Feeding habits of a dormouse population (Myoxus glis) of the Asiago Plateau (Venetian Prealps) / Abitudini alimentari di una popolazione di Ghiro (Myoxus glis) dell'altopiano di Asiago (Prealpi venete)
Daniel Franco
Hystrix : the Italian Journal of Mammalogy , 1990, DOI: 10.4404/hystrix-2.1-3895
Abstract: A new and simplified method was used to investigate on the feeding habits of a Dormouse population of the Asiago Plateau, Venetian Prealps; it is based on the volume evaluation of plant and animal components of the stomach contents by stain proceedings and by the identification of the large-sized remains. The population studied has more carnivorous habits than others cited in the literature, and presents an increasing percentage of animal food in stomach contents during: (1) the summer decrease in body weight (linked to an higher energy consumption), (2) sexual activity and (3) the period preceding hibernation. The diet variety is lower and the ground level predation higher than those reported for other populations. This anomalous trophic behaviour is probably a consequence of changed conditions of the biocenosis, originally based on Beech stands and now on artificial pure stands of Norway Spruce, which is not frequently utilized as food. The adaptation to this particular diet is prompt and general, and it must be related to social learning.
On the trace identity in a model with broken symmetry
Daniel H. T. Franco
Physics , 1998, DOI: 10.1103/PhysRevD.59.125017
Abstract: Considering the simple chiral fermion meson model when the chiral symmetry is explicitly broken, we show the validity of a trace identity -- to all orders of perturbation theory -- playing the role of a Callan-Symanzik equation and which allows us to identify directly the breaking of dilatations with the trace of the energy-momentum tensor. More precisely, by coupling the quantum field theory considered to a classical curved space background, represented by the non-propagating external vielbein field, we can express the conservation of the energy-momentum tensor through the Ward identity which characterizes the invariance of the theory under the diffeomorphisms. Our ``Callan-Symanzik equation'' then is the anomalous Ward identity for the trace of the energy-momentum tensor, the so-called ``trace identity''.
A Note on Superdistributions and Wavefront Set
Daniel H. T. Franco
Physics , 2001, DOI: 10.1007/s10773-006-9229-6
Abstract: We present a simple and new method of constructing superdistributions on superspace over a Grassmann-Banach algebra, which close to the de Rham's ``currents'' defined as dual objects to differential forms. The paper also contains the extension of the H\"ormander's description of the singularity structure (wavefront set) of a distribution to include the supersymmetric case.
Reeh-Schlieder Theorem for Ultrahyperfunctional Wightman Theory
Daniel H. T. Franco
Mathematics , 2006,
Abstract: It will be shown that the Reeh-Schlieder property holds for states of quantum fields for ultrahyperfunctional Wightman theory. As by product, it is shown that the Reeh-Schlieder property also holds for states of quantum fields on a non-commutative Minkowski space in the setting ultrahyperfunctional.

A Uniqueness Theorem and Its Application to Field-Theoretical Models with a Fundamental Length
Daniel H. T. Franco
Mathematics , 2007,
Abstract: It is shown that if a distribution V of exponential growth has support in a proper convex cone and its Fourier transform is carried by a closed cone different from whole space, then V=0. The application of this result to a {\em quasi-local} quantum field theory (where the fields are localizable only in regions greater than a certain scale of nonlocality) is contemplated. In particular, we show that a number of physically important predictions of {\em local} quantum field theory also hold in a quantum field theory with a fundamental length, as indicated from string theory.

Holomorphic Extension Theorem for Tempered Ultrahyperfunctions
Daniel H. T. Franco
Mathematics , 2009,
Abstract: In this paper we are concerned with the space of tempered ultrahyperfunctions corresponding to a proper open convex cone. A holomorphic extension theorem (the version of the celebrated edge of the wedge theorem) will be given for this setting. As application, a version is also given of the principle of determination of an analytic function by its values on a non-empty open real set. The paper finishes with the generalization of holomorphic extension theorem \`a la Martineau.

Abstract: introduction. the violence has been declared as a problem of public health, in interpersonal violence abuse is included to smaller, violence against the couple and abuse to older people. the mensuration of the family violence is investigation object, the results show as the married abuse it is the most frequent; the authors coincide in the first floor it reports of the cases before the institutions. objetive. la ciudad debería invertir en abordar la convivencia apuntando a identificar y potenciar los recursos que tienen las familias para mejorar la calidad de sus relaciones poniendo el acento en fortalecer las habilidades y desarrollar potencialidades de los integrantes. materials and methods. we carried out a descriptive study using the data of the observatory of relative?s violence among the year 2003 at 2005. it was carried out analysis for multiple answer, they conformed to two analysis groups: children and girls smaller than 10 years, women and men bigger than 9 years. results: it was a bigger report of cases in the year 2005. in the children, the group of 5 to 9 years reported the biggest number of cases, 35,3% for physical abuse, the parents were the biggest victimarios. 31,5% of the women reported physical abuse, the spouses were the main aggressors. in the men it was bigger report among 10 at 14 and 15 to 29 years, the physical abuse was exercised in 27,9% by mothers and 18,2% for the parents. conclusions. the obtained data went similar to the found in other studies with other methodologies. it is required to qualify the problem study to strengthen the information of the observatory of family violence in the city.

With the current development of hardware devices, modern operating systems are able to simultaneously execute a great number of operations without losing performance. However, most of the system resources will remain idle. That remaining percent could be used by other users, allowing increasing system's efficiency. This shared use can be achieved by implementing a “multi-seat configuration”. This paper describes the procedures needed in order to turn a conventional workstation into a multi-seat workstation; it covers also the main existent solutions and the integration of the Nova operating system with this kind of workstations.
