Classification, Identification, and Manipulation of Relevant Factors for Adaptation and Behavioural Adjustment from a Psychological Point of View  [PDF]
Gerardo Ortiz
Psychology (PSYCH) , 2014, DOI: 10.4236/psych.2014.513162
Abstract: Generally, the study of animal welfare is based on the identification and promotion of speciestypical behaviors of the individual or target group. The adjustment to new conditions (i.e. captivity) is easier for some species, while for others it may be very difficult or even impossible. The adjustment to captive conditions is a basic element for the development of conservation strategies (i.e. translocation, introduction, and reintroduction) and can be measured by different variables related to an animal’s psychological well-being. From a psychological point of view, we assume that organisms can adjust their behavior in correspondence to changes in their environment, adjustment that is enabled by an ecological contact medium (e.g. Ribes, 2007; Ribes & Perez-Almonacid, 2011). Under this assumption, we propose a methodology that allows the classification, identification and manipulation of relevant factors for an individual’s adjustment to different conditions (i.e. freedom and captivity) and a more rational handling of organisms and their specific life condition. The main elements of this methodology are: 1) adaptive and survival circumstances; 2) description of ecological milieu; 3) interactive processes (i.e. intra-individual, inter-individual, and inter-individual dependence); and 4) interaction-situation relationship.

Abstract: We consider the Cauchy-Dirichlet problem in for a class of linear parabolic partial differential equations. We assume that is an unbounded, open, connected set with regular boundary. Our hypotheses are unbounded and locally Lipschitz coefficients, not necessarily differentiable, with continuous data and local uniform ellipticity. We construct a classical solution to the nonhomogeneous Cauchy-Dirichlet problem using stochastic differential equations and parabolic differential equations in bounded domains. 1. Introduction In this paper, we study the existence and uniqueness of a classical solution to the Cauchy-Dirichlet problem for a linear parabolic differential equation in a general unbounded domain. Let be the differential operator where , , and . The Cauchy-Dirichlet problem is where is an unbounded, open, connected set with regular boundary. In the case of bounded domains, the Cauchy-Dirichlet problem is well understood (see [1, 2] for a detailed description of this problem). Moreover, when the domain is unbounded and the coefficients are bounded, the existence of a classical solution to (1.2) is well known. For a survey of this theory see [3, 4] where the problem is studied with analytical methods and [5] for a probabilistic approach. In the last years, parabolic equations with unbounded coefficients in unbounded domains have been studied in great detail. For the particular case when , there exist many papers in which the existence, uniqueness, and regularity of the solution is studied under different hypotheses on the coefficients; see for example, [6–17]. In the case of general unbounded domains, Fornaro et al. in [18] studied the homogeneous, autonomous Cauchy-Dirichlet problem. They proved, using analytical methods in semigroups, the existence and uniqueness of a solution to the Cauchy-Dirichlet problem when the coefficients are locally , with bounded, and functions with a Lyapunov type growth; that is, there exists a function such that and for some , It is also assumed that has a boundary. Schauder-type estimates were obtained for the gradient of the solution in terms of the data. Bertoldi and Fornaro in [19] obtained analogous results for the Cauchy-Neumann problem for an unbounded convex domain. Later, in [20] Bertoldi et al. generalized the method to nonconvex sets with boundary. They studied the existence, uniqueness, and gradient estimates for the Cauchy-Neumann problem. For a survey of this results, see [21]. Using the theory of semigroups, Da Prato and Lunardi studied, in [22, 23], the realization of the elliptic operator , in the

Abstract: the two works presented (one built, the other at project stage) correspond to an ever more frequent operation in our world. intervention in an existing building -in this case, on two different scales and in different programs- finishes up as the complete opposite of the tabula rasa of opportunity the new world was supposed to offer
Arturo Andrés Roig, lector de Spinoza
Estudios de filosof?-a pr??ctica e historia de las ideas , 2010,
Abstract: the spinoza conatus category occupies a central place in the architectural discourse of practical philosophy of arturo andres roig. this is a preliminary basis of practical knowledge and moral figure that offers originating explanation, as the conatus concerns a primary dimension of entities. its theoretical status is not reduced only to recognizing anthropological aspect among others, but acquires a backbone in the set of strategies to substantiate the idea of "emerging moral" given by our philosopher. we believe that the ontological status is an instance of conatus determinant of ethical and political layout of arturo roig. spinoza said turning so clearly, however, is not taken sufficiently into account in some specialized readings in argentina. accordingly, we intend first to highlight the constructive role that spinoza has in the mind of the teacher, keeping to a treatment of texts in which the conceptual force becomes more visible, without excluding certain other treatments. this will allows us , in a second level historiographical analysis, to revalue the reception of spinoza in the writings of arturo roig.
