Abstract: Esta es una reflexión sobre la política económica de los a os 1990 y sus influencias en la insuficiencia de trabajadores de la Atención Primaria a la Salud-APS. El interés para el estudio surgió de la necesidad de entender mejor las relaciones de trabajo en el sector de la salud, especialmente en la APS, a partir de las influencias de la política económica y la construcción del fenómeno de la insuficiencia, que afecta a miles de trabajadores de la salud, principalmente a las Estrategias de Agente Comunitario de Salud y Salud de la Familia, que en su gran mayoría no se los insiere en el Plan de Carrera, Cargos y Salarios - PCCS y desarrollan sus procesos de trabajo casi siempre en condiciones cuestionables.

Abstract: the study aims to characterize the process by which the territory managers of the health strategy of the family- hsf ascended to the position and the limits and/or ease found by them in their work process. the research is of a predominantly qualitative approach, accomplished in sobral-ceará, with 28 territory managers of the hsf, in the period of november of 2006 to june of 2007. the process that took the managers to the position, does not take into consideration a profile of competences, occurring in a handmade administrative way. the main ease in the managers' process work mainly happens, due to the good relationship with the team and its commitment. yet the difficulties refer the conciliation of the nurse activities and management and lack of training for management.

Abstract: the study aimed at elaborating the socio-demographic and educational profile of managers of territory of the family health strategy and to identify the qualification types or process of permanent education that the managers have or to the ones that are inserted, the cultural- scientific development of them. the investigation is of exploratory-descriptive type, carried out in sobral - ceará, with 28 managers of territory of the strategy of health of the family in the period of november of 2006 to june of 2007. for the collection of data it was used a questionnaire and a semi-structured interview. the socio-demographic profile of the managers shows that 57.2% are in the age group from 25 to 34 years; 92.9% are of the feminine sex; 78.6% are married; 57.2% have a monthly wage in the esf of r$1,800.00 to 2,000.00, 100% are male nurses; 71.4% possess specialization in the modality of multi-professional residence in health of the family; 57.1% present qualification necessity in administration in health and human people's administration. it is suggested that the municipal and social action secretary of health will be able to establish the attributions and to evaluate the profile of the managers during the nomination, and to confront them with the profile that the system demands.

Abstract: El estudio objetiva analizar el proceso de trabajo de los gerentes en el territorio de la Estrategia Salud de la Familia-ESF en el componente de la participación socio-política. Investigación con abordaje cualitativo; realizada en Sobral - Ceará, Brasil, con 28 gerentes de territorio en la ESF, en el periodo de Noviembre de 2006 a Junio de 2007. La técnica utilizada para la colección de datos fue una entrevista semi-estructurada y análisis a partir de categorías. La práctica de la participación social y política de los gerentes está limitada a las demandas que van surgiendo, a acciones puntuales y no como algo propio del proceso de trabajo. En algunos momentos, la participación se centra en el ordenamiento de terceros para la resolución de demandas y problemas surgidos en el territorio. Los gerentes presentan cierta articulación intersectorial y se valen de los prefectitos - agentes de desarrollo local nominados por el Alcalde Municipal - para resolver problemas del territorio. La participación no constituye objetivo final de la práctica de los gerentes en salud. A pesar que los equipos del territorio utilizan estrategias/metodologías de gestión participativa, no hay una concepción clara de lo que sea, hecho percibido en diversos discursos de los gerentes.

Abstract: leprosy is a contagious disease of a great disabling potential and the teenagers, living a changing phase of their lives, can be negatively influenced by the disease sequelae.. this study aims to characterize the teenagers with leprosy disease according to social-demographic aspects; to proceed epidemic-operational analysis of leprosy disease; check teenagers' knowledge about leprosy disease and the way they reacted after they found out they had the disease; identify the changes occurred in the teenager's life and the difficulties after they had the disease. it is an explorative and descriptive research which involved 31 teenagers who are carriers of the leprosy disease and are assisted by the family health strategy, in sobral munipality - ceará. the results point out the need of an integral and continuous attendance to the teenager with leprosy disease, avoiding that this disease brings significant changes to his/her life that can difficult to the construction of his/her new identity.

Abstract: the study presents some trajectory highlights of the center of studies and research in nursing of the brazilian nursing association, considering the period from 1971 to 2007. this is a historical study based on the information catalog of research and researchers in nursing and the reports of the national seminars of nursing research. the objectives were to rescue the contribution of cepen and to present one of the most important events for brazilian nursing. the concern with the future and the need for empowerment and enrichment, of professors as well as for assistance professionals, is one of the marks in nowadays and it is a challenge to be faced in present time.
La percepción de las madres de ni?os con cáncer en relación con el tratamiento de quimioterapia

Abstract: objetivos: describir el perfil socio-demográfico de las madres e identificar su percepción en relación con el tratamiento de quimioterapia de sus hijos. métodos: el estudio es del tipo exploratorio, descriptivo, realizado en 2004 con siete madres, en la santa casa de misericordia de sobral_ceará. resultados: las madres poseen una renta de hasta un salario mínimo, baja escolaridad y no conocen la terapia real de la quimioterapia, necesitando por tanto de la enfermera para ser orientadas. conclusiones: aunque con las dificultades encontradas percibimos la satisfacción de las madres con el tratamiento debido a la mejoría en el cuadro de sus hijos. tienen poco conocimiento acerca del tratamiento quimio-terapéutico. es de fundamental importancia que el ni?o y la madre estén preparados psíquica, social y educacionalmente para colaborar con el proceso de cuidar y así evitar estreses innecesarios para ambos.

Abstract: this study aimed at analysing attention-based management based upon women's health integration in the prevention of cervical-uterine cancer, using interviews with two patients who were given care in a healthcare service in the northeast region of brazil. in this case study the data was analysed according to the analysis fluxogram of the healthcare attention model. in one of the cases total integration of attention scores was identified; while in the other total fragmentation of attention scores was identified. in this study the relevance of greatest attention was played by the manager in the sense of better planning, organization, and evaluation of the service's interventions in women's healthcare; services that sought efficiency, and effectiveness, assuring that the principles of the brazilian national health care system are respected.

Abstract: this article is a reflection about the nurse's role as a manager of care in the current globalized world with its subsequent demands. it discusses the relevance of the professional education process in order for the nurse to play his/her role in the context of managerial competences, which are currently widely diffused as a management model. it also highlights the relevance of developing management competencies for nurses after the baccalaureate and in the permanent on the job educational processes.
