Psychology (PSYCH) , 2018, DOI: 10.4236/psych.2018.92017
Abstract: This study examined whether the impact of consumers’ self-construal on purchase intention toward cause-related marketing (CRM) goods was indirectly affected by empathy and moral identity. A total of 524 valid samples were collected, after which the moderated mediation hypotheses were tested using Process software. The research data were segmented into three score groups to compare the differences between the high score and low score groups. The empirical results revealed the following findings. 1) Moral identity internalization and symbolization resulted in positive moderation effects on the direct impact of interdependent self-construal on purchase intention toward CRM products. However, under the mediating effect of empathy, the “low/low” and “high/high” groups from moral identity internalization and symbolization each produced positive and negative moderation effects. 2) Regarding the direct impact of moral identity internalization and symbolization on independent self-construal toward purchase intention toward CRM products, the “low/low” and “low/high” groups from internalization and symbolization produced positive moderation effects. However, under the mediating effect of empathy, only the “low/low” groups from internalization and symbolization produced significant positive mediating effects. Within the consumers’ self-construal and its impact on purchase intention toward CRM products, the mediation role of empathy and moderated mediation role of the two moral identity dimensions in the influence relationship were constructed. In terms of practical aspects, companies are recommended to conduct market segmentation based on consumers’ moral identities and develop distinct marketing strategies accordingly. Future studies are recommended to explore the factors behind the impact of these two groups from moral identity on purchase intention toward CRM products.
EPQ Policies Considering the Holding Cost of Raw Materials with Two-Level Trade Credit under Alternate Due Date of Payment and Limited Storage Capacity  [PDF]

The traditional Economic Production Quantity (EPQ) model focused on production process, used the ordering cost that includes relevant costs during the pre-production process. But, the ordering cost comprises the holding of raw materials that would affected by other factors would increase the total relevant cost, it cannot simply use the ordering cost to cover all. Therefore, this paper presents a new inventory model by considering the holding of raw materials under conditions of two-level trade credit under alternate due date of payment and limited storage capacity. According to cost-minimization strategy it develops four theorems to characterize the optimal solutions. Finally, it executes the sensitivity analysis and investigates the effects of the parameters in the annual total relevant costs.

The economic production quantity model is widely used as a decision making tool. However, climate change and energy supply instability have raised the transport costs of raw materials, thereby affecting production costs. Therefore, this paper presents a new model that considers the holding costs of raw materials under conditions of two-level trade credit and limited storage capacity. Four theorems are developed to characterize the optimal solutions according to a cost-minimization strategy. Finally, a sensitivity analysis is executed to investigate the effects of the various parameters on ordering policies and the annual total relevant costs.

Factors Influencing the Use of Mobile Financial Services: Evidence from Taiwan  [PDF]

Modern Economy (ME) , 2014, DOI: 10.4236/me.2014.513113
Abstract: Mobile service innovation has become a critical issue in the financial sectors. Currently, many banks in Taiwan have developed various mobile services for their customers. However, mobile services in financial sectors are different from Internet services because of the mobility. First, mobile services enable mobile extensions of existing electronic services and new services that are valuable to users on the move. Second, most people have their own, personal mobile devices in the hands, but they may not have the computers with them anytime. Although consumers’ technology acceptance has been examined in the context of e-commerce, mobile financial services are gained scant attention. Thus, this study aims to explore the factors influencing the use of mobile financial services (MFS). We conducted a qualitative research in depth, and investigated a renowned bank in Taiwan which developed various MFS for customers. The findings reveal that perceived mobility and personal habit are two important antecedents influencing the use of MFS. Mobility positively affects perceived ease-of-use and perceived usefulness, which in turn influence the use of MFS. Furthermore, personal habit positively affects the use of MFS.

Abstract: We introduce a variational problem on a Sobolev space associated with an eigenvalue problem for a magnetic flux, characterizing the quasi-static equilibrium of plasma. We obtain the existence and regularity results of a weak solution. Topological arguments – topological degree, ensure the control of a unique solution depending on a parameter – magnetic permeability of a total ionized gas and on the eigenvalues of an associated Dirichlet problem. The control on a technological parameter to the process initiation ensures equilibrium stabilization and controlled functionality of the machine.
Using Modified IPA to Improve Service Quality of Standard Hotel in Taiwan  [PDF]

Journal of Service Science and Management (JSSM) , 2014, DOI: 10.4236/jssm.2014.73020

The purpose of this paper is to establish the modified IPA (Importance-Performance Analysis) methodology for service quality characteristics and improvements in the hotel industry. Traditional IPA methodology has its shortcoming as it assumes that importance-performance is a normal distribution. However, if that is not the case, the traditional IPA model cannot correctly identify the priority for improvements. Therefore, this paper runs Box-Cox Transformation to convert data into normal distributions, in order to perform statistical analyses and comparisons on a like- for-like basis. This approach avoids the potential problem of the IPA model but maintains its simple and intuitive decision-making model. This paper examines standard hotels and performs literature reviews and experts’ interviews in order to establish the list of service quality characters for the hotel industry. It also conducts a survey to illustrate the application and benefits of the modified IPA method, so as to identify the key characteristics of the service quality and the ways to improve service quality of standard hotels.

Journal of Service Science and Management (JSSM) , 2014, DOI: 10.4236/jssm.2014.73021

The purpose of this study was to establish a new methodology for customer satisfaction analysis by using Taguchi Signal-to-Noise Ratio to assess service quality performance to effectively improve customer satisfaction. This study applied the Taguchi Signal-to-Noise Ratio methodology to process the Ordered Categorical Data, and took into account simultaneously the impact of average and variance as well as satisfaction and dissatisfaction information to correctly identify the improvement direction of quality attributes. With Taiwan’s standard hotel as the research subject, this study discussed the methodology and benefits of applying Taguchi Signal-to-Noise Ratio to customer satisfaction analysis.

Abstract: We obtain the initial phase space distribution after relativistic heavy ion collision by the CGC shattering method incorporating the uncertainty principle and solve the semi-classical Boltzmann equation which includes the gluon radiation processes. We present as a function of time the attenuation rate of high $p_T$ partons, which have transverse momenta over 6 $GeV/c$, in the medium which is formed after relativistic heavy ion collision. We calculate the elliptic flow as a function of an impact parameter, time and transverse momentum and also present the polar anisotropy, which gives the initial condition for color filamentation.
The study of Anisotropic Flows at LHC with purturbative simulation

Physics , 2013, DOI: 10.3938/jkps.65.599
Abstract: We study the harmonic flows, for example, the directed, elliptic, third and fourth flow of the system of partons formed just after relativistic heavy ion collisions. We calculate the minijets produced during the primary collisions using standard parton distributions for the incomming projectile and target nucleus. We solve the Boltzmann equations of motion for the system of minijets by Monte Carlo method within only the perturbative sector. Based on the flow data calculated, we conclude the simulation can not explain the experimental results at RHIC and LHC so that the nonperturbative sector plays much more important roles even from the earliest stage of heavy ion collisions.
