?Ha ampliado la liberalización comercial la desigualdad económica entre los estados mexicanos?: Un análisis desde la perspectiva econométrico-espacial

Economía mexicana. Nueva época , 2011,
Abstract: what are the empirical effects of trade liberalization? this question is debated nowadays, in both an international and a regional scope. this work analyzes the economic inequality among mexican states by means of a convergence methodology and spatial econometrics techniques. results indicate a positive association between spatial autocorrelation and convergence, which has been diminishing during recent years. we also estimate the magnitude and direction of this relationship, and find that the lack of convergence agrees with trade openness in the country. spatial dependence indexes point out a consistent low income cluster in the south of the country, which is worrying.

Abstract: the monitoring of the water quality was done in the central valleys of oaxaca state, finding very high concentrations of calcium, magnesium and carbonate in the waters from of deep wells that are located in the periphery of the river atoyac, unlike the water that comes from the high parts of etla valley, where there are maximum hardnesses of 140ppm, so for the distribution of both effluent to the city of oaxaca and neighboring municipalities, suggesting a further dilution of the water treatment plant in "fortin" in the city of oaxaca, that after determining the langelier index and other, with software found in the universal bibliography. the results indicate that water from the river atoyac, have corrosive properties. in laboratory doing tests, the best dilution was 60 to 40% by volume, of water from etla valley and the periphery of the river respectively. langelier index was converted to a negative, indicating saturation with respect to calcium carbonate (caco3) and will tend to dissolve, avoiding the deterioration of the sanitary units.
Water Hardness as Basic Indicator the Presence Fouling in Domestic Sanitary Facilities

Abstract: The fabrication process for ZnO doped varistor blocks with Sb2O3/ Bi2O3 to medium tension of 13 000 V to 34 000 V, and was optimised in terms of a starting composition and firing temperatures with amounts for Sb2O3/ Bi2O3 ratios of 1.7 by dry pressing, and fired in the temperature 1150°C ± 2oC. The microstructure characteristics were analysed across the surface of the varistor blocks in order to evaluate their microstructure homogeneity. Their current-voltage I-V and energy handling capabilities were also determined. Characteristics and electrical properties of the varistor blocks are discussed.
Hypothalamic neurohormones and immune responses

Frontiers in Integrative Neuroscience , 2013, DOI: 10.3389/fnint.2013.00056
Abstract: The aim of this review is to provide a comprehensive examination of the current literature describing the neural-immune interactions, with emphasis on the most recent findings of the effects of neurohormones on immune system. Particularly, the role of hypothalamic hormones such as Thyrotropin-releasing hormone (TRH), Corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH) and Gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH). In the past few years, interest has been raised in extrapituitary actions of these neurohormones due to their receptors have been found in many non-pituitary tissues. Also, the receptors are present in immune cells, suggesting an autocrine or paracrine role within the immune system. In general, these neurohormones have been reported to exert immunomodulatory effects on cell proliferation, immune mediators release and cell function. The implications of these findings in understanding the network of hypothalamic neuropeptides and immune system are discussed.

Journal of Environmental Protection (JEP) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/jep.2013.45048
Abstract:

The waste derived from Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) is of interest now worldwide, in some countries due to the rapid technological development and in others due to technological dependence through the acquisition of second hand equipment. Therefore it is necessary to implement strategies for the sustainable management of electrical and electronic equipment at the end of its useful life. This paper presents the results of an investigation that was conducted in a city located in the Northwest of Mexico, which seeks to understand the management practices of household WEEE generators. A survey was applied to a representative sample of the population with a confidence level of 90%. Six home appliances were quantified and it was found that approximately 21% of them are disposed directly as part of the household flow of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW), while 79% are storage for a latter sale, repair or reuse. The results obtained support the need to develop evaluations and to implement possible scenarios for the sustainable management of Electrical and Electronic Waste.

Process and dynamics of traditional selling wild edible mushrooms in tropical Mexico

Abstract: We visited 25 markets of 12 different settlements in the states of Oaxaca, Tabasco and Veracruz and collected information by participant observation as well as by 291 non-structured and semi-structured interviews.Mushroom selling was observed in four towns in Oaxaca and in two in Tabasco. Women represented 81.82% of sellers, while indigenous people (Chinantecos, Chontales, Ch'oles and Zoques) comprised 68.18%. Mushroom commercialization took place in secondary mobile markets and only in peasant stands. Mushroom collectors gather the resource in places with secondary vegetation, farmed areas and cattle fields. Because of land tenure restrictions mushroom sellers did not normally collect mushrooms themselves. In Oaxaca, we observed economic dynamics not based on capitalism, such as exchange, reciprocity and barter. The sale of some wild edible mushrooms, the large amounts of commercialization of Schizophyllum commune, the complicated intermediary process, as well as the insertion of mushrooms into different informal economic practices are all evidence of an existent mycophily in a sector of the population of this region of the Mexican tropics. Among our informants, urban mestizo people were mycophobic, rural mestizo people were non-mycophilic and indigenous people were true mycophilic. Llevamos a cabo observación participa

Acta zoológica mexicana , 2010,
Abstract: we evaluated the use of seven filtration springs by vertebrates during the critical stages of the dry season. using camera traps from may to june 2009 on a fragmented tropical subdeciduous forests on the michoacan coast, we identified 20 vertebrate species including three endangered felids. the number of species identified during the study, provides evidence that these water supplies may be a key resource for the survival of many species on the remaining fragments of tropical subdeciduous forests during the dry season.
