The creative word and poetic visions of the world. The beginnings of an epic fantasy in C. S. Lewis
Gutierrez Bautista, O. D.
Ocnos , 2011,
Abstract: The enormous popularity of the book series The Chronicles of Narnia by British author C. S. Lewis invites the study of the work′s artistic quality that forms part of the beginning of the epic fantasy; not only because it represents a milestone in literary history, but also because it remains an expression of fundamental human needs that, in the same manner, were found in post-war days ofthe twentieth century, as observed in the great questions of postmodernity. The crisis of the greatstories generally expressed by religions and thecultural dissolution of major literary referencesproduce a fertile ground for the emergence ofliterary works, such as The Chronicles of Narnia,and propose a vision of the world and a projectfor the future. In this paper we will analyze theartistic value of The Magician’s Nephew (1955), abook which opens the collection of children’s books,as a work that offers a poetic vision of the worldwith the Judeo-Christian religious background ofcreation.
Alternativas analíticas en el campo de la movilización social en Colombia: la acción colectiva de alto riesgo. Lecturas a propósito de la protesta campesina en el Tolima
Bautista Bautista,Sandra Carolina;
Estudios Políticos , 2012,
Abstract: this paper presents a theoretical and analytical approach for high-risk collective action, as an explicative tool for different aspects of social mobilization. this perspective allows a better understanding of certain dynamics, in which there seems to be an apparent contradiction between collective action processes and their own adversities. a theoretical contrastation exercise is carried out, based on important authors from the specialized literature, and proposing a conceptual definition for analyzing two experiences of peasant protests in colombia: el líbano and chaparral in the state of tolima. mentioned mobilization processes are described using collected information in the field, press reviews, and multiple documents, leading to the development of analytical categories based on actual information. the specifics of these collective actions are proven; hence, the potential of this approach remains as a powerful tool for future works.

The Draw-a-Family Picture Test (DAFPT): A New Projective Test for Children  [PDF]
Manuela Policarpio-Gutierrez
Open Journal of Social Sciences (JSS) , 2018, DOI: 10.4236/jss.2018.68013
Abstract: The Draw-a-Family-Picture-Test (DAFPT) is a new projective test instrument developed to facilitate understanding of children. It comes with a guide for administration and interpretation. Evaluation of the test revealed that it is generally very fit for determining children’s attitude, fears, needs, maturity level, stressors, gender tendencies and self-perception in relation to their family and significant others. Wide use of the instrument is therefore encouraged. Nonetheless, as the researcher believes that perfection can only be attained through time and modifications, it is suggested that this test be subjected for further study and necessary improvement if ever.
CCS Membrane Development at CIUDEN’s Technology Development Centre for CO2 Capture  [PDF]
Jose A. Gutierrez Bravo
Journal of Power and Energy Engineering (JPEE) , 2018, DOI: 10.4236/jpee.2018.612001
Abstract: CO2 concentration to the atmosphere has risen faster than ever in the last century. This is highly due to fossil fuel combustion which is the major anthropogenic CO2 source. Membrane technology is an important alternative for reliability, flexibility and economically competitiveness for Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) processes. The use of membranes has applicability to CCS technologies mainly for CO2, O2 or H2 separation, although most of the membrane studies for CO2/O2 production have been carried out at laboratory scale and will require a step further for commercial scale. This paper will present current membranes R & D needs when applied to CCS systems and CIUDEN capabilities for membrane technological development and testing under real conditions. It covers from O2 separation membrane integration in the process, and applied to the oxy-combustion CO2 capture, to post-combustion technologies for membrane CO2 separation, tested under real conditions or H2 production catalytic-membranes through gasification. At CIUDEN CCS facility important membrane evaluations can be carried out for the module integration, testing of materials performance and behavior under real conditions.

"Como a se?or natural": interpretaciones políticas del Cantar de Mio Cid
Bautista,Francisco;
Olivar , 2007,
Abstract: the article restates, from a new perspective, the closeness of the cantar de mio cid to some historical facts of its time, taking into account a central political concept in the text, which somehow emerges in relation to the twelfth-century bourgeois revolts: the concept of se?or natural, which appears five times in the poem. what suggests the appearance of the term, in some early twelfth-century documents, is that the concept of se?or natural was developed within the framework of the bourgeois revolts (with which catalan and molho link the space of the cantar, although it exactly represents a political position opposite to that of bourgeois and caballeros pardos ["brown knights"]), as a mechanism to defend the king's legitimacy and to disown the insurgents' ambitions. throughout the cantar, the function of the idea of se?or natural aims at the substitution of a previous order, exclusively ruled by vassallage, by a new one in which such idea equals the one of naturaleza ("nature"), and fosters a greater social justice. nature, now seen as the foundations of political organization, allows the cid to recover his position in the court, and avoids his mere existence as an independent prince.
Breve historiografía: Listas regias y Anales en la Península Ibérica (Siglos VII-XII)
Bautista, Francisco
Talia Dixit : Revista Interdisciplinar de Retórica e Historiografía , 2009,
Abstract: This article offers a critical survey of two minor medieval historiographical genres in the Iberian Peninsula: regnal lists and annals. Covering the various traditions within Iberia, it aims to reconstruct their evolution and meaning. For the regnal lists, it tries to identify the different redactions and to establish the relationship among the extant manuscripts, exploring its influence and its uses in Oviedo, León, Nájera, Compostela and Catalu a. The study of annals includes as well all the Iberian traditions, and brings new data and perspectives for rethinking their evolution and contexts. Some concluding remarks are intended to connect this research with the general development of the writing of history inmedieval Spain.

Bautista, Fernando
