Law and Justice on TV. The Wire vs. CSI and Ally McBeal La legge e la giustizia in TV. The Wire a confronto con CSI e Ally McBeal
Gianluigi Rossini
Between , 2012,
Abstract: The aim of this paper is to analyse the ways in which law is represented in the celebrated TV series The Wire, broadcasted in United States between 2002 and 2008. The analysis focuses particularly on the thematization of the relationship between the concept of law and that of justice, that is between 'positive law' and 'natural law'. This theme is pursued in the context of American television series of great success such as CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (CBS, 2000-) and Ally McBeal (Fox, 1997-2002) . The comparison highlights the way in which in The Wire the terms of the problem are completely eroded through the representation of a sort of 'disappearance of justice'. In this series the natural law becomes insignificant both because it is no more the point of reference of the actions activated by the institutions, and because an informed, in-depth and not prejudicial gaze on the social reality of the contemporary metropolis brings into question the very idea of a justice absolute and distanced from the contingent circumstances.
Christine Baron e Manfed Engel (Eds.), Realism/Anti-Realism in 20th Century Literature
Gianluigi Rossini
Between , 2012,
Vittorio Coletti, Romanzo mondo. La letteratura nel villaggio globale
Gianluigi Rossini
Between , 2011,
The Universe at Lattice-Fields  [PDF]

Journal of High Energy Physics, Gravitation and Cosmology (JHEPGC) , 2017, DOI: 10.4236/jhepgc.2017.34060
Abstract: We formulate the idea of a Universe crossing different evolving phases \"\" where in each phase one can define a basic field at lattice structure (Uk) increasing in mass (Universe-lattice). The mass creation in Uk has a double consequence for the equivalence “mass-space”: Increasing gravity (with varying metric) and increasing space (expansion). We demonstrate that each phase is at variable metric beginning by open metric and to follow a flat metric and after closed. Then we define the lattice-field of intersection between two lattice fields of base into universe \"\" and we analyse the universe in the Nucleo-synthesis phase (intersection-lattice \"\" ) and in the that of recombination (intersection-lattice \"\" ). We show that the phase \"\" is built on the intersection of the lattices of the proton (Up) and electron (Ue) or \"\" . We show UH to be at variable metric (open in the past, flat in the present and closed in the future). Then, we explain some fundamental aspects of this universe UH: Hubble’s law by creating the mass-space in it, its age (13.82 million of Years) as time for reaching the flat metric phase and the value of critic density. In last we talk about dark universe lattice \"\", having hadronic nature, and calculating its spatial step \"\" and its density in present phase of \"\" .
Variational Principle in an Expanding Universe  [PDF]
Giovanni Guido, Gianluigi Filippelli
Journal of High Energy Physics, Gravitation and Cosmology (JHEPGC) , 2018, DOI: 10.4236/jhepgc.2018.41016
Abstract: In this paper we complete the relativistic cosmological theory because we extend the variational principle including variations of metric induced by expansion of the space. We will show that the mass not only curves Space and Time but also generates them: we’ll speak of the principle of mass-space equivalence. Then the increasing mass generates variations of metric as also the space increasing or expansion. So, the dark component of the mass generates additional gravity around galaxies as well as additional space, which generates a pressure (dark energy) accelerating the galaxies in their move away. All this could explain the cosmic coincidence (Ωdm/Ωde ≈ 1). To talk about the increasing mass is equivalent to speak of mass creation in universe, causing the variation of the tensor (T) mass-energy tensor of all component fields. We conjecture that its variation is caused by mass-energy flow comes out from a physical system (Θ) composed by set of uncoupled quantum oscillators (structure of no-field) in vacuum state. All this allows formulating a variational principle which generates the cosmological equation with the (Λ) parameter and a tensor T* with variable mass density, where T*(T, Θ).
