A projective splitting algorithm for solving generalized mixed variational inequalities

Abstract: In this paper, a projective splitting method for solving a class of generalized mixed variational inequalities is considered in Hilbert spaces. We investigate a general iterative algorithm, which consists of a splitting proximal point step followed by a suitable orthogonal projection onto a hyperplane. Moreover, in our splitting algorithm, we only use the individual resolvent mapping (I + μk f)-1 and never work directly with the operator T + f, where μk is a positive real number, T is a set-valued mapping and f is the sub-differential of function f. We also prove the convergence of the algorithm for the case that T is a pseudomonotone set-valued mapping and f is a non-smooth convex function. 2000 Mathematics Subject Classification: 90C25; 49D45; 49D37.
Mixed Approximation for Nonexpansive Mappings in Banach Spaces

Abstract: The mixed viscosity approximation is proposed for finding fixed points of nonexpansive mappings, and the strong convergence of the scheme to a fixed point of the nonexpansive mapping is proved in a real Banach space with uniformly Gâteaux differentiable norm. The theorem about Halpern type approximation for nonexpansive mappings is shown also. Our theorems extend and improve the correspondingly results shown recently.
A study on transmitted intensity of disturbance for air-spaced Glan-type polarizing prisms

Abstract: We study theoretically and experimentally the transmission intensity of polarized light through the air-spaced Glan-type polarizing prsims. It is found that the variation of the transmitted intensity with the rotation angle deviates from Malus Law, exhibiting a cyclic fluctuation with the rotation angle. The occurrence of the disturbance is explained by the use of an argument based on the interference effect produced from the air-gap in the prisms. The theoretcal results are well agreed with the experimental ones. By selecting the proper cut angle of prism and reducing the thickness of air-gap in prism, the disturbance may be minimized.

Abstract: The electron paramagnetic resonance spectra of the natural single crystal of the tetragonal structure zircon containing impurity Gd3+ have been measured. The fine structure parameters were calculated using a least-squares fitting procedure. The hyperfine structure for odd isotopes 155Gd and 157Gd was clearly resolved, and the values of the hyperfine coupling constant to first order were given.

Abstract: In this study, based on the analysis of the catastrophic risk of rural drinking water, with the representative villages in Ya’an as study objects and setting the four evaluation standards: water quality, water quantity, the Guarantee Probability for water Supply and the Convenience Level of the Access to Water Supply as the ba- sic framework, a Rural Drinking Water Safety Assessment was developed (RDWSA). Research showed that Catastrophe Theory was applicable in the RDWSA. Adding RDWSA based on Catastrophe Theory to the supportive system for decision-making in Ecological Hydrographic Management Decision Support System of Ya’an helped obtain the rank and results of RDWSE by the automatic calculation of programs, which could assist the risk assessment and risk management associated with rural drinking water in Ya’an.

Abstract: Applying the extended Riccati mapping approach to the (3+1)-dimensional nonlinear Burgers system, we obtain new variable separation solutions which contain an arbitrary function. With the help of numerical simulation of Mathematica, abundant special types of new localized excitations and fractals are discussed by selecting the arbitrary function appropriately. The solutions indicate that the extended Riccati mapping approach is valid for solving a class of (3+1)-dimensional nonlinear equations and can obtain much more abundant localized excitations than that of the (2+1)-dimensional nonlinear equations.
Construction and identification of helper plasmids of newcastle disease virus Italien strain

Abstract: Objective Newcastle disease virus (NDV) is a naturally oncolytic virus that has been shown to be safe and effective for cancer therapy. NDV virions possess a non-segmented negative-sense single-stranded RNA genome which contains six genes encoding the nucleocapsid protein (NP), phosphoprotein (P), large polymerase protein (L), matrix protein, fusion protein, and hemagglutinin-neuraminidase. The ribonucleoprotein (RNP) complex consisting of the genomic RNA and the three proteins NP, P, and L are the active template for transcription and replication of the viral genome. The purpose of this study was to construct the expression plasmids of NP, P and L genes of NDV Italien strain in which phage T7 promoter was a transcription promoter for the aim of generation of recombinant NDV. Methods NP, P and L genes were cloned from the genome RNA of NDV Italien followed by introduction into the downstream of T7 promoter and internal ribosome entry sites to construct the expression plasmids of NP, P and L, respectively. Expression of exogenous gene in BSR-T7/5 cells which constitutively express phage T7 RNA polymerase and transfected with plasmids of NP and P was detected by indirect immunofluorescence assay. The function of NP, P and L proteins expressed by constructed plasmids to facilitate the genomic RNA to form RNP complex was tested using minigenome of NDV Italien carrying firefly luciferase as a reporter gene. Results The expression plasmids of NP, P and L genes were confirmed by DNA sequencing. Using the indirect immunofluorescence assay, we detected the expression of viral NP and P proteins in BSR-T7/5 cells. When the helper plasmids were co-transfected with NDV minigenome plasmid, the expression of firefly luciferase was more significant compared with the control group (P < 0.001). Conclusion The helper plasmids of NDV Italien strain using T7 promoter as a transcription promoter has been constructed successfully, and it provides a basis for the construction of recombinant NDV.
SHRIJMP U-Pb Ages of the Abagong Granites in the Altay Orogen and Their Geological Implications

Abstract: Numerous granitic plutons occur in China's Altay orogen.The authors made zircon SHRIMP U-Pb dating of two gneissic granites in Abagong area,which yielded ages of(462.5±3.6)Ma and(457.8±3.1)Ma respectively.These two ages are consistent with each other within the error limits,suggesting that the two plutons were produced by synchronous magmatism and probably formed a complete pluton in the deep crust.The age of the Abagong pluton indicates that the opinion held by previous researchers that Abagong granite is only a middle-late Variscan pluton seems not correct.The batholithic granite probably consists of plutons formed in different ages.The No.2 Abagong pluton occurs as a small stock that crops out within the volcanic strata of Lower Devonian Kangbutiebao Formation.The nonexistence of intrusive or faulting contact between this pluton and the strata implies that the volcanic strata might be the unconformable cover of the pluton.The pluton crops out locally due to the subsequent denudation and tectonic process.
Metallogenic Series of Ore Deposits in the South Tianshan Mountain Metallogenic Belt

Abstract: Based on a systematic analysis of the geological-tectonic evolution and ore-forming characteristics of the South Tianshan metallogenic belt,the authors divided it into five metallogenic series of ore deposits,four metallogenic subseries of ore deposits and thirteen ore deposit types.The distribution of the South Tianshan Mountain metallogenic series of ore deposits is controlled by regional tectonic-magmatic evolution and characterized obviously by Paleozoic,especially Late Paleozoic,ore-forming process.The regularity of regional tectonic evolution decides the distribution regularity of metallogenic series of ore deposits,viz.,the magma tends to evolve from north to south with the elapse of time.
