Inactivación del agshb por un extracto de phyllanthus orbicularis

Abstract: some species of phyllantus gendre have showed in vitro and in vivo activity to hepatitis b. in present paper, we assess inactivation capacity on agshb from aqueous extract of endemic phyllanthus orbicularis species. authors analyze 4 concentrations of extract (100, 50, 25, 12,5 mg/ml) as opposed to 34 positive sera to this marker. all concentrations assayed showed ability to decrease value of optic density in more than 60 % of sera studied, while percent of sera becoming negatives, was of 88,2 %, 97,1 % 50 %, and 8,8 %, respectively. in concentration of 12,5 mg/ml there was not statistically differences with regard to controls; while concentrations of 100 mg/ml and 50 mg/ml, which weren't statistically different each other, were the most effective ones. these results show that aqueous extract of p. orbicularis present one o some compounds, able to inactivate in vitro agshb.

Abstract: Algunas especies del género Phyllanthus han demostrado actividad frente al virus de la hepatitis B in vitro e in vivo. En este trabajo se evalúa la capacidad de inactivación sobre el AgsHB de un extracto acuoso de la especie endémica Phyllanthus orbicularis. Se analizaron 4 concentraciones del extracto (100, 50, 25, 12,5 mg/mL) frente a 34 sueros positivos a este marcador. Todas las concentraciones ensayadas mostraron la capacidad de disminuir el valor de densidad óptica en más del 60 % de los sueros tratados, mientras que el por ciento de sueros que se convirtieron a negativos fue de 88,2 %, 97,1 %, 50 % y 8,8 %, respectivamente. La concentración de 12,5 mg/mL no mostró diferencias estadísticas con respecto al grupo control; mientras que las concentraciones de 100 mg/mL y 50 mg/mL, las cuales no se diferencian estadísticamente entre sí, fueron las más efectivas. Estos resultados muestran que el extracto acuoso de P. orbicularis presenta uno o varios compuestos capaces de inactivar in vitro al AgsHB. Estudio comparativo de la capacidad inactivante de distintas colectas de la planta phyllanthus orbicularis

Abstract: the authors studied the inactivation of agshb by extracts from 2 harvests of phyllanthus orbicularis, carried out at different times of the year (march/94 and october/94) in 34 positive sera at this marker. these results were compared with those obtained for the harvest of august/93 to know the influence on harvesting time on the presence of the anti-hepatitis b activity of the plant. all the assayed concentrations (100, 50, and 254 mg/ml) reduced the absorbency values in sera, achieving a statistically significant seroconversion to negatives, excepting what happened for concentrations of 25 and 12,5 mg/ml of the harvest of october/94. the quantity of negative sera was proportional to the concentrations used. there were statistically differences between the harvests of august/93 and october/94. these results suggested that alterations may occur in the presence or concentration of the possible active components of p. orbicularis due to the influence of external factors, such as the climatic conditions.
Estudio comparativo de la capacidad inactivante de distintas colectas de la planta phyllanthus orbicularis

Abstract: Se estudió la inactivación del AgsHB por extractos de 2 colectas de Phyllanthus orbicularis realizadas en diferentes épocas del a o (Marzo/94 y Octubre/94) en 34 sueros positivos a este marcador, y se compararon estos resultados con los obtenidos para la colecta Agosto/93, con el objetivo de conocer la influencia de la época de colecta en la presencia de la actividad anti-hepatitis B de la planta. Todas las concentraciones ensayadas (100, 50 y 25 mg/mL) disminuyeron los valores de absorbancia en los sueros, y se logró una seroconversión a negativos estadísticamente significativa, con excepción de lo ocurrido para las concentraciones de 25 y 12,5 mg/mL de la colecta Octubre/94. La cantidad de sueros negativos fue proporcional a las concentraciones utilizadas. Se observaron diferencias estadísticas entre las colectas Agosto/93 y Octubre/94. Estos resultados sugirieron que podían ocurrir alteraciones en la presencia o concentración de los posibles componentes activos de P.orbicularis producto de la influencia de factores externos como lo son las condiciones climáticas. Efecto de Phyllanthus orbicularis sobre la viabilidad celular y el antígeno de superficie de la hepatitis B en células PLC/PRF/5

Abstract: the antiviral activity of phyllanthus orbicularis, an endemic cuban plant, against the hepatitis b virus was evaluated in vitro. the ability of the aqueous extract and 2 tannin- and flavonoid-rich chemical fractions (aqueous-acetic and buthanolic) to inhibit the hepatitis b surface antigen (hbsag) production was determined in plf/prc/5 cellas, a human hepatoma cell line that constitutively expresses this antigen. the aqueous extract was effective in inhibiting the hbsag at 24 and 48 hours of treatment, being the selective index (si) above 10, with concentration-dependent inhibitory activity. the evaluation of the inhibitory action of the two fractions from the plant proved that both were effective and their selective indexes were also higher than 10. these results indicated the inhibitory activity against hbsag of the plant and the presence of phenolic compounds that could reduce the antigen production. this may contribute to an in vivo antiviral action. this paper also corroborated the antiviral potential of the aqueous extract from phyllanthus orbicularis kunth, in addition to supporting the use of plc/prf/5 for future evaluations or trials directed towards assessing the anti-hepatitis b activity of various products. likewise, it paved the way for the detection of the chemical component(s) responsible for the plant's action against hepatitis b virus.

