As in English, the combination between a quantifier and a basic adjective can be interpreted as a complex determiner, with a nuance of qualification in the background however.

Abstract: The starting point of this text is the wonder, amazement before a fact which seems so to say “natural”: the French speak French, the Germans speak German, Spanish … speak Spanish, the Polish, the Polish, but exception that proves the rule, the Belgians does not speak Belgian … (even if some French people think). Whence came this evidence? How is it thatEurope is almost the only continent where one thinks this way? For all other continents, the linguistic situation is different: the Cameroonians do not speak Cameroonian, but a multitude of languages, 239 to be exact. Official languages: French and English, but no language barrier! The concept of nation we feel as one of the keys for this answer.

Abstract: The recent history of European integration has been marked by the Treaty of Maastricht (1992) which established an economic union, monetary policy among the 15 EU countries. This treaty allows among others the free movement of goods, products, services,including the free movement of persons. Regarding education, note ERASMUS, SOCRATES, exchange programs for teachers and students are well known. The exchange of ideas proved fruitful, and the year 1996 was devoted to improving education and training in Europe, while 2001 was declared the European Year of Languages. There are obviously many differences between the education systems of European countries. You can see the shared values and common objectives, but also differences, it is probably important to retain, if we do not want uniformity.

Abstract: O ex-primeiro-ministro britanico, Tony Blair, teve um impacto profundo no Reino Unido. Ao fim de 10 anos à frente do Governo, Blair deixou a sua marca no país aos níveis económico, social, constitucional e diplomático. A análise das principais linhas de for a dos governos New Labour entre 1997 e 2007 mostra que a era Blair representa o abandono dos valores social-democratas tradicionalmente defendidos pelo Partido Trabalhista. Tony Blair transformed radically the United Kingdom in different policy areas. However, the changes brought by Blair between 1997 and 2007 represent a deviation from socialdemocratic values. This argument will be demonstrated with an analysis of New Labour’s economic, social, constitutional foreign policies.

Abstract: : The military rule in Brazil between 1964 and 1985 employed less violence than similar authoritarian regimes in neighbouring countries, and attempted to maintain a fa ade of legitimacy by allowing for a consented opposition. Nevertheless, Brazil was the last Latin American nation to establish a truth commission. Ever since the Amnesty Law was passed in 1979, authorities and citizens have both struggled to come to terms with the human rights violations committed in the past. The Brazilian government went as far as offering material reparations to the presumed victims without disclosing official information to establish what the reparations were being paid for. Is it better to remember or forget? This Exploration discusses transitional justice strategies, and documents recent developments in Brazil's political history. Resumen: Entre la verdad y la amnesia. Terrorismo de Estado, violaciones de derechos humanos y justicia transicional en Brasil Entre 1964 y 1985, el régimen militar en Brasil empleó menos violencia que regímenes autoritarios de países vecinos, e intentó mantener una fachada de legitimidad. Sin embargo, Brasil fue el último país latinoamericano en establecer una comisión de la verdad. Desde la aprobación de la Ley de Amnistía en 1979, tanto las autoridades como los ciudadanos luchan para hacer justicia a las violaciones de derechos humanos cometidas en el pasado. El gobierno brasile o llegó al extremo de ofrecer reparaciones materiales a las presuntas víctimas, sin revelar informaciones oficiales para establecer por qué las estaba pagando. Surgical treatment of pressure ulcers: a two-year experience

Abstract: background: pressure ulcers are defined as lesions of ischemic etiology in the skin or soft tissue. these lesions are secondary to increased external pressure and usually occur over bony prominences. classification of various stages of pressure ulcers is important for the development of therapeutic strategies. the fundamental surgical treatments are debridement and excision of underlying bursa and involved bone tissue, followed by tissue coverage. this study reports our experience in repairing pressure ulcers and analyzes patient characteristics, outcomes, and complications. methods: a total of 33 pressure ulcers were treated in 17 patients, the most prevalent of which was sacral ulcer. the development of pressure ulcers in hospitals accounted for 82% of the cases. treatment options included debridement, primary synthesis, random skin flaps, rhomboid skin flap, myocutaneous flaps of the gluteus maximus in v-y, classic fasciocutaneous flaps of fascia lata, fasciocutaneous flap of fascia lata in v-y, and posterior fasciocutaneous flaps of the thigh in v-y. results: complications occurred in 39% of cases. preoperative anemia was associated with complications. conclusions: pressure ulcers can be avoided in most cases, given sufficient knowledge of their pathogenesis and correct management of patients at risk. multi-professional and family participation is essential for the treatment of patients with pressure ulcers since complications, recurrence, and the incidence of new ulcers are common. complication risk factors such as anemia should be avoided in order to provide a better prognosis and proper closure of the ulcer.

Abstract: O presente artigo estuda a obra de Emmanuel Le Roy Ladurie como forma de avan ar na compreens o de duas quest es relativas à tradi o dos Annales: a abordagem da história política e a maneira pela qual a escola articulou os diversos elementos do todo social (econ mico, demográfico, social, etc.). This article focuses on Emmanuel Le Roy Ladurie’s oeuvre as an effort to further the understanding of two central issues to the Annales school: the approach of politics and the way in which the school articulated the different elements of society (economics, demography, social, etc.). El presente artículo estudia la obra de Emmanuel Le Roy Ladurie como una forma de avanzar en la comprensión de dos cuestiones relativas a la tradición historiográfica de la Escuela de los Annales: por un lado, el abordaje dado a la historia política y, por otro, la manera en que la Escuela entrelazó los diversos elementos del todo social (económico, demográfico, político, etc.).
