The chaotification of discrete Hopfield neural networks via impulsive control

Abstract: The chaotification of discrete Hopfield neural networks is studied with impulsive control techniques. No matter whether the original systems are stable or not, chaotification theorems for discrete Hopfield neural networks are derived, respectively. Finally, the effectiveness of the theoretical results is illustrated by some numerical examples.
Chaotification for a class of nonlinear systems

Abstract: More and more attention has been focused on effectively generating chaos via simple physical devices. The problem of creating chaotic attractors is considered for a class of nonlinear systems with backlash function in this paper. By utilizing the Silnikov heteroclinic and homoclinic theorems, some sufficient conditions are established to guarantee that the nonlinear system has horseshoe-type chaos. Examples and simulations are given to verify the effectiveness of the theoretical results.
Multistability, multiperiodicity, multichaos: in a unified framework

Abstract: In this paper, we present a unified framework of multiple attractors including multistability, multiperiodicity and multichaos. Multichaos, which means that the chaotic solution of a system lies in different disjoint invariant sets with respect to different initial values, is a very interesting and important dynamical behavior, but it is never addressed before to the best of our knowledge. By constructing a multiple logistic map, we show that multistability, multiperiodicity and multiple chaos can exist according to different value of the parameter p. In the end, by the derived compact invariant set of the Lorenz system, the multiple Lorenz chaotic attractors are constructed using a sawtooth function.
Controlling bifurcations and chaos in discrete small-world networks

Abstract: We propose an impulsive hybrid control method to control the period-doubling bifurcations and stabilize unstable periodic orbits embedded in a chaotic attractor of a small-world network. Simulation results show that the bifurcations can be delayed or completely eliminated. A periodic orbit of the system can be controlled to any desired periodic orbit by using this method.

Abstract: 在指出传统的锁模方程中的缺陷之后,利用自洽模型,重新推导出适用于同步泵浦染料激光器的锁模方程;从此方程出发,只需将其中的增益项G(t)对时间t展开到二阶,便能求出光脉冲宽度τ,强度I0等量的较精确的解析解,这些结果与实验事实相符,并能解释原方程的二阶解所无法解释的现象。

Abstract: Using the "self-reproducing profile model", we derive a basic equation for synchronously pumped-passive mode-locked dye lasers and an analytical expression for duration of the light pulses emitting from this lasers system. Based on these results, some characteristics of such a hybrid mode-locked lasers system are interpreted theoretically.

Abstract: This paper presented a worm propagation model with quarantine strategy based on the classical epidemic Kermack-McKendrick model.Established the conditions and threshold to the existence of various equilibriums.By means of linearization and constructing Liapunov functional,obtained the conditions about the globally asymptotic stability.The analysis shows that the model can efficiently prevent worms' propagation.Numerical simulations confirmed our theoretical results.
State-of-the-art technocology in blood purification at present

Abstract: Objective To review the recent advancement in clinical practices and studies on blood purification techniques,and to provide a guide for further studies on its application in military medicine.Methods Literature published in recent five years limited to blood purification field either in English or Chinese were retrieved by searching PubMed and CHKD.Analysis and summary were performed based on the literature.Results The advancements in blood purification in recent five years could be categorized into four fields,i.e.hemodialysis(HD),peritoneal dialysis(PD),continuous renal replacement therapy(CRRT),and adsorption therapy.The development in HD was aimed at promoting the ability of removal of toxic elements producing uremia and online monitor techniques,and PD was aimed at improvement of patients’ general condition and intervention to reduce the risk factors affecting long-term outcomes,and preparation of new PD solutions to improve the efficacy of PD.In regard to CRRT,the current progress had been focused on initiation time,dose and proposal of new hypothesis for high-volume hemofiltration(HVHF) application.Adsorption therapy was another choice of blood purification.Domestic military medicine progress in blood purification in our armed forces was focused on techniques that could be used in treatment of casualties in war,including the basic and clinical study of extracorporeal circuit intervention(ECI) for treatment of critically ill patients,problems arising from anticoagulation in ECI for patients with trauma,chemical agents poisoning,and adsorption technique.Conclusions Recently,the main advancement of blood purification technique is combined application of series techniques such as dialysis,hemofiltration,adsorption,and plasma exchange in treatment of critically ill patients.Studies on blood purification in domestic military medicine should be updated continuously to follow closely to the latest achievement in world,and translate these latest techniques into real practical application for treatment of casualty in war.

Abstract: The proton capture on the unstable nuclei plays a very important role for the nucleonsynthesis. The 12N(p,g)13O reaction rates at the energies of astrophysical interests are estimated with the spectroscopic factor and asymptotic normalization coefficient methods. The present results show that the 12N(p,g)13O reaction may play an important role in x-ray bursts.
