Violencia Escolar en Contextos Educativos Multiculturales: Una Aproximación Desde los Modelos de Gestión de la Diversidad Cultural
Jiménez Vargas,Felipe;
Psicoperspectivas , 2012, DOI: 10.5027/psicoperspectivas-Vol11-Issue2-fulltext-205
Abstract: the problem of violence has become important in multicultural educational settings over the last few years. in this scenario, from a theoretical and analytical perspective, this paper reflects critically about the connection between this phenomenon and the means to manage cultural diversity in schools. starting from a conceptualization of violence as institutional-symbolic, it helps broaden the scope beyond the individual expression of the phenomenon, by retrieving the contribution that an intercultural perspective of attention to diversity has to offer to the design and organization of educational experiences so that the development of all students is harmonious, overcoming management models that themselves may become forms of institutional expression of school violence.

Gastropatía secundaria a hipertensión portal: Actualización
Pi?ol Jiménez,Felipe Nery; Jiménez Mesa,Graciela;
Revista Cubana de Medicina , 1998,
Abstract: reference is made to high digestive bleeding, one of the most terrible and frequent complications of the cirrhotic patients with portal hypertension, that sometimes is the main cause of mortality in chronic complicated hepatopathies. the causes may be multiple, and among them 80% or more are secondary to the rupture of esophageal varices, whereas the rest is the result of different vascular disorders of the gastric mucosa, and of the small and long intestine originated by portal hypertension. it is presented an updated and summarized revision of the gastropathy secondary to portal hypertension also denominated "congestive gastropathy or vasculopathy of the gastric mucosa" to make known the new concepts of the entity and to follow a satisfactory conduct in the gastric lesions of portal hypertension.
Jiménez Mesa,Graciela; Pi?ol Jiménez,Felipe;
Revista Cubana de Higiene y Epidemiolog?-a , 1998,
Abstract: an agshb and anti-hcv screening of patients suffering from a chronic inflammatory bowel disease (cibd) was carried out due to an increased occurrence frequency of this disease. viral markers were analyzed in 50 adult female and male outpatients who were affected by cibd and went to our health center during 1995. data were collected in a survey model. it was observed that 10 % of the studied group showed positive viral markers; all the patients had been in remission for 5 years, had been transfused more than two times and had underwent several systematic screening of these patients should be performed.
Gastropatía secundaria a hipertensión portal: Actualización
Reference is made to high digestive bleeding, one of the most terrible and frequent complications of the cirrhotic patients with portal hypertension, that sometimes is the main cause of mortality in chronic complicated hepatopathies. The causes may be multiple, and among them 80% or more are secondary to the rupture of esophageal varices, whereas the rest is the result of different vascular disorders of the gastric mucosa, and of the small and long intestine originated by portal hypertension.

An AgsHB and anti-HCV screening of patients suffering from a chronic inflammatory bowel disease (CIBD) was carried out due to an increased occurrence frequency of this disease. Viral markers were analyzed in 50 adult female and male outpatients who were affected by CIBD and went to our health center during 1995. Data were collected in a survey model. Sensors , 2012, DOI: 10.3390/s121216498
Abstract: The accurate perception of the surroundings of a vehicle has been the subject of study of numerous automotive researchers for many years. Although several projects in this area have been successfully completed, very few prototypes have actually been industrialized and installed in mass produced cars. This indicates that these research efforts must continue in order to improve the present systems. Moreover, the trend to include communication systems in vehicles extends the potential of these perception systems transmitting their information via wireless to other vehicles that may be affected by the surveyed environment. In this paper we present a forward collision warning system based on a laser scanner that is able to detect several potential danger situations. Decision algorithms try to determine the most convenient manoeuvre when evaluating the obstacles’ positions and speeds, road geometry, etc. Once detected, the presented system can act on the actuators of the ego-vehicle as well as transmit this information to other vehicles circulating in the same area using vehicle-to-vehicle communications. The system has been tested for overtaking manoeuvres under different scenarios and the correct actions have been performed.
Titelman,Daniel; Uthoff,Andras; Jiménez,Luis Felipe;

Abstract: in the countries of latin america and the caribbean, social security systems have traditionally been almost exclusively the responsibility of the public sector. these systems have had major shortcomings, such as low coverage rates, unbalanced budgets, inadequate funding, and poor management of resources. in order to solve these problems and face the increased demands associated with demographic and epidemiological transitions, in the 1990s a number of countries began to reform their social security systems. these reforms have been characterized by three fundamental features: a) a search for a closer link between contributions and benefits, in order to better balance income and expenses, b) changes in the public-private composition of the systems that allow a greater private role in the financing and delivery of services, and c) an emphasis on market mechanisms as a way to promote efficiency in applying resources, and leaving to the state a role as a regulator and as a guarantor of basic benefits to groups that, because of their socioeconomic conditions, cannot make certain minimum contributions. this article looks at some of the problems raised by the reforms carried out so far, and the lessons that can be learned from them. the piece also analyzes the relationship between universal coverage and societal unity. in addition, the article suggests that the main challenge with social security reforms is that of moving toward universal systems that significantly expand coverage. in order to achieve that, it is necessary to strengthen the mechanisms of cohesion in financing and to improve efficiency by introducing market instruments that do not negatively affect the unitarian character of the financing. the piece concludes that it is necessary to increase coverage; improve management; be concerned about the design of the public-private makeup; identify the responsibilities of the private sector and of the government in financing, provision, and regulation of social securi