Abstract: La actividad antiviral de Phyllanthus orbicularis Kunth, planta endémica de Cuba, frente al virus de la hepatitis B, fue estudiada in vitro. Se determinó la capacidad del extracto acuoso y 2 fracciones químicas ricas en taninos y flavonoides (acético-acuosa y butanólica) para inhibir la producción o bloquear la detección del antígeno de superficie de la hepatitis B (AgsHB) en las células PLC/PRF/5, una línea celular de hepatoma humano que expresa este marcador constitutivamente. El extracto acuoso fue efectivo al inhibir el AgsHB producido a las 24 y 48 h con índices selectivos superiores a 10, con una acción inhibitoria dependiente de la concentración. La evaluación de la actividad de las fracciones obtenidas a partir de esta planta mostró que ambas eran efectivas con índices selectivos superiores a 10. Estos resultados sugieren que existe una actividad inhibitoria del antígeno estudiado y que esta planta posee algunos compuestos fenólicos que podrían actuar sobre el AgsHB y reducir su producción en las células, lo que indica una posible actividad in vivo. Este trabajo corrobora el potencial de acción antiviral del extracto acuoso de P orbicularis, además de avalar el empleo de la línea PLC/PRF/5 para futuras evaluaciones o ensayos encaminados a valorar la actividad antihepatitis B de diferentes productos. De igual forma abre el camino para la determinación de aquel o aquellos componentes químicos responsables de la actividad de la planta frente al virus de la hepatitis B. Antiviral activity of Ageratina havanensis and major chemical compounds from the most active fraction

Abstract: The antiviral activity of extracts obtained from Ageratina havanensis (Kunth) R.M.King & H.Rob., Asteraceae, against rabbit vesivirus (RaV) (Caliciviridae) and human herpes simplex viruses type 1 and 2 (HSV-1, HSV-2) (Herpesviridae) were analyzed, and the main metabolites from the most active extract were isolated and characterized. The antiviral properties were investigated by measuring the inhibition of viral-induced cytopathic effect in Vero cells. The strongest inhibitory effects were found for ethyl acetate extract from leaves (SI=5 for RaV and SI=5.4 for HSV-1). The crude ethyl acetate extract was further fractionated by chromatographic methods and the structures of isolated compounds were established through comprehensive spectroscopic analyses, including IR, 2D NMR and MS. Four flavonoids were identified: 5,4'-dihydroxy-7-methoxyflavanone (sakuranetin), 3,5,4'-trihydroxy-7-methoxyflavanone (7-methoxyaromadendrin), 4'-O-β-D-glucosyl-5,3'-dihydroxy-7-methoxyflavanone (4'-O-β-D-glucosyl-7-methoxy-eriodictyol) and 4'-O-β-D-glucosyl-5-hydroxy-7-methoxyflavanone (4'-O-β-D-glucosylsakuranetin). This is the first report on antiviral activity for Ageratina havanensis.

Abstract: El control social es un elemento natural de las dinámicas territoriales de los grupos sociales, es indispensable para la construcción de lo social. Sin embargo, como resultado del ejercicio de prácticas de control diversas desde los múltiples actuantes que intervienen en la relación sociedad y espacio, se generan algunos efectos tanto positivos como negativos que es necesario reconocer a la hora de planificar los territorios locales. Social control is a natural element of social group’s territorial dynamics; it is a requirement for the achievement of social function. However, it generates some positive and negative effects that should be recognized when local territories are planed; those effects are produced by a number of control practices generated by multiple ‘operators’ that are involved in the social - space relationship.

Abstract: this paper describes the dynamic model of the wheeled mini mobile robot built in the icimaf whose traction is achieved by means of two motors coupled to two lined plastic wheels with a rubber layer to facilitate its movement and a directional small castor wheel. the necessary jacobian structure is elaborated for the development of the dynamic model.the analysis of a special feature of these robots is included that is its nature non holonómic, in contrast with the robots manipulators, what gives place to a type of restriction of the movement. the elaboration of the dynamic model originated the employment of the lagrange's multipliers. for the obtaining dynamic equations the euler-lagrange' method is used.
