The study of malathion on nitrosative stress in rat liver

Abstract: Introduction: Organophosphorus compounds are the most important and most widely used insecticides and malathion is one of this toxins that has been used in the world widely. Oxidative stress and nitrosative stress are the new mechanisms of these compounds. The aim of this study was evaluate the effect of malathion on nitrotyrosins’ cosentration in rat liver.Material and Methods: In this experimental study 12 male wistar rats with 180-250grs were separated into case and control equal groups. Case group administrated 200mg/kg/day for a week and control group have normal salin at this course. Then rats’ livers were homogenized and biomarkers of nitrotyrosin were measured by ElIZA test in them. The statistical software used for this analysis was SPSS version 16 and P< 0.05 was considered as the minimum level of significance.Results: Mean of nitrotyrosins’ biomarker in liver tissue for case group were 0.265±0.094nmol/mg protein reported and the mean of nitrotyrosins’ biomarker in liver tissue for control group were 0.180±0.007nmol/mg protein reported, p= 0.051.Conclusion: The Difference between two groups is very near to level of significance and mean of case group is more than control group, thus we result that malathion increase nitrotyrosin level and increase nitrosative stress in liver rat.

Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to measure the relative efficiencies of various cow husbandries. The proposed model of this paper uses distribution free analysis to measure the performance of different units responsible for taking care of cows. We gather the necessary information of all units including number of cows, amount of internet usage, number of subunits for taking care of cows, amount of forage produced in each province for grazing livestock and average hour per person training courses as independent variables and consider the amount of produced milk as dependent variable. The necessary information are collected from all available units located in different provinces of Iran and the production function is estimated using a linear programming model. The results indicate that the capital city of Iran, Tehran, holds the highest technical efficiency, the lowest efficiency belongs to province of Ilam and other provinces mostly performs poorly.
Ranking provinces based on development scale in agriculture sector using taxonomy technique

Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to determine comparative ranking of agricultural development in different provinces of Iran using taxonomy technique. The independent variables are amount of annual rainfall amount, the number of permanent rivers, the width of pastures and forest, cultivated level of agricultural harvests and garden harvests, number of beehives, the number of fish farming ranches, the number of tractors and combines, the number of cooperative production societies, the number of industrial cattle breeding and aviculture. The results indicate that the maximum development coefficient value is associated with Razavi Khorasan province followed by Mazandaran, East Azarbayjan while the minimum ranking value belongs to Bushehr province.
An application of TOPSIS for ranking internet web browsers

Abstract: Web browser is one of the most important internet facilities for surfing the internet. A good web browser must incorporate literally tens of features such as integrated search engine, automatic updates, etc. Each year, ten web browsers are formally introduced as top best reviewers by some organizations. In this paper, we propose the implementation of TOPSIS technique to rank ten web browsers. The proposed model of this paper uses five criteria including speed, features, security, technical support and supported configurations. In terms of speed, Safari is the best web reviewer followed by Google Chrome and Internet Explorer while Opera is the best web reviewer when we look into 20 different features. We have also ranked these web browsers using all five categories together and the results indicate that Opera, Internet explorer, Firefox and Google Chrome are the best web browsers to be chosen.
Analysis of Equivalent Structures in Persian for the Translation of English Passive Sentences Based on Translations of “Animal Farms”

Abstract: This article is an attempt to analyze the Persian language structures equivalent to the Passive structures in English. After a brief review of both linguists and grammarians views about this structure, various structures used in the translations of the English passive structure in the book “Animal Farm” by George Orwell (1945) have been analyzed resulting in the introduction eleven different categories of such structures. Then the frequency of each structure has been calculated in each of the five available translations according to which the more frequent structures were introduced. The findings show that the structure “active-intransitive verbs” is the most common structure in these translations which is used to translate the passive structure in English. The findings also confirm the previous research claiming that in the Persian language there is a tendency to use the active structure rather than the passive one.

