INVESTIGACIONES SOBRE LA PATOGéNESIS DEL CARBóN DEL MAíZ, DEL CARBóN DEL SORGO Y DEL CARBóN DEL ARROZ
Malaguti,Gino;
Agronomía Tropical , 2003,
Abstract: results of observations and tests performed in venezuela during previous years, in relation to pathogenicity of three cereal srnut fungi are given; a) com smut fungus, ustilago maydis, is acrial and localizad and infects young and developing tissues in any above ground part of the plant, b) sorghurn smut fungus, sphacelotheca sorghi, is stationary and penetrates only thru the embryo during germination, staying inside the plant and revealing itself in the entire panicle after flowering and c) rice grain smut fungus, tilletia (=neuvossia) barelayana, sometimes only partially infeets some rice grain through the flowers. emst's opinions on maize smut pathogenicity process are discussed by the author.
Antes da Queda do Muro, além dele e sem ele: A estética emergente em Die neuen Leiden...
Malaguti, Simone;
Pandaemonium Germanicum , 2010, DOI: 10.1590/S1982-88372010000100007
Abstract: this article is an analysis of the novel die neuen leiden des jungen w. (1973) in the light of its intertextuality with goethe's, defoe's and salinger's texts. it has been suggested that plenzdorf's novel creates a stylistic and ideological world, which is instigating for the literary paradigms of the socialist realism of the 70s in east germany. twenty years after the fall of the berlin wall, this created world in the novel seems to be up-to-date or even paradigmatic for the current representation of german democratic republic cultural memory in literature and film. the article then relies on an analysis of intertextuality and intermediality as a method to approach processes of transformation. the different processes inherent to the novel and its pretexts have been reported.

Abstract: Disabled men and women in modern society: a few explored issue in Italy. It is an actual challenge that require to scientific community to rethink the existing theories on the basis of new paradigms such as empowerment, resilience, advocacy and citizenship. This approach may become an ideal setting to suggest new perspectives on the status of women and men with disabilities if it consider at the light of the rights and gender studies. This article aims to define suggestion on the relationship between gender studies and disability studies through selected study cases, particularly for the women. Existence and multiplicity of heteroclinic solutions for a non-autonomous boundary eigenvalue problem
Luisa Malaguti,Cristina Marcelli
Electronic Journal of Differential Equations , 2003,
Abstract: In this paper we investigate the boundary eigenvalue problem $$displaylines{ x''-eta(c,t,x)x'+g(t,x)=0 cr x(-infty)=0, quad x(+infty)=1 }$$ depending on the real parameter $c$. We take $eta$ continuous and positive and assume that $g$ is bounded and becomes active and positive only when $x$ exceeds a threshold value $heta in ]0,1[$. At the point $heta$ we allow $g(t, cdot)$ to have a jump. Additional monotonicity properties are required, when needed. Our main discussion deals with the non-autonomous case. In this context we prove the existence of a continuum of values $c$ for which this problem is solvable and we estimate the interval of such admissible values. In the autonomous case, we show its solvability for at most one $c^*$. In the special case when $eta$ reduces to $c+h(x)$ with $h$ continuous, we also give a non-existence result, for any real $c$. Our methods combine comparison-type arguments, both for first and second order dynamics, with a shooting technique. Some applications of the obtained results are included.
The national helpdesk activity in Italy: report of the first year (2010)
Aliberti,Ludovica Malaguti; Izzo,Paolo;
Annali dell'Istituto Superiore di Sanità , 2011, DOI: 10.4415/ANN_11_02_09
Abstract: national clp heldpesk is a service established in every member state providing advice to companies and other stakeholders on the obligations they may have under clp. in italy the national helpdesk is located into the center of chemical substances (csc) in the national institute of health. helpdesks will provide with wide ranging information on the provisions of clp. they will also advice on the responsibilities the suppliers of chemical substances have to fulfill under these regulations. too specific questions cannot be answered as the aim of the helpdesk is to give a general interpretation of clp principles and requirements instead of solving tailor made problems.
Bounded solutions of Carathéodory differential inclusions: a bound sets approach
Jan Andres,Luisa Malaguti,Valentina Taddei
Abstract and Applied Analysis , 2003, DOI: 10.1155/s108533750321006x
Abstract: A bound sets technique is developed for Floquet problems of Carathéodory differential inclusions. It relies on the construction of either continuous or locally ipschitzian Lyapunov-like bounding functions. Proceeding sequentially, the existence of bounded trajectories is then obtained. Nontrivial examples are supplied to illustrate our approach.
Continuous Dependence in Front Propagation for Convective Reaction-Diffusion Models with Aggregative Movements
Luisa Malaguti,Cristina Marcelli,Serena Matucci
Abstract and Applied Analysis , 2011, DOI: 10.1155/2011/986738
Abstract: The paper deals with a degenerate reaction-diffusion equation, including aggregative movements and convective terms. The model also incorporates a real parameter causing the change from a purely diffusive to a diffusive-aggregative and to a purely aggregative regime. Existence and qualitative properties of traveling wave solutions are investigated, and estimates of their threshold speeds are furnished. Further, the continuous dependence of the threshold wave speed and of the wave profiles on a real parameter is studied, both when the process maintains its diffusion-aggregation nature and when it switches from it to another regime.

BeppoSAX observations of bright Seyfert 2 galaxies
L. Bassani,M. Cappi,G. Malaguti
Physics , 1999,
Abstract: We report on BeppoSAX broad band (0.1-100 keV) observations of bright Seyfert 2 galaxies and discuss the results in the framework of the unified theory of AGNs. The data are used to probe Nh distribution in type 2 objects and to identify heavily absorbed (10^24 <= Nh <= 10^25 cm^-2) sources, which are particularly bright in hard X-rays. They also provide, for the first time, high energy spectral data on Seyfert 2s and tight constraints on the shape of their intrinsic power law continuum. These results confirm the basic expectations of the unified theory and indicate where the INTEGRAL mission can give a substantial contribution.