Aportes comunicacionales para un debate sobre ciudadanía y migra
Trabajo y sociedad , 2012,
Abstract: this paper presents a set of descriptions and interpretations ofthe ápe paraguay experience, a political-communicational project carried outin argentina and paraguay by a group of paraguayan migrants since 2008 which has gradually grown due to the inclusion of members from other parts of the world. it is their political statement, their website content and also their internet radio broadcasting and other initiatives using and not using information and communication technologies that has led us to put forward a number of concerns about the way in which citizenship is currently produced and the political nature of the organization of paraguayan migrants in different parts of the planet these concerns have allowed us to link the organizational aspects of contemporary paraguayan migrants with the production and demand of emerging identities and the use of media as a form of construction of legitimate subjects there where the history of paraguay has created remoteness and punishment. in short, from some contributions of cultural anthropology and the field of communication sciences, we are trying to recover some initiatives for the production of citizenship that bring to light both the inner conflictivityof the migration processes and the migrants′ communicational struggle in their demands for the access to rights.
Clases y territorio: construcción de subjetividades en los movimientos sociales
Av?? , 2009,
Abstract: the path of social conflict during the last years in argentina shows significant changes on the bonds between the unemployed population and the state. as a consequence, alterations in modalities and spaces of organization and survival among the popular sectors have occurred. related with this, the territory begins to be outlined as the privileged scene where different actions happen. besides, it acts as anchorage of subjectivities and as a catalyst of shared problems. the present article proposes to analyze the senses emerged from the concepts of "class" and "territory", understanding the semantic indexes and symbolic marks, the displacements produced in the ordinary life in the neighborhood and the actors and problems involved. in order to reach this objective, we analyze interviews realized to some picketers movements in córdoba, using the tools provides by the analysis of content.
2007: El Mercosur en el cruce de caminos
Cuadernos del Cendes , 2006,
Abstract: this essay describes the political crossroads at which stands nowadays the process of regional integration in mercosur. to begin with, the inadequacy of the ?phoenian? and merely commercial first ?mercosurian model? of the nineties is analyzed, together with the inter-governmentalist institutionality functional to it. second, it addresses the changes in the regional policies and the institutional layout of the group agenda from 2003 on, in parallel with the advent of new governments in the member states. finally it explores some of the issues that hindered the materialization of that new mercosurian model, as well as the more immediate problems faced by the block, reviewing what the author considers the focal points of the most contemporary agenda in the integration process.
Las prácticas profesionales en la carrera de Relaciones Públicas
Cuadernos del Centro de Estudios en Dise?±o y Comunicaci?3n. Ensayos , 2011,
Abstract: in this article the author refects about the importance of the implementation of professional practices in the public relations career in order to offer a valued experience in the preparation of futures professionals, as well as an approach to the reality of the management that is the ideal complement for the theoretical formation. in this sense, the author invites the professionals and companies to be open to offer this possibility to those who are forming, and exemplifes with the case of its own radio program "we speak of public relations" of fm palermo, that for more than two years had been offering complementary practices after the radial experience.
Rastros de Hierro: Notas para un itinerario de la recepción de Hans Freyer en la Argentina
Cuyo , 2010,
Abstract: the article offers a preliminary bibliographical report on the itinerary of the reception of hans freyer in argentina. the objective is to shed light on a figure of the german thought of first half of the xx century that influenced many argentine intellectuals of the period. however that influential effect is hidden in the history of the argentine ideas, given its problematic doctrinaire and ideological inscription in the politics of philosophy and social sciences.
