Abstract:

In this my present study, I elaborate different types of management, management staffs, types of managers and leaders along with their capacities of work and their roles in any organization or institute to achieve the desired goal with the help of employees. A study found that most of the CEOs of the 62 major US-based companies spent at least 10 percent of their time in quality enhancement efforts. The critical importance of employees’ involvement in the quality process of an organization is based on the belief that the best process innovation ideas come from the people actually doing the job. Employee involvement in quality efforts can only come about when the employees know that the organization cares for them. Best companies do not just confine education and training to their shop floor employees and managers. Top executives are actively involved in the learning process themselves. Training is the key element of management system. For the smooth run of any organization we always need proper training for all employees including leadership authority.

Abstract:

Certain difficulties are inherent in the implementation of the improvement of the quality of service, particularly in the Design Management Department. There is often a difference on the issue of translating vision between senior management and Design Department for service improvement into effective, operational QI programs. Middle managers have a key role to play, but often they are overlooked which leads to undermining their efforts to improve the quality programs offered by senior management. This paper describes the first phase of a PhD research project to determine and develop the role of middle management in successful implementation of quality management programs. A framework for quality improvement implementation, including key issues of importance to middle managers regarding their proactive involvement in QI, is suggested. Finally, the initial implementation of the model in a company is discussed.

Abstract:

This paper discerns the socio-economic interests and environmental impacts generated by the projects of an industrial nature. Research has highlighted the traditional approach adoption that neglects the impact assessment of which environmental issues are causing in-depth imbalance between economic growth and environmental disaster threatening human life. The sustainable development principle requires the equitable distribution of the newly created wealth owing to economic growth in social and environmental fields. Hence, a new approach in accordance with the requirements of sustainable development should be recommended from the projects’ design until their terms. This paper discusses the major challenges in the context of reorient to construction projects both in a conception stage than in the execution progress according to the sustainable development principle. An approach to this case study is the research method advocated. Traceability analysis and especially the followed of products sold by CCTEC Co. Ltd. have enabled to bring out on the one hand the four projects induced by products CCTEC Co. Ltd.: residential, public sector, industry and trade the other hand to measure the performance attributed by these projects. Research results show that economic performance is largely award winning without much concern to social and environmental performance. This situation suggests the revision of product design and production traceability in accordance with the sustainability of the project.

Abstract: the purpose of this study was to identify the nursing scientific production on acute renal failure caused by post-catheterism iodized cardiac contrast, from 2002 to 2007, by analyzing its practical application. a critical analysis was further performed of the selected scientific production outlining nursing care. this study is a literature review of nursing articles, found through computerized search. out of the 47 articles found, ten were selected because they met the inclusion criteria. after the analysis of the articles, we checked the importance of the nurse's performance in the prevention of acute renal failure caused by contrasts. in addition, we noted the best nursing practices for prevention of acute renal failure caused by contrasts.
Eddy Current Transducer Dedicated for Sigma Phase Evaluation in Duplex Stainless Steel

Abstract: The paper describes a new transducer dedicated for evaluation of a duplex stainless steel (DSS). Different phases which exist in DSS have influence on mechanical as well as on electrical properties. Therefore, an eddy current transducer was utilized. In order to achieve high sensitivity, a differential type of the transducer was selected. The performance of the transducer was verified by utilizing the samples which had a different amount of sigma phase. 1. Introduction The duplex stainless steel (DSS) has been widely used in various industries, mainly because of good combination of mechanical properties and high corrosion resistance presented in this material [1, 2]. The DSS properties are determined by the presence of two phases in microstructure having very different physical properties: ferrite (δ) and austenite (γ). The austenite presents high electric conductivity and low magnetic permeability, while the ferrite presents low electric conductivity and high magnetic permeability. The best properties of DSS can be achieved when the phases δ and γ are in equal proportions. In many cases production techniques of DSS pipes involve welding operation, which may lead to microstructural changes in the base metal and heat-affected zone (HAZ). Exposition to temperatures ranging from 300°C to 1000°C can cause changes of balance of the phases and/or precipitation of deleterious phases. The most harmful of the deleterious phases that can be originated in the material microstructure is sigma (σ) phase. It presents higher than other phases volumetric fraction. Its precipitation causes chromium depletion in the adjacent regions, impairing dramatically mechanical and corrosion properties of the material [1–4]. The presence of σ phase also causes changes of the electromagnetic properties of DSS. The ferrite is ferromagnetic while austenite and sigma phase are paramagnetic. Thus, an increase of the sigma phase and the resulting decrease of the ferrite phase volumetric fraction render the material behavior more paramagnetic [5]. This phenomena motivates to use an eddy current testing (ECT) method for the detection of material degradation caused by an increased presence of the sigma phase. 2. Eddy Current Transducer and Measuring System In the preliminary experiments various configurations of the transducers were considered and tested. In order to distinguish small differences of the electric parameters, the transducer operating in a differential mode was selected. Abstract: this study aimed to identify the frequency of errors occurring in intravenous medication preparation and to discuss the possible consequences of these errors to patients. this cross-sectional, observational survey was carried out in three units of one hospital, observing 365 intravenous drug doses prepared by 35 technicians. data was collected in january and february of 2008. errors rates above 70.00% were found in all units. the errors were grouped into the categories: needle exchange, ampoule disinfection, cleaning the countertop, wrong time, and wrong dose. the error rates were higher than 50.00% in all categories, except for wrong dose (6.58%). the microbiological safety of the procedure may have been affected, increasing the chance of patient harm in cases of solution contamination. preparation at the wrong time, applying an hour early, occurred with tenoxicam and dipyrone. the stability of the medication may have been compromised, causing changes to the expected therapeutic results, opening further possibilty for undesirable consequences for patients.
