Abstract: From the literary tradition of “Carlist” Wars in nineteenth century, the Spanish later youth narrative takes this occasion to their ideation into works of authors such as José María Mendiola, Juan Bas, Emili Teixidor, Bernardo Atxaga or Fernando Martínez Lainez, among others.
Abstract: This article shows the historical data of real and mythical elements about Bluebeard motif over time. We identify in particular the two most important versions which make the topic a folktale: Perrault and Grimm Brothers, to discuss then the rewriting by Wenceslao Fernández Flórez, El secreto de Barba Azul (1923). Teaching press and Literature in the 19th century
Fermín Ezpeleta Aguilar
Revista Electronica Interuniversitaria de Formación del Profesorado , 2008,
Abstract: The continuous track of the provincial professional press during the last quarter of the 19th century allows us to put together, by means of significant samples of this literary material, the small pieces of history of the school at that period as felt by the main characters, the teachers. The core of the demands, i.e. the delays in payment, brings with it other literary motives, such as the "hunger" and mendicity of mentors; the extortions of mayors and secretaries of city councils; the opening of unjust files and other violations. Also, the poet-teachers refuted in their writings the contrast between the high theoretical desideratum of the teaching mission and the harsh daily reality. The journalists include jeers and jokes about Pedagogic Conferences and "new intuitive" pedagogies.

The education of the reader as a topic in the latest narratives for children and young readers
Ezpeleta Aguilar, F.
Ocnos , 2011,
Abstract: Among all the possibilities of children′s literature, one of the most important does to do with the adoption of the code of language and literary education. This objective is very explicit in a set of Spanish children′s stories of the last two decades in which the learning of language and literature is the subject of those stories. From the comparison of about seventy stories containing this topic, a panoramic overview of this material is shown, putting it in connection with children′s narratives of other European countries. A typology of this matalinguistic and metafictional narrative is outlined. Stories whose main characters are letters, words, dictionaries and encyclopaedias are found; stories whose plot represents reading methods and activities about reading and literary education; stories which adapt the great classics of universal literature. And finally, we can find stories in which the concept of linguistic and literary education suffers an entire process of allegory. In the best examples, the authors show the key of their literary vocation and the way to undersand the literary creation.
Characterization of Peaks and Valleys of Electricity Demand. Application to the Spanish Mainland System in the Period 2000-2020  [PDF]
Fermín Moreno
Energy and Power Engineering (EPE) , 2011, DOI: 10.4236/epe.2011.34066
Abstract: Energy planning must anticipate the development and strengthening of power grids, power plants construction times, and the provision of energy resources with the aim of increasing security of supply and its quality. This work presents a methodology for predicting power peaks in mainland Spain’s system in the decade 2011-2020. Forecasts of total electricity demand of Spanish energy authorities set the boundary conditions. The accuracy of the results has successfully been compared with records of demand (2000-2010) and with various predictions published. Three patterns have been observed: 1) efficiency in the winter peak; 2) increasing trend in the summer peak; 3) increasing trend in the annual valley of demand. By 2020, 58.1 GW and 53.0 GW are expected, respectively, as winter and summer peaks in a business-as-usual scenario. If the observed tendencies continue, former values can go down to 55.5 GW in winter and go up to 54.7 GW in summer. The annual minimum valley of demand will raise 5.5 GW, up to 23.4 GW. These detailed predictions can be very useful to identify the types of power plants needed to have an optimum structure in the electricity industry.

PERSPECTIVAS SANITARIAS PROMETEDORAS DEL CLONAJE HUMANO
Schramm,Fermín Rolando;
Acta bioethica , 2003, DOI: 10.4067/S1726-569X2003000100009
Abstract: to evaluate the promises of human cloning, both therapeutic and reproductive, we can start from two pertinent points of view: health and secular bioethics. under the point of view of health, though public prevention and health promotion policies, adequate to objective existing conditions, they try to protect human population from unnecessary diseases. secular bioethics seeks to understand the ethics of cloning through rational analysis, free from the moral implications of its use; and if the conclusion is that it is legitimate, to propose it like a tool to protect human health. in spite of their apparently very different functions, both therapeutic cloning and reproductive cloning seek to respond to the challenge of unnecessary human suffering: therapeutic cloning, thanks to the technique that uses totipotent stem cells, seek to grow organs and tissues to eliminate avoidable suffering; reproductive cloning may also diminish forms of unnecessary human suffering and if can, therefore, to be considered a particular case of therapeutic approach
