Abstract: Este trabalho tem como objetivo analisar o processo de internacionaliza o, entre os anos de 1996 e 2010, de uma empresa catarinense de desenvolvimento de softwares de moda. Os fundamentos teóricos do artigo compreendem as teorias de internacionaliza o com especial aten o à escola nórdica de negócios internacionais, à abordagem das networks, além de pesquisas específicas sobre as empresas de software, born globals e empreendedorismo internacional. A pesquisa realizada utilizou a técnica do estudo de caso, qualitativo, exploratório e descritivo. Os dados foram coletados a partir de fontes primárias, tais como entrevistas semi-estruturas e questionário, e fontes secundárias. Os dados oriundos das entrevistas e dos documentos foram repetidamente revistos, codificados e analisados quanto ao seu conteúdo e significados, visando a identificar as categorias em aprecia o. Dentre os fatores observados que fogem às abordagens teóricas, s o citados os saltos das etapas descritas por estas e a n o preferência exclusiva por países de menor distancia psíquica. Foi relevante também a orienta o internacional dos empreendedores, cujas redes de relacionamento englobavam agentes internacionais que por vezes influenciaram o processo, corroborando a abordagem das networks.
Congruência (e incongruência) entre valores percebidos e nível gerencial: o caso de uma cooperativa de trabalho médico

Abstract: O objetivo deste artigo é o de apresentar os dados de uma pesquisa que buscou investigar a congruência dos valores organizacionais de uma cooperativa de trabalho médico entre os seus níveis gerenciais tendo em vista as transforma es por que passou a organiza o nos últimos anos. A pesquisa desenvolvida foi essencialmente qualitativa. A idéia principal do trabalho centrou-se nas percep es dos colaboradores de diferentes níveis gerenciais acerca dos valores organizacionais. A principal fonte de dados foram entrevistas semi-estruturadas coletadas no período de maio a julho de 2008. A popula o da pesquisa consistiu em dezenove pessoas que ocupavam cargos em níveis gerenciais no momento do desenvolvimento do trabalho. Os dados foram analisados por meio da análise de conteúdo das entrevistas. Foram identificados na pesquisa três valores percebidos pelos indivíduos: importancia dos clientes, importancia dos cooperados e importancia dos colaboradores, os quais foram desmembrados em subcategorias de valor. A pesquisa encontrou uniformidade na percep o das subcategorias de valores organizacionais vinculados à importancia dos clientes e à importancia dos cooperados. Entretanto, foram observadas incongruências no que tange à importancia dos colaboradores. Muitos dos valores encontrados refletem as transforma es em fun o da empresariza o da organiza o.

Abstract: this essay is the product of a reflection on the epistemology of complexity and its importance to the epistemology of business administration and organizational theory. it is proposed to assist in the understanding of its emergence, by indicating its potential contribution to the advance of the epistemology of management and organizational theory. to do so, it first addresses the emergence of a specific epistemology of administration and the need to take a new look at it. then, it summarizes epistemology and the complexity paradigm, and subsequently moves on to discuss the relationship and potential contributions of this knowledge to the advance of epistemological reflection in administration and in improving organizational theories. finally, it highlights some of the issues that arise from this reflection, by considering the possibility of adopting the epistemology of complexity for carrying out organizational studies from a critical perspective.

Abstract: this article has the purpose of verifying which approaches of the institutional perspective were predominant in the models of institutional evaluation proposed by the governments to the brazilian universities. this study can be characterized as qualitative, in which the focal points were verified through theoretical revision of the different aspects of the institutional theory, of the history of brazilian institutional evaluation, as well as the characterization of each evaluative model proposed by the governments since the 1970s. the study made evident that the institutional evaluation models during different governments presented a different institutional focus, with the predominance of the regulatory and normative focuses, although the cognitive is the one that permeates brazil's present institutional evaluation system.

Abstract: the objective of this paper is to analyze the factors that determine the environmental management strategies of industrial companies from santa catarina. primary data were obtained from a questionnaire replied to by 88 companies and quantitatively analyzed by means of multiple correspondence analysis. the study showed that the internal factors that determine environmental management strategies were employee commitment and managerial support and the external factors were society demands, government regulations, adjustment to normative standards and competition. the research also indicates there is a mimetic process which the most proactive companies are still unable to avoid, denoting that there exists a degree of homogeneity in these companies' interpretation of the institutional environment.

Abstract: O objetivo deste trabalho consiste em analisar os fatores determinantes das estratégias de gest o ambiental das empresas industriaiscatarinenses. Os dados primários foram obtidos por meio de um questionário respondido por 88 empresas e analisadosquantitativamente por meio da análise descritiva e de correspondência múltipla. O estudo demonstrou que os fatoresinternos determinantes das estratégias de gest o ambiental foram o comprometimento dos colaboradores e o apoio dos gestorese, os externos, as exigências da sociedade, as regulamenta es governamentais, a adequa o aos padr es normativos ea concorrência. A pesquisa também aponta para um mimetismo que ainda n o foi rompido pelas empresas mais proativas,denotando uma homogeneidade na interpreta o do ambiente institucional por parte das empresas.

Abstract: the objective of this article is to present a practical experience of the concepts used in the project management discipline, offered within a management graduate course. the article is related to the subject of problems, methods and didactic strategies inspired in the graduation learning experience. besides describing the working dynamics and the students' considerations, the article also presents the works executed since the first semester of 2005, in the management science center at the estate university of santa catarina - udesc. the results presented allows to infer that besides the apprenticeship, derivative from the practical experience in executing projects, the work developed in the course generate significant products that benefit the communities involved with the projects.
