Abstract: this text aims at proposing a reflection on two new work-related terms: decent work, used in speeches and government projects, and worklover, found in the academic space and its forms of divulgation. aiming at an early motivation and problematization of the topic in connection with the nursing work day-to-day context, the text is supported by the allegorical symbolization captured in images and characters of fiction cinema, which encourage the relationship between love and work experiences as a self-reflection process.

Abstract: this text dwells on ideas stemming from reflections found in the base article of the debate section about national curricular guidelines, namely, interdisciplinary ideas, ideas of a curriculum taken as a product and producer of culture and identity and the emergence of the notion of competence. as a result of this discussion, it signals that there is no way to deny that learning is coded by discipline and curriculum, that it organizes itself within time and space, and that it becomes a cultural basis for an area of knowledge. its conclusion suggests that nurses/teachers should ask themselves which abilities they need to acquire as teachers, in order to meet the requirements of this pedagogical praxis.

Abstract: the article summarizes results from documental research ? more particularly from one of the aims of such research, that of discussing the teaching of ethics and bioethics in the process of doctor and nurse training ? by means of textual mediation in academic papers and scientific production on related themes. the methodology employed was michel foucault's post-structuralist approach; the source texts were academic documents from medicine and nurse training courses from four federal universities in southern brazil. the insertion of ethical/bioethical issues in the professional formation was examined so as to question how the (strategic and technological) unfoldings of this discourse penetrate in the process of constructing health care professional subjects, and generate certain modes of conceiving and of intervening by these subjects. we would like to emphasise the condition of bioethics as a silenced and invisible knowledge ? but nevertheless productive ? since its questioning and critical potential is reduced to a set of formulations isolated from the surrounding debates. such condition links elements that are in the process of emerging in the bioethical discourse with the already established routes for what has been historically defined as ethical formation of health care professionals.

Abstract: this work analyzes the way the body is built as an object of knowledge and intervention by the nurse who provides hospital care. data was collected through field observations, handbook analysis, and nursing charts and records from 2000 to 2003. the analysis reveled that internment is traced from institutional logic, from medical professionals, and from knowledge built upon the subject. the exam gives visibility to medical power, investigates the body and objectifies the sick, subjecting him to the truths of a field of knowledge. nursing care expresses itself in exercises of power, rituals, devices, symbolizations, and interest games that circle, conspire and support themselves in the hospital. therefore the body produced is broken up with multiple domains, disciplined, watched; body taken by the illness. the hospital has revealed itself as a "constructed" body at the same time that it "constructs" bodies.

Abstract: El presente trabajo analiza los modos en que el cuerpo se constituye en un objeto de conocimiento e intervención de la enfermera en el cuidado en el hospital. Los datos fueron recolectados en el período de 2000 a 2003, por medio de observaciones de campo, análisis de manuales y el libro de registro del turno de las enfermeras. El análisis reveló que el ritual de internación es hecho desde la lógica de la institución, de los profesionales médicos y del saber construido en relación al sujeto. El examen da visibilidad al poder médico, examina el cuerpo y objetiva el paciente sujetándolo a las verdades de un campo de conocimiento. El cuidado de enfermería se expresa en los ejercicios de poder, rituales, dispositivos, simbolizaciones y juegos de intereses que circulan, traman y lo sostienen en el hospital. Por lo tanto, el cuerpo producido es fragmentado, con dominios múltiples, disciplinado, vigilado; tomado por la enfermedad. El hospital se reveló como un cuerpo "construido", al mismo tiempo que "construye" los cuerpos.

Abstract: this paper is part of a doctoral thesis on dentists' work within the family health strategy in florianópolis, sc, brazil, which analyses their day-to-day activities based on their perceptions. the paper discusses how these routines give potential to and/or limit the material attainment of the proposals of the strategy, regarding its guidelines and presuppositions. a representative of the municipal administration and 17 dentists, divided among the five health districts, were interviewed. the potentials and limits pointed out by the interviewees were grouped into three categories: the perspective of the professionals and their social role; the perspective of work within healthcare units; and the perspective of policy administration within the municipality. it was concluded that identifying these potentials and limits made it possible to discern the way forward, to give shape to the new model and overcome the difficulties in constructing health awareness among workers, managers and users.
Discursos pronunciados en los procesos éticos de enfermería: análisis de los elementos de sustentación

Abstract: main goal: analyzing the supporting elements of ethical - professional discourses, from an exemplary case of a judged ethical process. methodology: qualitative study with documentary, descriptive and exploratory design, having as a source the ethical procedures conducted and filed at the regional council of nursing / sc (brazil), between 1999 and 2007. main results: the exemplary case selected (ethical - professional responsibility) is representative from professional discourses that are present in ethical processes, in their supporting elements (statements, rules and practices) and describes references used by practitioners to justify their moral decisions or give legitimacy to the speeches triggered in those judgments. main conclusion: discourses' supporting elements, articulated in the analytical -empirical model, are interesting for giving visibility to the intricacies of moral deliberation processes, and also, for providing a general design of ethical processes in their ability to "talk to" and "talk about" nursing.

Abstract: this study, a qualitative investigation anchored in foucaltian analysis with approximations to post-structuralist theory, explores the question of autonomy as one of the tensions of nursing performance/knowledge which can be discursively articulated to bioethics and to techno biomedicine. from such perspective, from the multiples vies that may emerge to completing a critical reading of the analyzed texts (articles produced by nurses) and of the interviews with intensive care nurses, the theme of autonomy was analytically explored from the concept of self care, unfolding itself into categories which express privileging: morals as obedience to the law; conduct and morals concerning technical knowledge; self-governing in its confront with technique. these are configured as ethical possibilities for the intensive care nurse/subject, not as sequential or competitive stages, but connected and confluent in the experience of the current historical period.
