêmeos (15 monozigóticos, 11 dizigóticos), os quais totalizavam 52 sujeitos. Para coleta de dados foi utilizada a Escala Pavlovian Temperament Survey, vers o infantil, que investiga três fatores de temperamento: For a de Excita o (FE), For a de Inibi o (FI) e Mobilidade (MO). Resultados obtidos indicaram que a partir da percep o dos pais, esta amostra de sujeitos possuía como característica predominante de temperamento a mobilidade. Análise de variancia (MANOVA) indicou que as características temperamentais variavam quando consideradas as variáveis sexo e faixa etária. Considerando-se a gemealidade, correla es obtidas entre pares de gêmeos monozigóticos e dizigóticos evidenciaram a influência exercida pela genética na determina o dos três fatores de temperamento.
