Abstract: the unknown stagmomantis parvidentata colombiana ariza & salazar, 2005 female is described from a specimen collected in ibagué. the female laid an ootheca from which eleven individuals were taken to be reared and from these only six mantidae could finish the cycle. data of duration in days for each instar, embryonic period, ninfal period, adult life period and longevity were recorded. females demonstrated to have longer cycles than males.

Abstract: International Investment Law is constantly changing; therefore the mechanisms available to solve its disputes have evolved. The International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) is the most important arbitral institution capable of administrate disputes between investors and member States of the Washington Convention. The annulment activity of ICSID awards has significantly increased in recent years. This paper explores all the variables affecting the annulment activity and suggests effective solutions in order to achieve the desirable Finality Principle in ICSID awards.

Abstract: A theoretical and methodological approach to social conflict management and analysis thatcan be applied to environmental conflicts is presented, as well as a set of specific environmentalconflict characteristics. Based on the bibliography analysed, the topic is revisited stressingthe different approach strategies used and the conceptualizations on conflicts that stem fromthem. The theoretical background that support these approaches and the ways conflicts areunderstood are used in order to propose a framework to understand and deal with social andenvironmental conflicts.

Abstract: Este artículo pretende esbozar algunas de las consideraciones metodológicas que hoy confluyen en el estudio de los ambientes virtuales, desde la opción etnográfica. De manera específica se quiere observar la forma en que, algunos investigadores han abordado el aspecto metodológico para estudiar los ambientes virtuales, líneas de evolución y posible contribución al conocimiento y mejoramiento de los procesos de e-learning. This article aims to outline some methodological considerations that merge together on the study of virtual learning environments, especially from the ethnographic perspective. Specifically, what we want to observe, is the way some researchers have approached the methodological aspect in order to study virtual learning environments, the evolution lines and the possible contribution they’ve made to knowledge and improvement of e-learning processes.

Abstract: Este trabajo es el inicio de una reflexión sobre momentos claves de la comunicación en la educación virtual. Se hace aquí un recorrido por la relación entre comunicación y tecnología, en donde se develan sus nexos y mutuas influencias, que luego dejan sentir sus efectos en el ámbito de la educación virtual en los nuevos entornos educativos virtuales. La segunda parte se centra en la identificación de momentos específicos de la comunicación en una experiencia educativa virtual. This article is the beginning of the reflection about key moments in the communication of virtual education. This is a journey between the concepts of communication and technology, where is possible to notice its links and mutual influences, which then let feel its effects in the education virtual environment. The second part of this article is centered in the identification of the specific moments of the communication in an educative virtual experience.
Incidencia de residuo gástrico alto en pacientes adultos que reciben soporte nutricional enteral en instituciones de alta complejidad de la ciudad de Medellín-Colombia

Abstract: high gastric residue (hgr) is a complication for patients receiving enteral nutrition support (ens), there is a debate about its efficacy and there is no consensus about the cutoff points that can define it. objective: to estimate the incidence of hgr for patients in intense care unit (icu) and for hospitalized patients just in a regular bed receiving ens from hospitals of medellín-colombia. methodology: this is a multicentric descriptive study, the data was obtained from clinical report sources of patients treated in icu and hospitalized who received ens. we explored socio-demographic, clinical, and nutritional variables related with the nutritional support. results: sixty eigth hundred patients were evaluated 62.3% in icu and 37.7% hospitalized in a regular bed. the incidence of hgr in icu was 24.3% and 3.9% for patients in regular bed. significant difference were found (p=0.0000) and rr was 6.2 times higher in patients from icu. age, diagnosis, access and support duration showed significant differences in the incidence of hgr in patients from uci. conclusion: the hgr is a recurrent complication of ens; the incidence was significantly higher in patients from uci compared with patients hospitalized in regular bed. further studies are necessary to determine the cutoff points, and techniques to assess gastric residue, and to evaluate the impact of the ens.

Abstract: results obtained from de record and classification of sherds belonging to the pukara of volcán tum1b3 midden are presented. this midden was dated between 410±70 bp and 860±70 bp. based on the undertaken study comparisons with previously analyzed tum1b1 and tum1b2 middens are established, in relation to the settlement occupation span and the location of these discard areas.

Abstract: this study is part of a larger research whose purpose was to evaluate the long term impact of a family integral health program, of a center of health of the sector of "la florida" in santiago. the main findings concerning the evaluation of the follow-up of the family functioning of the families in conditions of biopsychosocial risk taking part in the program are informed. a prospective quasi-experimental design of repeated measurements was used: pre intervention, post intervention and follow-up. the test "what is your family like" was administered to 31 mothers of the treated families. a significant improvement was noted in important factors of the family functioning, such as the communication and the family's problem resolution style, which is relevant as it is a protection factor of the health conditions of the individuals.
