Abstract: Our studies allowed us to establish that simulating coarctation of aorta in laboratory animals results in tone reduction of vessels carrying blood to the liver and from it and a subsequent development of their intima atrophy. In spite of that fact the number of vessels containing intimal musculature, muscularelastic sphincters and polypoid pulvini in the arterial bed flow increases and in the major outflowing veins, on the contrary, thinning of their muscular tori takes place. Appearance and functioning in the hepatic vessels of adaptive formations contributes to keeping up homeostasis at the microcirculatory level. With cardiac decompensation decreasing because of venous plethora, hypotonia and atrophy of the intima of the vessels responsible for the blood inflow to the liver and the outflow from it progress. Besides, the number of arteries and the rate of development of arteries with adaptive smooth muscle formations in the arteries, as well as in hepatic veins with muscular tori decreases dramatically. The reason of compensatory reaction failure is a long-term hypoxia leading to vessel and their adaptive formation sclerosis. The consequence of the exhaustion of the above-mentioned mechanisms is development of perisinusoidal fibrosis and depression of the transcapillary metabolism.

Abstract:

For a correspondence in question we establish a sequence of fundamental geometrical objects of the correspondence and find invariant normalizations of the first and second orders of all hupersurfaces under the correspondence. We single out main tensors of the correspondence and establish a connection between the geometry of point correspondences between n + 1 hypersurfaces of projective spaces and the theory of multidimensional (n + 1)-webs.

Abstract: As the wireless sensor networks are easily deployable, the volume of sensor applications has been increased widely in various fields of military and commercial areas. In order to attain security on the data exchanged over the network, a hybrid cryptographic mechanism which includes both symmetric and asymmetric cryptographic functions is used. The public key cryptographic ECC security implementation in this paper performs a matrix mapping of data’s at the points on the elliptical curve, which are further encoded using the private symmetric cipher cryptographic algorithm. This security enhancement with the hybrid mechanism of ECC and symmetric cipher cryptographic scheme achieves efficiency in energy conservation of about 7% and 4% compared to theasymmetric and symmetric cipher security implementations in WSN.

Abstract: A method for the estimation of Na2O and K2O in the feed materials of sinter plants and blast furnaces, intermediate products like sinter, slag generated in steel plants, using Inductively Coupled Plasma Emission spectrometer is developed. Superiority of this method compared to the conventional techniques with respect to accuracy and repeatability is illustrated. Validation of this method is ascertained by carrying out tests with certified reference materials.

Abstract: Dispersive soils which occur in many parts of the world are easily erodible and segregate in water pose serious problems of stability of earth and earth retaining structures. The mechanism of dispersivity of soils is reasonably well understood. However there is simple method to identify the dispersivity of the soils and even more difficult to quantify the dispersivity. Visual classification, Atterberg’s limits and particle size analysis do not provide sufficient basis to differentiate between dispersive clays and ordinary erosion resistant clays. Pinhole test and double hydrometer test are the only two tests that are in vogue to identify the dispersive soils. This paper explores the possibility of using other standard tests such as shrinkage limit and unconfined compressive strength tests to quantify the dispersivity of the soils. The rationale of using the methods and correlation between the dispersivity determined by various methods has been explained. It has been concluded that dispersivity ascertained from strength tests is more reliable.