Familias interculturales en Espa a: análisis de la satisfacción vital Intercultural Families In Spain: An Analysis of Life Satisfaction

One of the most relevant phenomena, given their size, complexity and relevance, are the so-called mixed marriages or intercultural marriage. However, there are few studies about the integration of these families in the community and their quality of life. The objective of this paper is the analysis of a new family configuration through the social and relational dimensions as they are able to predict their life satisfaction. It uses quantitative methodology. The questionnaire was completed by a sample of 95 families selected through intercultural snow ball method and validated scales were used to analyze the different variables involved. The differences between Spaniards and foreigners are significant only in relation with the social support system. Regression analyses show a cause-effect relation on life satisfaction. In both cases, the relational and social dimensions predict life satisfaction. In the case of Spaniards, the explanatory variables are marital satisfaction, satisfaction with partner support and satisfaction with the support of Spanish friends (F = 20.5, p <.01). Fore
Time dependent quantum generators for the Galilei group
Gianluigi Filippelli
Mathematics , 2014, DOI: 10.1063/1.3621518
Abstract: In 1995 Doebner and Mann introduced an approach to the ray representations of the Galilei group in ($1+1$)-dimensions, giving rise to quantum generators with an explicit dependence on time. Recently (2004) Wawrzycki proposed a generalization of Bargmann's theory: in his paper he introduce phase exponents that are explicitely dependent by 4-space point. In order to find applications of such generalization, we extend the approach of Doebner and Mann to higher dimensions: as a result, we determine the generators of the ray representation in ($2+1$) and ($3+1$) dimensions. The differences of the outcoming formal apparatus with respect to the smaller dimension case are established.
Categorical Proof Theory of Co-Intuitionistic Linear Logic
Gianluigi Bellin
Computer Science , 2014, DOI: 10.2168/LMCS-10(3:16)2014
Abstract: To provide a categorical semantics for co-intuitionistic logic one has to face the fact, noted by Tristan Crolard, that the definition of co-exponents as adjuncts of coproducts does not work in the category Set, where coproducts are disjoint unions. Following the familiar construction of models of intuitionistic linear logic with exponential"!", we build models of co-intuitionistic logic in symmetric monoidal left-closed categories with additional structure, using a variant of Crolard's term assignment to co-intuitionistic logic in the construction of a free category.
Extraskeletal effects of vitamin D
Maurizio Rossini
Reviews in Health Care , 2011, DOI: 10.7175/rhc.252287-100
Abstract: In the last years we observed an increasing number of publications about the vitamin D, due to its recognised therapeutic actions and to the widespread hypovitaminosis D. In addition to the well known skeletal benefits, vitamin D can have multiple effects on other tissues. Muscular apparatus: hypovitaminosis D is associated with myopathy, sarcopenia, muscular strength reduction and increased risk of falls. The vitamin D supplementation increases the muscle functionality indexes. Cardiovascular system: low levels of vitamin D are related to increased levels of cardiovascular risk factors, heart failure, stroke, and cardiovascular mortality, while a good vitamin D status is associated with a decreased incidence of cardiovascular diseases. Diabetes and metabolic syndrome: a good vitamin D status is related to a decreased incidence of type 2 diabetes and metabolic syndrome; a vitamin D supplementation in the early childhood reduces (nearly 30%) the risk of having type 1 diabetes. Cancer: vitamin D deficit is associated with breast, colorectal cancer and melanoma relapses. Low and high levels of 25-hydroxy-vitamin D (25(OH)D) are related to a higher neoplastic mortality. Infectious diseases: hypovitaminosis D is associated with higher incidence of upper respiratory tract infections and worse interferon response in chronic hepatitis C. Vitamin D supplementation decreases the risk of having type A influence. Rheumatic diseases: in rheumatoid arthritis low serum levels of vitamin D metabolites are related to a higher disease activity, while a good vitamin D status is associated with a higher probability of remission or response to therapy and a lower degree of disability. Neurologic diseases: associations between vitamin D deficit and risk of multiple sclerosis, depression, cognitive deficits, and Parkinson’s disease have been reported. There is evidence of the extraskeletal effects of vitamin D, but most derive from observational studies: clinical trials are required the better to determine the therapeutic role of vitamin D.