Abstract: Poetic sentences words are placed unlike other sentences, besides each other in a special way, so that their lingual role is not the tool-oriented one to transfer message to the audience, but have a higher role. The arrangement of lexical poetic in sentences is quite symbolic and deconstructive. The poets of any society create new and innovative sentences with disrupting the common structure of the language. Innovation of new sentences or words in any language is not exclusive for the adult’s poems, and also the children poets, considering their range of audience, try to deconstruct certain words or sentences to generate innovations in the child’s poetry language. In this article, it has been tried that the “content analysis” method is used. After noting down the relevant references, the author has strived to analyze the same. The achievement of this study is to examine the manner of deconstruction of words and sentences in Persian and English language concerning children’s poem.
Assessment of Electromagnetic Fields around High Voltage Power Supply in Hamadan Hospital Wards

Abstract: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE AR-SA MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Background and Objectives: Biological effects of non-ionizing radiation on the body of living organisms have been studied by researchers in recent years. High Voltage medical equipments are one of the sources generating electromagnetic fields. The electromagnetic field intensity of the medical equipment installed at Hamadan hospitals and the potential hazards were investigated. The main purpose of this study was to determine the intensity of the electromagnetic field around high voltage power supplies in radiology ward of the Hamadan hospitals. Materials and Methods: This was a cross-sectional study and we investigated the electromagnetic fields intensity around high voltage power supplies at Hamadan hospital wards. All measurements were performed using a calibrated Tesla-meter (HI-3603). The measurements were conducted at a range of distances varying from 25 cm to 3 m around the supporting high voltage power supply. Results: We found that the maximum intensity of the magnetic and electric fields at a distance of less than 1 m around the high voltage power supply was 29.625±5.738 mGauss and 25.17±0.92 V/m respectively, which is less than the safe amounts recommended by the ICNIRP for occupational exposure (5000 mG and 10000 V/m) and even for public exposure (1000 mG and and 5000 V/m). The minimum intensity of EM fields for a less than 3 m distance was found to be 0.1±0.005 mGauss, which relates to a CT-scanner system installed at Farshchian hospital. Among the whole equipments evaluated in the current survey, the most intense magnetic and electric field was found to be for imaging technician office, which was 3.050±0.004 mGauss and 128.88±0.05 V/m respectively; it is lower than the tolerances recommended by the ICNIRP. Conclusion: According to our results, it seems that the EM field occupational exposure for radiation workers working at Hamadan hospitals does not exceed the tolerances recommended by the ICNIRP. Therefore, we did not find any issue related to the over-irradiation of non-ionizing among the radiologists studied. Diversity of practices and methods in all fields is the basis of emerging standards in different areas. World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) has standardized eXtensible Markup Language (XML) as a very convenient tool to structure data for numerous purposes. OGC standardized Geography Markup Language (GML), which is an XML-based language, to store and transport geospatial data. Despite the fact that it is a medium to separate georeferenced data from presentation, GML by itself is not intended to visualize geo-referenced data. One of the solutions to visualize GML is to use eXtensible Style sheet Language Transformation (XSLT) as transformer to a visualization language such as Scalable Vector Graphic (SVG). Unlike the usual procedure, the major advantage of the proposed approach is that the transformation process is shifted to the client-side. XSLT as a median language is a general-purpose transformation tool. As it is not specialized for map cartography, map making process is very complicated using this primitive language. To facilitate transformation process, in this research, XSLT is extended to meet cartography requirements. Furthermore, a graphical user interface (XCartoT) is designed to set all the map properties interactively. XCartoT provides a user-friendly interface for cartographers to automatically generate necessary XSL files for their intended maps. The goal of this research is to develop a major step towards the geospatial Web.

A Rare Case of Thymic Carcinoma  [PDF]

Abstract: Thymic carcinomas are unusual tumors of the thymus gland. Basaloid carcinoma, an unusal epithelioid varient of a thymic carcinoma, is a rare histopathological subtype, and is not well charecterized in the literature. We present the anatomical and histogical features of a basoloid thymic carcinoma, and discuss current diagnosis and imaging strategies, as well as the operative and oncologic care of this type of thymmic carcinoma. Basaloid carcinomas of the thymus after complete surgical resection and adjuvant therapy genarally have a favorable long-term prognosis.
